On a late Sunday morning in April, the place was probably busier than usual but I still had plenty of space to hit the machines I wanted to. Only one other person was in the 30 minute workout area and we managed to share the machines pretty well as the lights flipped red and yellow and green. After, a pretty good shower. The hot water started off very hot and continued long enough but then cooled. With three of the showers being used at the same time on the men's side, I'm guessing we drained the water heater pretty well. The only other complaint I have is there isn't a shelf in the shower. No one likes putting their stuff on the floor, least of all me. It's a large parking lot and there were two very obvious RV campervans parked. Not me, today. I live here in Charlotte! Its a little small inside but the layout of equipment is well done so you don't feel too close to everyone while working out. Ed, the gym owner is a great guy and very easy to get along with. His gym membership fees are very reasonable and you can sign up for a month to month membership as well. So far the other gym members are all respectable and I've experienced no issues. I usually end up in the parking deck…read more(plenty of spaces) but it's just not easy to get in and out... which bothers me slightly since it's advertised as "express." Aside from the parking, the staff and the facilities are a good option if you don't want to deal with a larger size YMCA. With smaller size, comes potential for overcrowding, but I've never seen it busting at the seams. Pretty much all equipment and classes are available here (with exception to a pool) but you can get everything you want done in a workout here. I've taken a couple of yoga classes here and they are great.

They have a small group exercise room for Zumba and Yoga etc on the main level and then upstairs they have cardio, stretch and weight equipment plus men and women's locker rooms. Actually quite well set up for the size. If you are looking for tons of machines or a lap pool, this is not your gym, but if you want a quick work out with less hassle getting in and out - this might be the location for you. I live right here, so i have no excuse not to go here. The Zumba class is the most fun. The only downside is that parking in front is limited - so you might have to use the deck - but i would try the off hours... 10am - noon and 1pm to 430pm and 8-closing.. less people.
