I called them after the delivery to let them know they delivered the wrong product and they blamed their supplier for the color difference and said sorry but too bad. They never gave me a heads up prior to my order about the color difference. I would never have ordered if I knew it was brown. I spent hard earned money only to be mislead on what kind of product I was getting. Now half of my yard will be brown and the other half is black. The first picture is what I ordered and is taken directly from their website. The second is what they delivered. Clearly it is not the same product.

Then there was the pile of debris from a shelving unit we had to break up to remove, and finally, a fallen tree stump that we could not even budge. We decided that all of this had to go. Sharing photos and dialog until we were confident that they were the right choice. They were on time, friendly and efficient, and very respectful of us and our home. I enjoyed my trip here. I am posting photos however there is more to see here…read more If you are homeschooling, this would be a good place to take a field trip for things like recycling, rock identification, landscaping, and more! If you are a high-school senior educator or vocational instructor, again, this is a great place to visit for job possibilities in life after school. This place is huge! I have included a pic of 2 photos they have in their office. The office is located on a tiny fraction of the land. They have mulch options, rock options, lawn recycling options just to start. They can deliver or help you load your vehicle/trailer. They also have boxes they can leave at your home then come back and pick up once you fill it. All that is on their price lists. Jessalyn was in the office when I arrived. She was extremely well versed in all they offer. I received bags and a sharpie to take with me out to the rocks so I could take samples and write on the bags. She was friendly, and helpful! When it came to the price list, it is very thorough, and Jessalyn was able to break it down for me. For example a big black garbage bag of lawn debris can be about $3 a bag. (Obviously prices are subjected to change). She explained how much the average truck bed holds and what that equated to in cubic yards and explained where that was on the price sheet. I have been getting quoted from local stores and individual landscapers and the prices here are in line with other quotes. There were other employees that came in who also were well versed in landscaping, and offered me great alternatives to what I was planning and why what they were suggesting would be a better option. It wasn't about trying to upsell me something, they actually cared enough to let me know my project might not be stable enough unless I switched out a couple things. I appreciated this as I hadn't thought of it and, what was suggested would be a cleaner and safer way to complete my project! Thank you all! When I asked about a couple of services they don't offer, they had local recommendations available for me. I will definitely be using their services. The only thing needing upgrading is the signage on the way in and clearing directions on where to park. With it being so big, it would be nice to have maps at the office they can hand out with directions on where specifically to go and park when you arrive at your desired destination within their business grounds.

By far the worst contractor experience I've ever had. I hired them in late September of 2022 for…read moresome very basic landscaping. They promised it'd be done in one to two months. (Which at the time should have been a warning, since the work I requested should have taken a week or less.) It is now mid-February of 2023 and the work still isn't done! They've left a wheelbarrow, weed whacker, and a pile of garbage bags full of yard debris sitting in my yard since November. I haven't heard from them since December. Of the incomplete work that they have done: - I had a grass and dirt driveway that I asked to be replace with sod, with mulch on the edges. Pretty standard yard, right? Instead, they put one color of mulch on the edge and filled the rest of the yard/driveway with a different color of mulch! And they did nothing to kill or cover the grass underneath, so now the mulch is full of grass and weeds. - I had two front yard patches with some lovely flowers, where I wanted the weeds pulled and some decorative rocks and plants added. I paid for those rocks in September and despite multiple promises that they were being delivered on a certain day, they have never arrived. Instead of only pulling the weeds, the help that they hired pull most of the nice plants out, including roses, but did nothing to kill the deep-rooted weeds that needed removing. So what had been my flower patches are now mostly bare dirt and weeds. So now I'm out thousands of dollars and my yard looks embarrassingly worse than if I'd never hired them at all. As a first-time homeowner who hadn't yet had a bad contractor experience, I'll chalk this up to an expensive lesson learned. From now on, I'll make sure to get everything in writing and never pay for work until it's actually done.

We live in outer NE Portland and for the past 5 years we've paid Portland Disposal and Recycling to handle what we didn't consume. First, there were a couple of times our garbage was missed but you know what? Two of those times I had forgotten to pay our bill. One time we were passed up. Life isn't perfect. We managed for the week and realized we buy too much crap and throw away too much crap. It was a small thing that didn't deserve our energy or drama and we learned from it. Second, a couple of the drivers helped us do a better job of being better customers. It's a relationship to pay for a service we want. They don't work for me. We work together to get my needs met. No trash is spilled on the ground if your lids open toward the street and the bins are spaced a bit apart so they can be easily picked up by a big machine. Be grateful there are good people doing jobs that are cold, difficult and early. Not every human in every company is happy or friendly. There are some unhappy people out here in the real world.
