* Beware, of the finance loan manger. Mike Reese at the Bob Johnson Ford in Avon N.Y. I purchased a…read morevan at this location and my salesman, Taylor Bennett was great, honest, informative, and very helpful. I would buy a vehicle off Tayor Bennett again anytime! The loan officer Mike Reese is a major problem at this location, he was told to get my loan from ESL credit union, because I do all my banking with them and knew I would be approved. I paid for most of the vehicle in cash and only wanted to get a small loan to keep my good credit score active. The loan was for only $8000.00. Mike Reese went ahead and requested a loan with FOUR different loan companies. BOB JOHNSON CHRYSLER, CANANDAIGUA NATIONAL, ESL FEDERAL CREDIT and ALLY FINANCIAL. BOB JOHNSON CHRYSLER did not approve the loan on the grounds that they do not give loans on the type of vehicle that I was purchasing! Obviously, Mike Reese does not know how to do his job, and doesn't care what effect his actions have on potential buyers! When I asked why did he run four loan requests. I was told only one would be a hard inquiry and the other three would be soft and not have any effect on my credit score. This was a lie and his actions resulted in four hard inquiries and lowered my score a lot. And then to make matters even worst he placed my loan with ALLY FINANCIAL, which had the highest interest rate of all the other loan companies. That was a total misuse of my trust and shows NO appreciation for customer purchases. So, it is obvious that he is NOT an honest person and does not care about a buyer's finances. If you are going to purchase a vehicle at this dealership you will want to obtain your own loan and NOT trust that Mike Reese would be a help to you or your family's needs. Other than that, sales and service dept were great! David W

So..... 2nd time something went missing from my car during a service call. Also, have issue with…read morethings not put back as they were. Took my car in for oil change, regular maintenance, etc. Tech had to replace the SD card and something that was behind the glove compartment. In the pocket where the SD card is I have/had a couple pens, a little notebook, couple papers, small lotion and lip gloss. In the arm rest I had my phone charger. Attached and kinda glued to the inside of the glove compartment was my trash bag. Tech removed the charger and it ended up on the passenger floor. The trash bag was torn/removed from the glove compartment and left like that. He removed everything from the SD card spot and put everything back except the lip gloss, which is nowhere to be found. So this is the 2nd time an item went missing from my car during a service call. A big gripe: why don't they put things back the way they were after pulling things apart? It's not hard to put the charger back where it was, put the trash bag back on the glove compartment door like it was, and put everything back in the SD card spot. Why do they pull things apart and just leave them like that? Again, it's not the missing lip gloss (which was new and I paid $6 for) which is the main reason for this post - it's the principle. Once more, an item is missing from my car. Thought I would be a customer for life, and indicated that to them, as they treated me great when I bought the vehicle in 2024. Apparently the techs, though, are different. Last year an item got stolen - yes, stolen. It wasn't "misplaced" or "it just disappeared" as they indicated. "Misplaced" means it's somewhere" to be found. And nothing just "disappears" without it being taken. And this year another item isn't able to be found. I'm sure the tech had no use for lip gloss and I'm not saying he took it, but where did it go? Searched the car - every crack and crevice - and it's not there. $6 is a ridiculous price to pay for lip gloss anyway, but such is the economy today, so having to spend another $6 to replace it is just aggravating. Plus, whatever was done to fix that SD card issue wasn't fixed. So now I have to take it back again to hopefully get it fixed. Don't they test this stuff to make sure it's actually fixed???
