Who wants to grow fruit, flowers, veggies perhaps a niche plant industry? Well, I've been a big fan of urban grow systems and can say they absolutely rock!!!!! Tucked away close to the east side of Santa Barbara This store has been around for more than a decade helping locals, businesses and online orders meet their individual needs for what they desire.. Whether you have a pro greenthumb A curious beginner They have something for everyone to make gardening easier.. Urban Grow systems specializes in organic, hydroponic, composting, processing of plant material, educational matters, combatting pest and assisting in outdoor and indoor grow setup.. They have sooo much to offer.. Most of the staff that takes care of consumers needs has been around awhile. And we all know living in Santa Barbara how rare that is. Jared the owner is super friendly and easy to talk to.. I can't say enough about this place.. I'm just glad I found them So you all come down and visit the team and let them assist in making your life easier. Before I leave... let me give you an example of a situation I was involved with... I called another local hydroponic store.. Told them I had issues with thrips ( garden pest) The store associate told me there isn't much he can do He said it's over with. I called Jared explaining my problem And he told me "I have a solution for you." I walked out with two bottles Specific directions.. How me using the products would effect the environment And a week later the pest were gone...... read more

Sat outside for an hour and 15 minutes today (9:00am-10:15am) because I desperately needed some products for work in the garden today. Business hours say they open at 9:00am so I woke up early, drove from the valley, and got here on time. Complete waste of my morning. Now I'm driving another 30-45 minutes south to try to source what I need elsewhere. If I didn't have such great experience in the past I'd have left a 1star review. Hopefully they can figure it out in the future. Really disappointed.. read more

Absolute beauty of a store. If you grow literally anything... this is your store. Tonssss of soils, fertilizers, and many different options for plant nutrients! Jared is the man! He will make anyone excited to grow anything. Thanks to him I've been growing a pepper plant for a few months now and it's looking amazing! read more

Let me get straight to the point. I've been to many plant/Hydro/grow stores from here to LA big and small. None were as accommodating as Urban Grow Systems is. I was treated with a friendly smile and hello as soon as I stepped in the store. The gentleman who greeted me also offered help right away. Showed me their great selection of organic nutrients and products. I was just there to pick up soil and they had one of my favorite soils "tupar" Royal Gold. Picked up a few bags for a great price. The gentleman helping me rung me up , I paid and he right away went to grab the soil for me and brought it to my vehicle and loaded it up for me. Again out of every store I have been to this stores customer service goes above and beyond. I will be back for all my plant needs and highly recommend this Santa Barbara location and will gladly drive an hour north to visit them. They do have new a location in Ventura , But again the customer service was so good at this location I don't mind the drive. read more

The staff is knowledgeable and very nice. I always go in for my dirt when growing my vegetables and the selection is great.

Urban Grow Systems is AMAZING! I drove over 2 hours to Urban Grow Systems (UGS) to buy Nectar for the Gods #4 soil because noone has this, or any decent soil near me. Everything is either out of stock and will not be available or it is backordered. When I walked into UGS to pick up my soil, they not only had my soil, they also had many differents brands in stock. The store was also fully stocked with nutrients and grow supplies, and most important, I felt treated with respect and that my needs were important and valuable. Jared, thank you for all your help, not only with my soil, but also in getting other items needed that I couldn't find elsewhere. Highly recommend. read more

Tried ordering basic nutrients. They told me I needed to print out a form and add a scan of both sides of my i.d. and scan both sides of my debit card that they already charged. I emailed them back saying it would be a lot easier to order somewhere else to refund my money. They said I'd be added to the refund list. A week goes by and I emailed them asking what kind of time frame I could expect my refund to receive no response. Do yourself a favor and order off ebay. It'll be cheaper with free shipping. read more

This store is amazing. I desperately needed trimming shears and not only did they have a nice selection, Bill offered to price match as I usually buy my trimming shears somewhere else. I stumbled upon this place on Google but now that I know they are here, and how accommodating they are, how competitive their pricing is, this is my new go to hydro store! read more

Awesome grow shop in Santa Barbara. Huge selection of supplies and a very knowledgeable staff ready to answer questions. Thanks guys!

I just started my seeds for transplant later in the garden and my grow lights seemed weak so I decided to go LED and replace my lighting and was happy that Urban Grow said they were open on Sunday. Drove out there and the sign in the window also says they are open on Sunday but they are NOT OPEN ON SUNDAY. Fix your online info please. Have to go elsewhere I guess. read more
