    My experience with UPS and more specifically the UPS Sparks facility: I purchased an oxygen machine for my mother that shipped via UPS from Englewood, Colorado to Reno, Nevada. The package was scanned as being shipped on the 8th of March. On March 9th it made it's first stop in Utah where the status was immediately updated to "Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery." but the weather didn't appear to actually have caused any real delay because it shipped from Utah that very same day and arrived in Sparks, NV on Friday, March 10th at 5:52 AM. After arriving to the Sparks UPS facility there was no attempt of delivery, nothing happened with the package, it just sat there in the facility all day Friday and throughout the weekend until Monday March 13th at 10AM when the status of the package was finally updated to "Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery." Say what??? Apparently to someone at the Sparks UPS facility a temperature of 55° and sunshine without a drop of rain or snow constitutes "severe weather". Now I don't know about the weather in Utah but I'm starting to suspect a pattern of "weather delay" being the go to status for all UPS packages, at all UPS locations. As a side note, the weather in Sparks for Friday thru Sunday was periods of light to moderate rain and as I stated earlier, the weather on Monday, March 13th in Sparks was a beautiful sunny day with a high temp of 55° accompanied by a light breeze throughout the day and not a single drop of rain or snow, but I digress. On Monday morning at 8 AM I decide to call the facility because I wanted to arrange to pick up the package as I was getting anxious with the multiple "delays" and because at that point I had read numerous online customer complaints that alleged potential theft by UPS drivers and employees within the Sparks UPS facility, not to mention the countless complaints of delayed or non-delivered packages. Eventually I had to give up on the idea of picking it up because I was unable to change the delivery option, I was unable to speak to an actual person and I was hung-up on repeatedly. Currently it is Tuesday, March 14 at 3 PM and the status of my package is "out for delivery by 7 PM". (Fingers Crossed) I have had crappy experience with UPS for Amazon and other online retailer orders but because of this experience specifically, I must say, that UPS should not be used for the shipment of anything expensive or important, and especially if time is of the essence.

    300 Feet from the door and the UPS truck driving away...

    Did it again.. UPS substitute drivers - just plain awful. This package of medicine in dry ice for one day air shipment and special handling was dropped in the weeds 300 feet from my front door. UPS simply does not care if this medicine gets spoiled or not and they further don't care how the package is marked for delivery. See pic attached of the UPS truck driving away while I scream at her. That white box on the ground is what she called a "delivery". Yes, I waited for her this time because it happens everytime so I knew exactly what she was going to do. Complaining to UPS website is a waste of time as they don't care either. The UPS 888 number is a joke and UPS customer service is non existent. OBTW...My regular UPS driver is the picture of perfect performance. He has never dropped the package in the weeds. He usually hands it to me at the front door.These substitute drivers should be working at McDonalds.

    I had package diverted from my home address to this facility to ensure its arrival was ok. I received an email that it had been received and I headed over after work. I missed the original turn but turned right after and was able to wander through a few parking lots and find it. I parked right at the door and was only delayed by a few minutes waiting for a customer service rep. They recognized the address right away and headed to the back to get my package. All I needed was to show my ID and autograph the electronic signature pad and the package was mine. Perfect and easy.

    This is how my package looked inside my envelope when I took it out. It was torn up and thrown back in.

    I'm so glad I discovered Sindex and that I get to be the first to review on Yelp so others can do…read morethe same. Reasons I liked my experience with Sindex are many, but it started with the fact they're supporters of Northern Nevada Pride. I am not sure if this is an LGBTQ+ owned business or an ally, but it doesn't matter because either way they align with my principles and beliefs, and I'm happy to show my support in turn. I needed a large banner, 12x3, for our presence at the Parade and Festival, and they were so friendly and speedy with everything. They quickly quoted, rapidly completed, and efficiently communicated everything with me along the way. When it comes to printing, everyone wants to know about pricing, and I can only share my own experience. Sindex was offering fellow Pride supporters a discount that put the price of their work on par with another local printer I quoted for this project. That said, had it not been for the discount, the cost here would've been double the other quote, and that would make sending the job here tough in the future. There are often many reasons pricing is higher on certain jobs, and it's typically due to the equipment they have in house, so I'm assuming that's what happened here. When that's the case, it just means the printer may not have what's necessary to be competitive on that type of work, but they could still be great for other work. I know I'll be trying them again soon. Thanks Sindex!
