This UPS Shipping Center is really not a good place to handle your delivered products. I have extreme difficulty connecting with them and spent many hours tracking my package! Extreme exhaustion, frustration and upset drained my lifeforce dealing to find my package! UPS is not a good company! Never use them! I have not gotten my package yet! The woman working the counter was most unpleasant and unhelpful. I needed help returning a package and she said that they don't assist. I just had questions about how to adhere label and seal package. She looked and acted as though I was holding a cat turd under her nose. This was February 11 2020 in the afternoon. So I ended up taking my package to the VERY helpful UPS store on Swannanoa river rd. Save yourself the hassle and go anywhere but to this UPS location. read more

I ordered some items from Amazon and according to tracking info, they arrived at the warehouse here on Saturday, the 15th. All my stuff has remained there since then. Sure, we had a snow on Sunday, but our local roads were clear by Tuesday. Every day since then I get a text saying out for delivery, and then at the end of the day, an exception notices that it's delayed. This has been going on all week. They use the weather as an excuse to fail in delivering packages. Meanwhile, I see UPS trucks in the local shopping center ONE MILE from here, delivering packages. This is ridiculous. I've waited 8 days for my packages and they will not deliver them. I've gone as star as contacting companies and asking them to boycott UPS, and that I won't order from them anymore if they use them. I had to tell Amazon to cancel my orders because I've got hundreds of dollars tied up in merchandise I can't get. At home, the postal service, FedEx, and Amazon delivery drivers have been bringing parcels all week, but UPS doesn't want to do their job. I recently moved from NY to NC. I've had to use UPS for deliveries I made online and also for the shipment of my belongings from home. Today, for the THIRD time, my package arrived broken! And, this one was a gift from a friend. They disregarded the words FRAGILE I wrote all over one box which contained a family heirloom from my grandmother. It's from the 1920's-30's and is irreplaceable. I wrapped it in bubble wrap, clothing & skeins of yarn, marked the box & when I opened it up it was in thousands of shards! I even cut myself on a piece and have animals but luckily they didn't get hurt. The next day my I-Pod Tower was not only shipped from UPS...they wrapped and packed it...it arrived destroyed! The whole inside speakers, wires and brackets were in pieces and nothing could put it back together. Luckily those 2 were insured so I'm hoping that one day before I DIE we see the reimbursement promised. I have photos of ALL the damages, too. Shame on you! You treat other peoples' possessions as if they were footballs, tossing and kicking them around and disregarding the labels that clearly say FRAGILE. I will NEVER EVER use this company again unless what I purchase CAN'T be destroyed by the ineptitude of the workers at the stations, period. You are BROWN. I work at a cross-dock for an LTL and work afternoons into the evenings. I called the 800-number to request morning delivery and was told their routes are fixed and cannot be changed. So I asked for pickup. She checked, and it cannot be scheduled for pickup. She said I would have to call back on the morning of the delivery -- when it might already be out for shipment. This is a bass guitar, and I have no porch on the front but one on the rear, where at least I could request delivery until I arrive home. I did tell her that if it is left at the front porch and gets wet in the rain while I am at work and is damaged, I will be coming to UPS for damages. read more

I paid cash for a turbocharged Hitachi excavator muffler and was assured by the seller in NY that the muffler would be delivered here in Asheville, yesterday, Wednesday, 7-18-2018. It did not arrive and the tracking numbers showed it was first delivered to Hickory, NC and is still somewhere in transit. UPS, with its devil-may-care attitude has done this shabby dealing with us before, and I am sick of them. Is anyone aware of the huge cost of heavy equipment like an excavator being down? We can't operate it because the exhaust gases would get sucked into the intake and ruin the big diesel engine. Angry, angry, angry. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SHIPPING COMPANY!! This whole division needs to be fired! Two weeks ago I received a package and they LEFT IT on the cluster box! Not in it! ON IT! They just put it there and left it. Thankfully, I got that package! Today I was supposed to get a package delivered from Amazon. Again they must've left it on the cluster box, but this time... It wasn't there! I called UPS and the center told me I would be getting a call from this division. I got a call. The guy sounded either drunk or inept. He told me that "You know... It's the holidays. You know how it is." Yes, I know the holidays can be stressful, but what I also know is that you can't use the holidays as an excuse for just leaving packages wherever you feel like it! The guy was as helpful as a sack of rocks. I have never had this type of service from UPS before. I am completely shocked and disgusted. Never again if I can help it will I use UPS. This is just above and beyond inept and completely outrageous behavior. Yes, I realize I live on a mountain, but UPS never had problems with delivering before this year. Obviously the new driver for the route is some type of green because who would leave packages just sitting out where anyone can take them?! At least take them to the UPS store down the street and tell me to come pick them up from there. That would be the better option! read more

Burnsville deliveries are horrible!! I have called numberous times asked that our packages be left on the covered front porch. They throw them out in the yard coming up the driveway, leaving in the driveway at the basement and today I come home from work in the pouring rain and I have a box with furniture and a box with lamp shades and an electric can opener sitting on the back porch which is not covered. Three weeks ago two packages were supposed to be delivered and I got one. No one will do anything about it. read more

My online package tracking showed my order was delivered....signed by a person named Bartlett (I was home at the supposed delivery time and no one named Bartlett is in my neighborhood). Interestingly, the automated phone tracking stated that my order was indeterminately delayed due to extreme weather....there has been none in the US. Attempting to reach a person through the phone system is infuriating - over and over the recording wouldn't give me the option to speak with a person. With persistence I was connected with the human line. Finally after an "estimated 8 minute hold wait time" that actually was 16 minutes the agent was polite and helpful.....and verified that she saw the delivery notice signed by "Bartlett" but also had a notice that the package was being held at the local UPS office....she sent an internal message to the local office.....I await their call back. (of course no local number is available to directly call them) UPS needs to up its customer service representative access......we see by the reviews there is a BIG problem with their interactions with the public. read more

You ALWAYS hand deliver our packages to our door most others leave our packages down stairs ( I don't mind getting them ) but you're so thoughtful as usually they are large boxes of diapers ! Multiple times they have not delivered to my HOUSE because they say "The business is closed" and have delayed my packaged arriving from Wednesday to a Monday!! When we called the first time they said there was a new person in distribution and they're not sure what happened so we picked it up. Now it has happened again and I need my package. twice in one week my packages have been deemed undeliverable because of { incorrect address } I have had many packages delivered to this address in the past. I also put the address into google maps and it gave precise directions to the address. My phone number is attached also but never received a call. I tracked one back to the shipping department and picked it up there at which time I asked what the problem was and was told it was a new driver who probably didn't know where he was. The second package this week was sent back to sender without a call or any notice. Also has my phone number attached. In looking at the shipping and transit times I noticed the driver always makes it back to the hub in time to unload all undelivered items and head home by 5pm. This place is ridiculous!!!! Purchased a product and seller said he only uses ups to deliver, and up charged me 40 dollars. Gave me a tracking number, and delivery date. I received email saying my package would be delivered by the end of the day... WHATEVER THAT MEANS... some dumb old me stays up to 10 pm waiting on this package... that never showed up. 9 am in the morning I received emails again stating package would be delivered by end of the day... well guess what, by 4pm no package. I contacted ups on 1800 number and spoke with three different individuals.. two being supervisors. Needless to say the outcome was this they said weather delayed delivery... I questioned this being that it was 61 degrees and other ups were delivering packages to community I live in. So after doing a little research myself on my laptop while on the phone it showed center was actually closed and the reps I was talking to was in Panama City Panama ... smh smh. So I'm then told I would receive package the following Monday. Well Monday shows up as of 2pm no package...so I contact ups again... I'm now told that there's no address for my package. So first it was a weather issue, then an emergency, now no address...? Why not just say that when I first contacted you?! So now I'm told I most wait for a phone call... to go and pick my package up myself even though I paid an extra 40 dollars for their delivery service. Straight crooks!! Oh they have to also find package and process.. even though they already supposedly tried to deliver it @ 9:45 am today. 5 days later. They can't seem to find my address suddenly even though they have been delivering to me since I moved in 9 years ago. Beyond frustrated!

If I could give you a 0 star I would. I ordered a tablet and it was left at the bottom of my long driveway, leaned against a post and shoved back in some honeysuckle, beside a commercial service garage. It was left at 7:55 pm and therefore left out all night and it has been pouring the rain since midnight. I had no way of knowing where it was. Needless to say, I am not opening the package, they are having to come pick it up and I am having to reorder this item. UPS is overpaid for their delivery personnel. They do not care about the packages. read more

If I could give negative stars for this review, I would do so. Last week I paid UPS a $5 charge to change the date of my delivery to coincide with a day I could be home to sign for it. I received both email and text notifications that the package was en-route, but it was never delivered. Today I received a notice saying I would need to be home all day to sign for the package which could not be guaranteed to arrive any closer than an 8:00am - 8:00pm window, and when I complained, the local UPS office arranged to have it delivered to the UPS Store on Merrimon Ave which is only 5 minutes from my home. When I went to pick up the package, the UPS Store insisted on charging me another $5 pickup fee, claiming they weren't part of the same company that had already charged me $5 to drop it off at their store. I will never again knowingly use UPS or this store, and I will warn all my friends of my experience. read more
