Sad to see this property listed on a foreclosure sales business I follow. I hope they can recover…read moreand continue their business. It went from retail to contractor only around the time Covid hit, but we planned/planted our new build home with multiple shrubs from here and really appreciate their customer service and knowledgeable staff in planning our yard.

I would like to make a strong recommendation for Ed Rodrigues of Greenworks Landscaping. Attached…read moreyou can see the pictures of how my driveway turned out with Ed as the sales guy, job foreman, and head stone mason. What the pictures don't say however, are all of the little nuances and seams that Ed successfully trouble shot along the way. In a word, it was complicated! In the end, the project turned out to be visually stunning and flawlessly executed. He built one retaining wall from scratch along a stretch of land with significantly changing elevation and seamlessly extended another that was in great shape; but you'd never know from looking at it that it was extended. Perhaps most importantly, my project had some quirky drainage challenges bc it is a legacy home in a hilly area. I'm not exaggerating when I say when we get a heavy rain, it doesn't matter where the water lands. It all goes right to the drain! I attribute this to the fact that Ed set up the elevation strings to retest the pitching at multiple stages in the project. Almost compulsively--which is what you want in a contractor! Lastly, Ed and his team showed up literally every weather permitting week day from the day they started until the day they finished. The communication was excellent and I felt like we were on a team together to trouble shoot the structural and visual nuances of the project. Ed can be reached at ed@gwli.org or 703-898-6418.

From all signs, they were our best choice... I'm extremely disappointed to find that he runs his business this way. Perhaps we dodged a bullet.

We have used Cedar Run for three years and this was our last year…read more 2017 - First year Cedar Run paid attention to weed control (yard maintance), mowing, and flower bed maintenance. However, they continually threw the new mulch into the grass with the weed-eaters. 2018 - Year two, they forgot to clean and service the flower beds and tend to our yard maintenance plan. I called the owner and he sent the team out to perform one of the yard maintenance treatments. We paid for all 8 steps, but only rec'd a few treatments. Additionally, the aeration and seeding team failed to mark the sprinkler heads, so in the spring, I had to replace three sprinkler heads due to leaks. Still mulch in the yard. 2019 - Year three, Cedar Run started out right, but again failed to follow their yard maintenance/treatment contracted plan. Again, I had to call to get them to come out and do a second treatment. By the time we should have had 5 treatments, we had only rec'd two. I asked for the additional treatments via email and I was ignored repeatedly. After several weeks, I asked the owner to forgo the aeration and seeding this year due to an addition being added to our home (the yard had been torn up with heavy equipment). The owner said yes; however, the monthly payment did not decrease. When I contacted him to confirm the change, he told me to accept the contract as is or terminate as of that date. We terminated the service, but he refuses to refund my money for the services not performed. I have sent two additional requests for the refund, but they have all been ignored by the owner. Summary of service: Cedar Run does not perform consistently year after year. The mowing is uneven, the edge is poor and missed, and the yard maintenance program was not performed according to contract. Unscrupulous business practices. Buyer beware.
