U.S. Home restoration was contracted to do some work on our home. The work at the time was subcontracted from them, to some guys who seemed really unprepared and unprofessional. They took weeks between tearing the siding off our house and putting the new sidding back on. They left nails and siding all over the yard which I had to clean up myself. They were also supposed to replace two skylights. Instead of replacing them, they took advantage of me being out of town, and my mother law being alone at the house to do half the job. Saying they don't do skylights, and replacing only the flashing and the dome over the skylight. Even though had accepted the job and the check. Since the work has been done I found nails everywhere including places I am not even sure how they got to, three different pieces of siding have just come off. Which never happened in the 20years the old siding was on. Worst of all the skylight that had a slight leak before has now apparently been leaking into the wall to the point that a small flood of water came pouring out a lower area and there is mold in the wall. When my wife called the company to try and rectify the situation, they told her that the sales guy we dealt with didn't work for them anymore, and hadn't handled the warrantee paperwork properly in the first place. There was nothing they would be willing to do for us. I tried to call back and reason with the representative I was speaking to. He was rude and would not even discuss the possibility of helping us rectify the mistakes made. It rather quickly devolved into an argument which ended with him hanging up on me. Nobody from this company ever did there job properly or fealt the need to make any apology for doing a crappy job. Then as thing have gone wrong with the crappy work they have basically told us it is not there problem. Stay as far away from these people as possible. You will regret it otherwise.

Several friends and families had recommended the company based on their positive experiences, so I reached out hoping to receive an estimate for the work needed in my home. During my initial contact, I was immediately asked whether the project would be covered by insurance. I was told that the company typically does not prefer to take on insurance-related projects because their pricing may exceed what insurance will cover. I still requested that someone visit my home, assess the basement, and provide a quote. I was informed that someone would follow up with me. Instead, I later received a text message stating that Capstone was declining the job. Because I had been referred by previous customers, I asked whether the owner could contact me directly. I was then asked by text who had referred me, and I provided the names along with photos of their recent work. The following day, I was asked to send photos of my basement and the remediation work, which I did. After that, I received another text message stating again that the company was declining the job. I was disappointed that I was never provided an opportunity to receive an in-person assessment or a written quote, and I was not able to speak directly with the owners. All communication took place through text messages. Based on the interaction, it appeared that assumptions were made about my ability or willingness to pay outside of insurance coverage before anyone discussed the project with me in detail. Unfortunately, this experience left me with concerns about the level of customer service and professionalism I received. While others may have had positive experiences with Capstone, my experience was disappointing, and I hope future customers receive clearer communication, a fair opportunity for assessment, and more professional follow-up.
