This UPS center is near the MCO airport. It's the place where all the UPS items go before they are 'out for delivery.' Though it's not anyone's fault but my own, I arrived at a time the office is closed. I understand the reasoning for the hours open/closed, and I think FedEx has similar hours at their main center near MCO, too. The jets and 18-wheelers have to come to the processing center, and it's just not a '9am-5pm' sort of process. I was only 30 minutes early to pick up my packages, so I just hung out in my car and waited. I actually appreciated the fact that a security officer approached my car and sort of questioned me as to why I was there in my car. That kind of thing makes me actually feel safer. He was a pretty nice guy and told me it was only another 15 minutes to wait. Once the customer center opened at 4pm, I entered and explained I had my packages delivered at the center as I knew I would be out of town. The service representative seemed a little puzzled, asked for my tracking numbers and fetched my packages. Service? Well, not awful, but less than friendly, except toward other customers that they seemed to know and recognize with friendly greetings. How does that make others that are not 'regulars' feel? Well, insignificant comes to mind. Actually, I felt that I was more or less a nuisance to the staff. I am in the customer service industry and there is no way I would ever make a person feel....well, invisible comes to mind, too. Even customers I see again and again over time, sure, I will recognize them with 'good to see you,' etc, but the other customers I make feel equally VALUED. Will I return? Well, I will probably have no choice, and in the meantime I hope this facility does something to help employees understand what customer SERVICE truly means. read more

Cycle of crazy, Broken systems, and communications. Packages are an important part of my life. I use parcel track app to track packages from multiple carriers. Noticed UPS package was out for delivery but was not completed. Called UPS. Asked what happened. No apartment number. Gave them my apartment number, they agreed to send out again. Two days later. Received a call from UPS. I was told apartment number was added to my package. Maybe the package is in the pod and not on the truck but still should be able to get the package. The next day. Checked ParcelTrack again. No change in package status. Called UPS. No apartment number. Told him since the apartment number fails to be able to be added to this package why don't I just come and pick it up myself. Deal. Two more days later. With everything going on in the world today, we were worried that we may not receive a necessary order/delivery. I called the 1-800 # listed on the webpage and it was answered almost immediately. The representative patched me through directly to the Dispatch at the Orlando location. Trish was outstanding, she helped in setting up a delivery time window and was pleasant in the entire process, her smile went through the phone. Making sure we had our order, simply doing her job, but to me it was truly going above and beyond with the number of calls I am sure they are bombarded with at this difficult time. Ignorance is not an excuse....... At least it shouldn't be. This UPS hub is just the cherry on the crapcake that is UPS. Needed to schedule a call order for a package at a correctional facility, A process that has been implemented and executed without trouble for years. If your loved one is incarcerated and there belongings need to be sent home, you ask for a call order, the UPS man picks up your package and your billed for the delivery upon arrival. My friend unfortunately got arrested on vacation with a backpack containing my birth certificate and passport, so the contents were important and the pickup was time sensitive. So I call customer service (which of course isn't located in the US) today to ask for one and I'm told they no longer do call orders and that its called an RS3 return now. So I asks on set one up and I'm told they can't over the phone and that I have to go to a UPS store to have a RS3 processed. That was the first lie. Left work and went to a UPS store only for them to tell me that they aren't even connected to UPS and that I would probably have to go to a hub. I call customer service and I'm immediately told that I can't do it over the phone or in store. What I would have to do is set up and account. Another transfer and 45 min of wasted effort later, after explaining the exact situation to the account department rep, and I have an account which "should work." That was lie number two. I go online and it won't let me fill out the online form. So I call customer service AGAIN and ask to speak with a manager, which only took 30 min of hold time. Her name was Stephanie or Firepants MCLiarface I don't remember, but she told me that the person who set up my account didn't set me up with the right one for that label......... Even though I told the lady the exact reason for setting up the account. So to remedy the situation she "changes my account" (lie) and says I need to go into the Hub and talk to the people there. Supposedly they would be able to fill out the label, send it electronically to the appropriate dispatch center and all would be well. (Lie) Here's where this dump heap of a Hub comes into play. I walk into this hub an hour before close and it's a freakin ghost town. There are two people "running" the operation but all they are capable of doing is taking in packages that are ready to ship, and reading names to verify pickups. Not a single person here has any idea what they are doing except for what falls easily within their lane. I asked the one sassy Latina lady to set up a RS3 and she had no idea what it was. She then told me "I don't think we do that." I asked for a manager and she leaves. She comes back, without a manager and says that both the security officer (whom I not sure why he's included) and her manager have never even heard of an RS3. Now y'all this is where I broke. I replied, "so ignorance is your excuse?" It's at this point she gets extremely offended by the word ignorance and even though I didn't call her specifically ignorant she starts yelling at me telling me there's nothing more she can do and to please leave. She even says to me, "we're not ignorant we just don't know what you're talking about........" THATS THE F*CKING DEFINITION OF IGNORANCE!!!!!! It's at this point I leave and spend the next 2 HOURS on the phone with customer service AGAIN only to have the manager in the same position as Stephanie Liarface set up the whole thing from his computer with special instructions sent to the facility the driver and me for every step........ 7 hours of Hell and the task could have been accomplished with the first call. Where to start.....UPS Lost the package first time, sender resent........another package. The sender called asking where the package was, they refused to talk to the sender told her "have the receiver call to get the info"?? WHY sender is who paid for the shipment, Im the one waiting on the package. OK so I called and spoke to Max, Russell, Jasmine on MON,TUES, WED... all told me the package is at the facility. Why has it not been delivered?? They need to verify my address... ok told them my address, the same as on the box, (in a residential area in Doctor Phillips..(no gate, no apartment complex, pretty simple address) Customer Service said they will deliver the package in the morning, and call you..... 3 separate customer service agents with the same verbiage and then told me if I wanted it I could come pick it up???? The Orlando facility made the poor decision to close operations and not make deliveries Friday/Saturday, Sept. 8th and 9th. As a result, many customers who were counting on their packages ahead of Hurricane Irma are now left stranded. After many attempts to call UPS customer service, nothing can be done. I am using Fed-Ex from here on out. UPS is the worst. Expensive important package being treated garbage. Patronizing, nonchalant attitudes with everyone I spoke with. No updates via email or text even though I signed up for both, even after a failed "delivery attempt" (there was someone at the house waiting for the driver and they swear no door bell was rung, we have a basset hound that barks at everything). I left a phone number to call in delivery instructions when they arrived and of course, no call. Apparently drivers don't have phones or computers "for safety reasons" which seems absurd. Inconvenient 4-hour delivery window during work hours on Weekdays for packages that require signature. No method to inform when driver is nearby or even at the house. They charge extra for a 2-hour delivery slot, which is still terrible. Take a clue from other companies that will actually credit your account if they don't show up on time and pride themselves on small delivery windows (it IS totally possible). The best thing yet is I gave up and said I will just pick it up,but of course they don't know when the driver will be back. They just called me at 5pm and said the driver will be back at 7:30pm and they are open until 8pm. I work, I have a life, this place is a half hour away from my job which I leave at 5:30pm and an hour away from my home. I said that doesn't work for me and they said well I can come in tomorrow. I now have to spend my lunch hour tomorrow wasting gas and tolls to get the package that should have been delivered today. Not one apology or attempt to make the situation better. All I wanted was them to tell me when they were at my house. At the very least swing back around as I called them 10 minutes after the 1st attempt. Awful customer service. read more

I work for this company and it pains me to say this...but every time I have to go to customer counter it's the same grueling experience. Not enough staff to handle the customers. It's very slow. Customers are always having trouble finding where to drop off packages. Customer Counter is literally hidden in the back of the building. I can not tell you how many times I have been stopped when walking through the employee parking lot and asked "Where the heck do I drop off my package?" Customers also accidentally try to drop off where the Brown trucks and Semi's enter at security check point. It is VERY confusing for people who have never been there before. If there's a Ups store closer to you, I would suggest that over the Customer counter at the Hub. read more

When we downsized and moved closer to Disney, we lived here at our current address for two months and I had a check sent for almost 2 grand. The LAZY UPS driver brought it to a completely different building on the other side of the property to a different apartment; which when I called UPS said it was delivered. I had to knock on doors myself to find my check. Finally after 2 hours I found my check. Now my mom and I ordered two King Cakes from New Orleans, had it overnighted because it is persherable. We were told we will receive them by 3 pm on Thursday. Well at 5:43 pm we received one, the other never showed up because even though the tracking number stated it was on the truck it actually was not. We went to the wearhouse to pick it up after calling neumerous times. We were told it would be delivered first thing in the morning. It is now 5:06pm and still no second King Cake. WTF. Hidden way inback of the ups complex, inside it is industrial looking, not a customer friendly interior, grungy at best. This was the worse ups experience! It was me , my mom, my two daughters , two dogs (that bark at someone crossing the street from a mile away) and NOBODY HEARD THE UPS DELIVERY MAN AT THE DOOR!!!!! how is this possible?!!!! It is not! I drove 30 minutes down to this ups customer center to pick it up and turns out the delivery guy never gave my package to the person is charge of PROCESSING it... the package was in the building but because it has not been processed they cannot get their hands on it to give it to me. I WAS SOOOO FURIOUS!!!!! How can they screw me over two days in a row! How hard is it to knock the right way on my door so that all six of the us that were in the house can notice you! Then they dont even take the time to processssssss my package so I can pick it up! Had to wait to Monday! I go back on Monday and they tell me they can't find my package! They check the tracking system and it said its in their building but the retards can't find it anywhere!
