Very attentive to my medical needs. Medications are offered in the office if available and could save a trip to the pharmacy.

I was given 2 shots and prescription called in then on Monday I hurt the knee even worse, could hardly walk, I returned to get further treatment. I was given a paper to take to get the xray done (I had to ask where I was supposed to take this), then had to hobble out to my car, park and hobble on a long walk to get it done. I ask if I would hear from them, and was told yes, it probably takes a couple hours. After hearing nothing by 4:30 pm, I called was told someone would call before the end of the day. This did not happen, no one called, I called back on Tues. am and after being put on hold, the lady who answered the phone came back and said" your xrays showed no problems, your knee is fine". I was stunned and "excuse me, but my knee is not fine, I can hardly walk". So when I asked what I was supposed to do now I was told they suggest I go to the hospital or somewhere that can do more etc.. Guess I should have went somewhere else to begin with. I can't believe I got no call back, no real instructions, and no referral to further help. I'm simply amazed at the treatment. I understand they might not be able to really help my problem but they could have certainly been more courteous. Lesson learned.

They cleaned out her ear with water (anytime I've been to an urgent care for this, they've always used hydrogen peroxide) and her ear felt better. But then they billed our insurance for $517.00!!!! We only owe a portion of that, but the principle remains -- they are WAY overcharging for services. I called and left a message for the office manager THREE times to discuss this and she never called me back. It's awful. Stay away.

I visited this urgent care as I am new to the area and didn't have a primary physician. The front…read moredesk people were very kind. It took about an hour to be seen. The PA that day was Jason. He seems very knowledgeable but he has an attitude. I almost said something to him about it. Here's a clue Jason, don't make your clients feel like they are dumb. Not sure I would go back. 2.5/5.0.

I went to UNC Urgent Care at Flowers in Clayton for two weeks of ongoing gastrointestinal issues…read more Before coming in, I called on Saturday morning and was told they could provide me with a stool testing kit if needed, which is why I scheduled the visit for Monday. During the visit, the provider, Kellie Cochran, NP, introduced herself as "Dr. Kelly." I later learned from my paperwork that she is a nurse practitioner. I don't mind seeing an NP, but patients should be clearly told who they are seeing so that we can make informed decisions. Even though my symptoms had been going on for over two weeks, I was not given a stool test kit and was not offered a treatment plan. Instead, I was referred to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy, which was not the reason I came to urgent care. I was also told to follow up with primary care, but my new patient appointment is not until March 12. I left without testing, medication, or any real guidance on how to address what I came in for. If you need diagnostic testing done, I would recommend going somewhere else!

No where to walk when you're in labor. The waiting room is very small and dated as well. The nurses I had after delivery were great! Very nice and attentive. This was my second child and felt the previous hospital we delivered in was nicer. (Just too far away)

Johnston has definitely left a mark on my family for life. We just had our first baby at the…read morewoman's pavilion. At 4cm dilated and excruciating contractions my wife was asked to sit down and answer some questions before someone pointed out that she needed to be put in a room asap. Delivery went good, and we felt it was smooth sailing from there but that was not the case. She started experience nausea, severe pain, and swelling of her limbs as soon as 12 hours after delivery. Her heart rate hovered around 120-130 for 2 days and even got up to the 150's at one point but we were told it was just hormones and that it was nothing to worry about. We new something was wrong and none of the doctors knew a thing so our main goal was to just get discharged and go from there. As we were leaving the nurse Carlene was sent with us to check our car seat, i had no idea how to fasten the base to my sons car seat so I asked her for help, to which she responded "I don't know how to do it" and sent us on our way. We get home and not even a day later my wife could hardly walk, and was swelling all over. Eventually we called EMS and we were brought to wake med. we have currently been in Wake Med for a week due to TSS, which as many know is a life threatening infection that travels through your blood stream. Not only did she have a infection right after delivery but her stitches were loose and came apart. Our 1 week and 2 day old child has only been bottle fed by his mother 2 times and she has yet to change a diaper or give him a outfit. Any mother could only imagine how hard that could be on a first time mom. I am extremely upset and would highly advice that nobody use this as a place to deliver your baby, it is not worth the risk.

I've used FastMed Urgent Care (the name has changed a couple times over the years) since I moved to…read morethis area in 2004. They've been a (literally) lifesaver to me and my family when we needed emergency care (such as stitching wounds) and when we needed care on holidays outside our GP's office hours. My husband and I are disabled and have chronic health conditions that can't always wait a few days for our family doctor's office to re-open or for an appointment to become available. They've always provided excellent care and the staff is awesome. Wait times can be non-existent or two or more hours, depending on the number pf patients, but you can go online and get on the list before you leave home. It's much better than waiting around at the hospital ER! There are two waiting rooms, one a "well room" for injuries and other non-contagious illnesses, which is vital for my husband because he's on immune suppressants for his organ transplant. There are tvs in both, and internet is available while you wait. (But bring a book or some crayons for the kids). X-rays can be taken onsite, which even my family doctor can't provide. Of course they take care of insurance, and you may not even have a copay (my insurance company prefers the urgent care over a hospital ER and passes the savings onto me by charging it as an office visit rather than an ER.) Check with yours - you may save money as well. They also provide drug testing for employers, school physicals for the kids and immunizations. Immunizations, again, may be another moneysaver over a regular doctor visit, depending on your insurance.) I get my flu shots here with no copay, while my doc charges for an office visit! Customer service is awesome. On one visit appendicitis was suspected and they called ahead to WakeMed and had all my info transferred so they were ready for me upon arrival. I didn't have to re-fill out forms, etc. This was reassuring and eased the emotional trauma since my life might have been in danger. I've always been treated respectfully and listened to, not just blinked at and pushed out the door, even when the clinic was very busy and full of waiting sick people. Highly recommend FastMed! Thanks!

I came in with a bacterial infection, paid $200 and it was still present after I finished their given prescription. I came back in, paid another $200 and they told me they can't help me and maybe it's viral, they really don't know. I still have the infection now, over 3 weeks after I initially got it. If I was a doctor, I'd be embarrassed that all the time and effort I put into my degree resulted in a job just scamming the sick for a paycheck. What a waste of human potential.
