Back on 2019 I had an irrigation system built by a landscape company in Portland. I recently…read moreneeded some work on it and called them but they indicated they no longer do work in Vancouver, but when I asked if there was anyone they would recommend, they said Simple Lawns. I had a problem with two leaks in the irrigation system. You could see water getting into the valve boxes when you turned on two of my zones. My suspicion was that the water pipes coming out from the valve to the irrigation tubing had broken when I had a contractor install a pumped sewer system last fall. The trench for the sewer pipe went across the water outlet pipes from the valve boxes. I called Simple Lawns to see if they could come work in fixing the leaks. They were able to schedule a visit by their irrigation expert within a few days. I paid a deposit which was for the service call to diagnose the problem and assess how much it would cost to fix. The employee came and looked it over and was able to fix it right away. He had it fixed within an hour or two. I was surprised it was possible to fix it so quickly, and he indicated the cost would probably be just the service call fee or a little more. The one slightly odd thing was I didn't get a email from the company to indicate the job was completed and that there were no additional charges. But the repairs were successful and they didn't send any additional bill, so I figured that was the situation. I was dreading trying to get those leaks fixed and I was amazed how quickly they fixed them and that it cost way less than I expected it would.

I called for a quote and Paul came over the next day and talked through everything with us. I was embarrassed that our yard had gotten so bad, but Paul saw through that to the possibilities and made the cleanup sound simple. And it was! For a very reasonable price, my front yard and back are beautiful and weed-free. In the before and after pictures attached you can see weeds over 10' tall in my back yard. All Seasons professionals came in and magically my backyard became a place we want to invite friends. We had pavers on either side of our driveway that had sunk several inches below the driveway, creating a serious trip hazard. All Seasons leveled the ground and reset them in cement. It really upgraded the look of the whole area. They pulled out everything we identified we wanted to go and made the rest look well put together. They carefully shaped several trees (including one 50' high!), pulled out a number of volunteer plants we didn't want, and did it all with hand-shovels to be careful about any utilities. They even put back the soaker hose we had run a few weeks before in the exact same place it had been! On top of all this, they really are ALL SEASONS. They put up holiday lights! We're reserving a spot at the beginning of fall to make sure we get exactly what we want for that t too!

My husband contracted with you to clean up our property before our upcoming roof-installation and house-painting, but both of us walked around the house asking for what we wanted when you came to estimate the costs. You seem like a nice person and I was looking forward to the work being done. I walked around the house in a rush after you said the work was complete (I had to step out of a Zoom meeting to rush around and do this), and saw that you had not created a one-foot gap around the house for fire safety as I'd requested. You then did so. But then later I saw that the grass bushes beside our driveway were not consistently trimmed; the area next to our garage wasn't cleaned up; and what bothered me most is that after you left, we saw that much of the ivy was left under our azalea and rhododendron, though I'd requested its removal. My husband and I are both 65 with back trouble; we'll either have to hurt our backs completing these jobs or get another contractor, unless you come back to complete the job, in which case I will thank you publicly here. However this will have to now wait another two weeks or so, until our new roof is on and our house has been painted. 6 photos below.

When they kill plants they just ignore the carcasses or stick in the identical replacement, without any learning.
