If you have any self respect you will not get your hair cut here. Since most of the reputable Barbers in this area have retired, Uppercuts Barbershop, LLC has become one of the only barbers left in town. While this may seem like an enviable position to be in, it has left the young and arrogant owner, Sam Coderre, with an over inflated ego who feels like he's doing his customers a favor when he cuts their hair. The first time I went there, I was a walk in. He told me to come back in 2 hrs. when they weren't so busy. I made an appt. and returned 2 hrs. later only to be told that I would have to wait another 1 1/2 hrs. while his "partner" cut the other 3 people that were sitting in front of me. Why then, did I make an appt.? To make matters worse, Sam Coderre was finished for the day and just hung around the shop while the 4 of us waited for one barber. The next time I made an appt. with Mr. Coderre, he told me he would not be cutting my hair today. When I questioned him as to why he said he was too busy but, would have one of his new assistants do me. When I protested that I made the appt. with him he became nasty and said; "excuse me while I roll out the red carpet for you". He then became very sarcastic and scolded me like I was a 5 year old. Here I am a 66 year old man being told off like it was my fault, as if this was the first time I ever made an appt. to have my hair cut. Needless to say, he refused to cut my hair. We exchanged "pleasantries" and I walked out never to return again. Sam Coderre needs to learn a lot about how to treat people. read more
