We moved from SoCal and I was walking my dog in the area where we purchased our home and happened to see their truck. I had an opportunity to meet Adam and Becky that day. I told them that I would be reaching out to them eventually once we got settled to get an estimate. We never once looked for another company to provide the permanent side screen with a door that provided access to our BBQ on our back patio and a very large retractable solar shade - which we love. The solar shade is amazing when the east morning sun shines, it blocks the sun and keeps our home cooler and at night when it's cool, the shade is drawn and it keeps our large patio very warm. Also, the solar shade withstands a pretty good velocity of wind, but a person has to use common sense on very windy conditions. This is a company that I would recommend over and over again. You can't go wrong with Adam and Becky. Thank you both, you are indeed the best!

Everything that could go wrong did. Brandon used the cheapest labor he could find, used the cheapest products and refused to finish the work for promises he made in writing. We had leaks where walls met floors and the poorly installed windows leaked, left gaps large enough that mice and a couple tarantulas came in. Thankfully those eventually were resolved, all except for a small cracked glass on one of the windows, he passed that cost on to us. The tongue and groove ceilings are still not finished. They used wet wood, installed it and then tried to stain which was a disaster with the incompetent painter and stain they used. He promised last year to come out to take care of the pine wood color exposed through the multiple layers of dark stain applications to hide the flaws. We've attempted several times to contact him however he ignores all communications. And going to his business address turns up what appears to be an unoccupied suite.

The install was a month ago, but I wanted to use it enough before posting a review. Ours was nearly as wide as they will do. At first it seemed kind of clunky rolling it up and down. I figured that was due to the weight of the material. I discovered that putting a bit of heavy grease on the hook used to crank it up and down made a huge difference. So be sure to do that. The install was as I specified, but note that there may be a larger gap than you might expect. There is almost 4" of space between each end of our shade with the adjoining wall. This is not an issue for us since the shade is 188" long. You may want a different installation scheme to avoid that gap. See attached photo showing this.

A few weeks later we went to Sherwin Williams paint store to look for stain for our exterior log and ran into Robert. We told him we were on a tight budget and could not afford a professional at this time for the interior painting. Robert said "no problem just let us know if you need anything" and then gave us about 20 minutes of free advice to help us pick out the right product to do our outside log cabin. The product he recommend worked out perfect. We were very appreciative that Robert had a great attitude and took the time to help us with advice for our very important project of protecting our exterior log. So many contractors are in such a hurry and only care about money. I was very refreshing for Robert to treat us in such a nice manner. We highly recommend Peak Painting.

I called and spoke with Zack (didn't mention our previous interaction at another property) and we made an appointment and he showed up when he said he would - a good start considering previous experience. He then advised me that he didn't have material on his truck for the repair, but would have the screens ready later in the week by Friday. Friday morning comes and I've not heard anything from Zack. Around 1p I called The Mobile Screen Shop and left a message asking about the screens and for a call back. Zack returned my call about an hour later, apologizing for not being in touch - I kind of felt (based on what he said) that my screens were forgotten about, but said Steve would be by my house later with them. Steve did in fact show up as promised with the screens - all good. In the end, it all worked out, yet I still can't help but feel like this is a side gig for these folks or something? I feel like if I hadn't called to follow up yesterday afternoon I would still be without my screens. Lastly, I should add that Zack called me after my initial review a year ago and apologized for the misunderstanding which is why I decided to give them another chance this last time.
