This is not a retail store of bakery. It's wholesale only. Don't be fooled as I was as they no longer sell to the public.

Pan Lourdes is an inexpensive, family-friendly walk on the sweet side. For those new to…read moreMexican/Salvadorean baked goods, this is a good place to get up to speed on the basics. Latin pastry is drier and less sweet than what I'm used to. Here, there are worthy exceptions. The semita with pineapple-molasses swirl is good. The cheese filling in some items has an unexpectedly refined flavor. The bread pudding is my favorite, moist and eggy with plump raisins and a dark caramelized crust. Pan Lourdes is strictly no-frills. Along with basic coffee, you'll find the Hispanic classics, plus a couple of doughnuts. You have to ask for bread, which they keep out back. There is almost nothing with chocolate.

I only visited this location once, but it is one I would definitely check into again…read more It's a great bakery featuring items that are more Hispanic in nature. That being said, don't be surprised if the person assisting you knows little or no English. The pastries are all behind glass cases, and things didn't look disturbed from day-to-day, which gives me the impression they aren't removed overnight, but I am making a broad generalization (thus, my assumption should be taken with a grain of salt). The pastries are of great quality, though. They are flaky, light, and tasty. I was surprised, since it's a huge departure from the sugary, syrupy concoctions offered in most malls, airports, and coffee shops. The real star here is the price, though. Two pastries (one a pineapple empanada, the other a large equivalent to an eclair or canoli) cost less than $3 with tax. If I ever happen upon this neighborhood, I definitely know where I will satiate my morning sweet tooth craving.

Triple Chocolate Cake with Rum? Pineapple Upside Down Cake?…read more Strawberry Crunch Cake? Mini cheesecakes in every flavor? Cupcakes?? All varieties? Super rich? Hot warm and gooey chocolate chip cookies? Banana Pudding? In all different kinds of flavors? Cinnamon rolls in a wide variety of flavors fresh and hot out of the oven? Really good customer service that makes you come back for more every other week? I don't think this review is doing them justice, honestly. Everything is always fresh and flavorful and it's just all-in-all a good place to get your sugar fix. PLEASE NOTE: the menu changes *daily* so it's a good idea to check their website the morning of your visit to see if anything tickles your fancy (it will).

I tried A banana pudding flavor that was actually very good and I truly enjoyed the flavors. It was definitely giving southern banana pudding. But then I try to red velvet and it was very dry so I wasn't a fan of it at all. I would still say try it out because one review shouldn't make you say yay or nay entirely if the experience is up in the air. Service was pretty good and the location is very cute and clean and inviting. A friend of mine also ordered a few cupcakes and I can't remember the flavors but there was one that was dry for her as well and wasn't very tasty. But the other two she said we're pretty good so yes I would say still try this spot out to see which flavors you may enjoy.
