Fresh hot pizza it was Delicious. The searing is limited but we found a spot to enjoy our slices .
We had went to get a quick bite to eat and this ended up being one of my favorite pizza places in Soho! The service was quick and the vibe of the restaurant is so cool! The workers were super sweet and helpful as well! I genuinely enjoyed my pizza and my garlic knots, 100% will be back!!
Chain pizza spot with multiple locations in NYC. This SoHo location has a bathroom, which is a huge plus. I enjoyed their square slice, pretty solid and exactly as you expect. The bottom wasn't super crispy but it was a nice bite for a granny style pie.
Really impressed with the mushroom lemon white wine pizza slice. It came out piping out with perfect crispy crust. Enjoyed the unique flavors and creamy cheesy texture. Memorable for sure.
This is one of the piece of spots I saw on TikTok and you know I had to try it and get some typical New York pizza. I ended up getting two slices just because I was that hungry and we've been doing so much walking that even if you get full, you easily will walk it off within the next hour because New York is so big and a lot of people walk everywhere. The pizza itself is some of the best I've had in New York and even though the restaurant is small, there are some tables outside in a few places inside to eat your food at it definitely is more over to go spot, but I will for sure eat them again if ever in the area.
We had a spontaneous overnight lay over in New York so we made the most of it and grabbed some pizza and this place was so good!! The employees were super nice and let us sit for a little longer even though they closed and the pizza was BOMB we ate everything. Definitely coming back when I take a trip to New York soon!
Different location on Mulberry but same ambiance and again same great pizza by the slice with decent prices. 2 cheese, 1 vodka sauce and 1 cream spinach. We also got couple of garlic knots to try and they are mouth watering. Great tasting pizza and quick service for fast food on the go!
Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted by a worker. I was in the middle of giving him my order til he took a phone call right in front of me. Another worker then got my attention and took my order and the pizza was hot and ready. I sat at the counter and enjoyed my food although no additional spices or pepper shakers were to be seen. The pizza was definitely hot and good. Unfortunately i spent $4 on an Arizona can but TOTALLY worth coming in for a bite and bringing your own drinks.
One of the main reasons I like to visit this establishment is because they always have pop-ups with other brands to promote products. This past week they had a pop-up with a Korean skincare brand. I ordered garlic knots to go. This order also came with free Korean skincare with purchase. I am such a fan of garlic knots but I need to dock one star for this. The garlic knots were clearly burnt. I feel like this is not part of their routine to have so many customers, leading to little mistakes like this. I've also had their pizza slices in the past. The slice is usually stale, with no crunch. In terms of ambience, there are always seems to be a crowd. Customers might expect a wait to get into the shop and order. Next time I'm in the area I might want to try a specialty pizza slice.
this pizza was so delicious i could eat a whole pie to myself. nice thin crust, crispy and not stingy with the pepperoni ! will be back for sure .
Great place to grab a quick slice (or multiple slices). There is a seating area. Be warned, there is no bathroom available for customer use, so if cheese doesn't agree with you, remember there's no bathroom here before you visit. Depending on how high your stomach capacity is, the portion size is either amazing or deplorable. One slice is pretty filling for me, personally, and I will not make the mistake of ordering two again! On the bright side, thank you Upside Pizza for indirectly introducing me to new friends (I did not want to commute home holding pizza, and gave the extra slice to a friendly group of other twentysomethings).
love the spicy vodka pizza! and also the garlic bread is so good. i like they will heat it up again. it's good for cheap dinner option. vibe is very very casual

Went here after watching a Women's Volleyball match at Columbia University. Go Lions! The pizza was so good! Large crispy thin crust, robust tomato sauce, and fresh mozzarella cheese. Pizza always comes out nice and hot! Their pepperoni is a stand out but, the mushroom was also pretty good. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area. It gets pretty crowded but, there is an outside eating area, a plus if you like to people watch the streets of NYC! read more
Upside Pizza is a local chain with multiple locations across NYC. We stopped by the SOHO location to grab a slice. Compared to other popular pizza spots in the area with insane lines stretching out the door, the short and quick moving line here was definitely a plus. Bonus point for having plenty of indoor seating and a restroom. We ordered a square pepperoni slice. The sauce was solid, but the bottom could be crispier. The dough also had a noticeable sourdough flavor. There's nothing wrong with sourdough, but it wasn't what I expected for a granny slice, so the flavor didn't quite work for me. Maybe another slice would work? read more

Of course we had to get a classic New York pizza on our trip and this place did not disappoint. On a bustling street in lower manhattan, this place gave me the chaotic and hectic New York pizza experience I was looking for. I got the spinach cream pizza and tavern style pepperoni and both were amazing. Cooked to perfection and had all the toppings I loved. The workers gave crazy attitude and were pretty mean but I guess that's part of the charm too? read more
Visited this NoLIta pizzeria location's reincarnation as Upside Pizza for the first time, noting the short line out the door, its recent hype, and my memories of slices here as (if I recall correctly) Pomodoro. My experience with my plain cheese slice: 1) Ordering seemed slower leaving a lot of time between customers. Plus once my slice appeared, the person at the register seemed challenged, taking maybe 4-5 minutes working through difficulties with the system's menu entering the prior customer's order for their slices. (Way too long waiting to pay, while my pizza was losing its heat!) 2) While a good crust and sauce, absolutely not a fan of whatever cheese they used! Not just the taste, the cheese created a lot of grease that dripped off the top of the slice. (See pic showing the gross, excess grease coating the cheese! Beware! It dripped onto my shirt!) Made me knock it down to 4 Stars! 3) The annoyingly loud music during the wait and quick dining time didn't add to the atmosphere! The frenetic tunes just made me consider getting far away from there as possible! That being said, Upside Pizza is the best option, as far as I can tell for the time being, in this neighborhood. Regardless, find it a little overhyped. If the line is too long and you have the time, head to better 5 Star New York slice options! read more

I've tried most of the spots were deemed the best slices in Manhattan according to popular opinion, and I'd say Upside is one of my favs so far. Everyone's perfect slice is different but I just liked the flavor of the mushroom pizza (a nice lemony zest), and the crust is thin and crispy. read more
Had the pleasure of trying a number of slices here, and they were all winners. Loved the cheese and mushroom ones in particular. The team is super nice, and moves quickly. You can usually find a seat in the shop or outside. A great bonus is that they have an associated soft serve ice cream shop attached (Softside). I am still thinking about the Pistachio soft serve with sprinkles I tried there - highly recommend! read more

Whenever I come to New York, I love the white pizza. This is a new place. I decided to try. I tried the Cacio e Pepe and the spinach mozzarella. Both were so delicious. I would definitely recommend and try it again. read more
Came here for a quick bite and the pizza wasn't bad. There were only three options when I went, which was a shame. But, I got two slices and their garlic bread. They warmed it up so it was crispy on the bottom (but I wish they left it to warm up a bit more as the top wasn't that hot). Good pizza, a bit on the pricier side, but not bad. Service was nice. read more
Visiting NY & stumbled upon Upside while walking through Little Italy! The place was BUSY, but service was fast & efficient! I ordered a cheese & Pepperoni slice, the guys warmed it up in the oven & before it was time to pay, my pizza was piping hot & ready to eat! Seating is limited, but in a way, encourages community. I nice guy sat at our table with us & we conversed! No complaints at all!! Food, outstanding, service, outstanding & the vibes, busy but good!!! They're also an award winning pizza spot & rightfully so!!! read more
Place is clean and the workers are friendly but I found the actual pizza to be weak. I got a vodka slice and honestly just tasted like a regular cheese slice. I guess I would go here for cheese but anything else just doesn't cut it. read more

The dough on this pizza deserves five out of five stars. It's so crunchy and delicious and the sourdough flavour really comes through. I think the styling and decor inside is nice and it feels really peaceful, especially on a chaotic hot day after you've walked through chaotic Union Square. My plain slice was excellent. I have no negative feedback for it whatsoever. It was very yummy and it was so good compared to the other slices I tried that I wished I gotten only plain slices. The cacio e pepe slice was simply inaccurate. That dish when made as a pasta stands out because of the sharpness of the pecorino romano and the toasted black pepper. The pizza slice is too subtle in its flavours, so it doesn't feel similar. I had a perfect cacio e pepe slice a little Neapolitan-family owned pizzeria in Rome and it was tremendously delicious. It became my benchmark, so while it may not be a fair, the Upside slice tasted bland in comparison. The other non-tomato slice I had was with white wine and mushrooms and it simply was not memorable at all. But the plain slice was so absolutely perfect, even with nothing else on it. They had to have put a little bit of love in that one. It was so good that I was doing a double take to see if there were more available in case I wanted to order some. That one slice would keep me going back to chaotic Union Square so that I can get this pizza again. read more
What better way to celebrate pi day than with some pizza! Heard great things about Upside Pizza so I decided to try. Of course, the way to judge a pizza parlor is with their plain cheese slice. A little on the smaller side when compared to other pizza places I've been to. Taste-wise, it's not my favorite pizza... but it's good! This place is definitely for CRUNCHY crust lovers. There is zero flop to the pizza. Also for lovers of pizza on the saltier side (I prefer my sauce a little on the sweeter side). The cheese is also a little more on the charred side. Crust is sourdough so it's just like sourdough bread. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. I wish the tables got more of a wipe-down between customers. All in all, solid slice at $4. My preferences are just a little different when it comes to pizza, is all! read more
After a perfume event over the weekend, Michael and I went to have pizza at Upside Pizza. We got a table which was a nice surprise. He got two slices which he found greasy and mopped it with a napkin. It was his first time here. I chose a plain slice with two garlic knots. I am always in search of garlicky soft and chewy pizza knots. I gave a knot to Michael. I found both my choices tasty and I finished it all. There is a restroom here but it needed cleaning and tissue paper. Several customers started arriving and it's good that there is outdoor seating. We weren't hurried off so we enjoyed chatting. The Upside Team were efficient and pleasant. read more
The best pizza spot I've found in NY so far! It's crispy at the bottom and has the best crust! The crust kind of tastes like a delicious pie crust! I ordered a bunch of flavors but my favorite was the Sausage and pickles peppers. The flavor was incredible and the peppers really added a nice spice to the pizza. read more
It was quick service. I didn't like my pizza very much though, mushroom seemed a bit old. It was unbearable greasy. My girlfriend didn't like her cheese pizza either. What saved them is they at least happen to have way more seating options (although still very limited). I also gave them another point for having coke in a glass bottle - which we all know makes it 10 times better. In all - I would AVOID getting pizza here. Definitely better places to try read more

My first time here and I have passed by it alot. For some reason I was in the mood for pizza and it was across from the store I was at. I walk into this place and I wish you could smell it from this review. Smelled like fresh Pizza it really did smell soo good. They have indoor and some outdoor tables. There was great music being played here as well. I got a regular pepperoni slice. It was a bit smaller than I thought but it packed alot of flavor into it! Staff was nice. I would come here again and try other types of slices as well. read more
