I made an appointment 2 weeks prior the scheduled date for my daughter and myself. We drove an hour just to be told we did not have an appointment on the books. Apparently when I scheduled I did not have my credit card with me at the time and I asked the employee will my appointment still be locked in she replied yes. Upon my arrival to Urban Day Spa the front desk attendant was very professional and was apologetic. I booked an appt. 2 weeks in advance, after a massage and then when I called two days before to find out the time of the appointment, they told me I did not have one. This is the second time this has happened to me. They do not know how to book appointments. And I think they are doing this on purpose....Karen is the best therapist there but they have messed up my appointments to many times now. read more

I absolutely love Urban Day Spa. My family and I have been coming here for years and I have yet to find another spa that offers such quality at such great prices. I've had everything from a Classic 1 Hr Massage to a Sports Massage and of course, taken advantage of several of their packages (they are usually on my birthday wish list). They do a great job advertising specials; you'll always know the monthly specials if you're on their email distribution list. Additionally, most their staff speaks Spanish, which is great for my family members who are more comfortable speaking in Spanish. As I mentioned earlier, my entire family loves this place. I was able to book an appt online which was great and simple. They have a very small waiting area. I felt rushed into my appointment, even though I was 20 minutes early. The massage was mediocre at best I honestly get better massages at the mall. The weird part was the masseuse said some odd things that were almost insulting. I don't think she even realized it she was older and didn't speak English very well.I probably won't be coming back here, you get what you pay for ! read more

I am truly upset at this place as it went downhill. I came here a few times for massages and facials. the prices were decent in the area. Last week I came back for a massage and facial. My massage was nice and ended at 7:05 pm. Of course the massage was 55 mins long so I needed to take a bathroom break. I came back in at 7:10 and continued to the facial. Well my facial was suppose to be 45 mins but they cut me short 1/3rd and it was only 30 mins. When I asked her why she said it was because I was in the restroom? Wth? I clearly asked before I came in for my massage if you guys can fit me in for a full facial and you said yes. If you told me there wasn't enough time or it was gonna be cut short than I would have never scheduled it the same day and would have just gotten my massage. Anyways after I came home next few days my face got really dried up and the facial made me break out. I have a very dried up face with skin peeling and I have to continuously put moisturizer on. I don't know what they put on my face or what cheap chemicals they used but it is the worst facial ever! Never again will I come back to this place. I only give it 2 stars because the massage was decent. read more

I received a massage from Bryon and also Dixon. Both of them were great. Dixon was a little too heavy causing a bit of pain more than pleasure, but he was still very good. Bryon was excellent-not too deep and not too light. I got a deep tissue massage from Bryon and he was very knowledgeable about the anatomy. The conversation was professional. He did a stretching technique that really helped loosen up my tight neck and shoulders. I would highly recommend Bryon and I will also recommend Dixon. As far as the spa itself, the prices are very reasonable. The spa is not very fancy, but it is clean and comfortable and well decorated. You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a great massage. read more

The massage and back scub were very nice. The reason I won't go back is because, like most spas, the employees have no idea what packages are what. I booked the tranquility package and never got the ginger scalp treatment. I tried to ask the masseuse who took care of me about the ginger treatment, but she didn't speak english well enough. She gave me a bottle of something after I was dressed. I went to the front desk and asked if that was it, just in the neck area iwth the regular massage, or if there was additional treatment in the tranquility package that covered the whole head, and she didn't know. She said that bottle belonged to them and I couldn't take it. Then she sent an email to someone asking about my situation and how to deal with it. I didn't have time to wait around, so I have no idea what I paid for (with a gift certificate.) She gave me a total, and I just took care of it with the gift certificate and tip, and left. I won't be back because I stand that kind of confusion. read more

Facial was a joke.. I informed the person that made my appointment that my main reason for the facial was because of the white heads in my nose.. She stated it would be handled with the exfoliation during the facial.. There was no exfoliation, pressure, or gentle scrub.. Only lightly rubbed about 4 creams/oils on my face for $40..
