We work with master gardeners and designers so we don't generally hire LJ for landscaping. The total paid to LJ including labor and supplies was approx $30,000. Many of the projects were completed to our delight, some to our satisfaction, and most recently we noticed a slip in quality. Overall we recommend LJ. And would suggest Ro anyone engaging them to walk everything down - grading, elevation, proper footing, dimensions, methods TWICE. Go over everything twice. Make sure you are on the same page and that the final intended put-through end result is CLEAR. There was a princess tree or something of that nature that sprouted up last year and needed to go as it was getting out of control, my wife wanted weeds removed, washed rocks, and peonies in front. In the back we also finally decided to finish our walkway with flagstone. Jon was great to work with, responding to both texts and emails for verifications and changes throughout the process and pricing was competitive. Very happy with the end result and how quickly Jon and his team were able to finish everything. I highly recommend Bio Rich Green Care and I am looking forward to working with them in the future.

BAM's was incredibly efficient from start to finish. Our flower beds were overgrown with all the…read moreworst sorts of weeds and random plants, and filled with leaves from years past. My wife and I had always planned to get to it ourselves, but work and family always came first. So, we finally sought help, and BAM's was great. Another landscaper wanted 500 - 1000 dollars just to consult and draw a pretty picture of what our yard *could* look like. Then I reached out to BAM's. Initially I reached out just about the front and side yards and sent them pictures. They offered me quote based on what I wanted done (spring cleanup and mulch installation), and I accepted. They quickly got me scheduled and when the day came, they did just an amazingly efficient job (much, much faster than I ever thought possible) and a very thorough one (it wasn't just fast, it was well done). The three guys who did the work were just incredibly friendly and professional, and did the beds in the backyard too, much to my very happy surprise (the quote wasn't in fact limited to the front and sides, but I was so overwhelmed with what I thought were the worst parts of the yard, I neglected that fact). My wife can now walk outside without feeling overwhelmed about all there is to do. I would work again with BAM's in a heartbeat.

I did not want to drudge up more drama or for this business to threaten to disclose my private information and address. There's a reason I waited until I moved across the country to post this reviewed. I was scared! Giving this business your credit card is a carte blanche for them to rack up charges. You are not charged for each visit, but for months at a time. The explanation is that weekly visits are not guaranteed, but your contract guarantees them weekly payment. I was charged extra to weed wack part of my yard that had a gradual 6-in elevation difference and therefore was not mowed or edged for months. No permission was sought of course for this extra charge.

I hold owner Kevin singularly responsible, as he was awful to deal with. My wife and I asked the company to perform a number of tasks in our front and back yards. I should have known to stop the project before it started when Kevin couldn't even deliver an estimate on his timeline and I had to chase him to get it. His estimate seemed reasonable at the time if he had planned to send a few crew members to knock it out in a timely fashion. While weather delays were certainly not his fault, he primarily sent one excellent worker to do most of the job by himself. Kevin made token appearances, as did a few other people. I had to constantly repeat myself to Kevin throughout the project, who failed to ever do what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. His constant excuse-making and bogus apologies became laughable. Even with the weather, it shouldn't have taken this long to weed our front garden, remove a relatively small amount of grass and replace it with weedblock and mulch. I had to constantly chase Kevin to get things done. He even declared the project over without consulting with me -- even though the mulch he put down in the back (most of it free to him because our neighbor gave us theirs) was way too thin to do the job. He had told me clearly that multiple loads of mulch were included in the price -- mulch he was supposed to add in addition to my neighbor's pile. Tabori showed up at what they thought was the end with a pitiful pickup truck of mulch, which wasn't thick enough to even walk on without sliding on the weedblock. I had to demand he return with more, which his company finally did today. I will never use this company again. Despite the one excellent worker, Kevin was horrendous to deal with from start to finish. I've never written a Yelp review this negative, but I'd hate to see anybody waste their time and money the way we did. Kevin made this a stressful pain in the neck from start to finish -- and I've communicated that to him directly twice.

Honestly can't thank Luis and his team enough. After this intense summer, the lawn was a mess. I…read moreknew I'd have to do a bit maintenance job in the fall and spring. I saw the temperatures dip and I bought a dethatcher to get to work. I set this weekend aside to do the work. I scheduled another company to come do the aeration. I spent Friday afternoon and Saturday morning mowing low and dethatching. At 2:30, the person supposed to do the aeration told me their machine broke. It was scheduled to rain at 4pm so I was a little frantic. Luis was able to fit me in at 4:20 and his team got to work. Luckily the rain held off. As they were aerating, I was overseeding lol. Started to drizzle as we were all finishing up. I managed to lay down some fertilizer just before the rain intensified. I can't thank Luis enough for doing such a last min job and considering it was just to aerate. They drove all the way from laurel just to help me out. More than the work itself, I really speak to the kindness he showed. Even when he arrived, we had a very nice conversation and it was just overall a nice exchange. I'll def look to work with Luis and his team again in the future.

We bought this house about 2.5 years ago and saw a small drainage area next to the driveway. Not only was it an eye sore, but the area was quickly eroding towards the driveway. Zack at Brother Nature came out for an estimate and explained how he would be able to not only fix the problem, but also make it look great. When I left for work this morning I had a horrible eroding side yard, when I came home I found this amazingly redone stone drainage area (see picture).
