Throughout the years I've tried everything from weight training to cycling to yoga and several types of martial arts. I can say that very few workout hit your body so completely like a good session of kettlebell training at Elevate. In one short hour you will get a great workout and walk away fully satisfied. Sure, you will be sore the next day...but no pain, no gain..right? The owner of Elevate and also head trainer Brent is superb at what he does. Whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned athelete, he always give you suggestions and tips that cater to your specific needs. And since classes are typically small (from 6-10 people), you will get plenty of attention and help when you need it. I will not go into details of what we do in class. Emma's reviews already covered that pretty throughly. What's more important is that IT WORKS! For the past 6 months I've been with Elevate, I've gained lean muscle mass, lost fatty weight, and developed core strength (and when your core is strong, EVERYTHING ELSE is strong). I now live a very busy lifestyle and going to Elevate 2-3 times a week for just about an hour each time has been doing wonders to my body. Our workout regimen change on a regular basis to keep it challenging and fun. I look forward to each class and I'm very excited to what it can do to my body in the near future.

I've been attending two morning classes a week with Brent, the owner, and have already seen an improvement in my biking. Each class is different so I don't get bored and enjoy the kettle bells more than I expected. We use TRX, kettle bells, the spin bikes and do some yoga. Each time Brent makes sure my form is correct so I don't hurt myself. I enjoy the classes at Elevate and find it way easier to work out than trying to self motivate at the gym. The monthly fee is great compared to other studios in town so it makes it easier to take care of my health.

This gym is pretty basic. It has all the componenets needed for a work out with zero frills. There…read moreis a reason its so cheap, as far as the monthly fees are concerned. They don't have a separate room like most gyms have for you to go in and work out semi-private workout, they do not offer any classes and the bathrooms feel dirty. Not dirty as in, trash all over the place but dirty as in it needs to be disinfected. It would be a plus if at least one channel on the 10 TV's was for females. Its always sports, news and what looked like cop shows. Some reality , comedy or trash tv would have been great on at LEAST ONE tv, there was never anything remotely interesting (to me) on any of them and sometimes I like to zone out on a show while I'm doing cardio. It seems the rules are a little inconsistent, and are based on who's working. The third time I went to work out, I was told it's mandatory that they take my photo however the friend that I work out with was never asked to take her photo. I didn't want to take a photo on that particular day and was told that I had to if I wanted to work out. Each time we've gone back, they have never once asked her or made it clear that it's "mandatory that she has a photo on file" making me feel singled out, which I'm not cool with. As far as I know, they already had a copy of my drivers license from when I signed up so why did they need an additional photo of me? It gave me the ick so... that was the last month of membership. Parking was kind of a joke as well, depending on time of day but, most of the time I would sit around and wait for someone to leave that was parked near the front because I was weirded out parking too far away from the door (if I went to the gym solo and it was dark). About the operating hours: It would also be nice if they were 24 hours, which I believe they were previously but have since changed and are now inconveniently only open until 10 on Friday and 7 on Saturday. It seems that they would keep their open hours a lot later especially on the weekends. You get what you pay for or, in this case what you dont pay for, its CHEAP for a reason.

This mediocre gym went just now (June 2026) from "meh" to the worst in town…read more The machines have almost always been busy - especially since SO many of the members sit and sit and sit... between sets while they just stare at their f'ing phones. :-( Over the past two days they REMOVED about 1/4 to 1/2 of the cardio machines (treadmills and bikes) and about 20% of the resistance machines. WTF, Planet Sh*tness!? This is MUCH, much worse! I've been going there for 4 1/2 years, but I am cancelling my monthly payment today and never, ever going here again.

I was visiting while…read moreon vacation over the 4th of July and the entire staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. From the owners to the trainers, each came by to make sure I had what I needed and to answer any questions I had. I also had the opportunity to watch them engage with their members, which crossed the spectrum of beginners to extremely fit. In each scenario they were able to scale the exercises to the person and make it just challenging enough to get an ideal workout. Despite having every piece of equipment you could possibly need, somehow CrossFit Gold Rush is greater than the sum of its parts. It has the owners and staff to thank for that. Oh, and 2018's Fittest Woman on Earth (over 60 years old) often trains here. She is an absolute inspiration and couldn't be nicer. Cant wait to visit again soon.

Red flags!! Red flags!! Red flags!! "After a change of management"…read more My health professionals recommended I join a fitness program to overcome my PTSD, so my husband and I /working professionals/ 35+ years of age started this gym about 6 months back. I've noticed, that when others got in late for a session, they didn't join the class and worked out on their own, so the day I got in late I thought I could do the same and hurried in. I was minding my own business until I asked Cam (the trainer) a question.. and - that was it! He told me, you got in 30 min late so I won't help you which was understandable so I walked away to my corner, because I didn't want to disturb the class either. But then I saw him complaining about me to the Gym Owner "Susan" who then came up FURIOUSLY towards me and started YELLING, in the middle of the gym while the class was in progress - 'that I can't be walking in 30 min late and ask Cam (the trainer) questions ever again'.. and so on.. she went on schooling me for next 10 min and questioned me about things like - "where is my husband", why do I owe her any explanations about my personal life again? Did she want a confirmation that I was singled out so she could berate me further? I was put under so much stress and pressure by watching her monitor me so I couldn't put up the equipment right and there she started to insult me again- "You don't even know this much, you have been coming to the gym for so long you should know at least this by now... And so making further such personal attacks" No one treats their clients this way after I had already apologized to her and had requested that I can do it on my own, so please let me be. I'm still taken aback by this experience and this incident has taken a few days to process, for me to put it together, so I can share my experience with you, for you to know actually what happened with me. There is no place where one should be schooled like a child and with no dignity, especially if you are in the health industry. It's so disappointing to see an elderly woman over 60 years of age, shouldn't you be the one encouraging and not putting down a woman client? I'm confused, shouldn't you be the one acting a bit more professional being the owner? Couldn't you have taken me to the lobby to discuss this rather than create a big drama in the middle of a class and insult me? But I also learned by digging in deeper that this is a new management since Covid so the story kind of makes sense! She has created problems for us in the past about other issues as well - like before joining, she said dogs are welcome, but then later I was told by her to get special permissions from the trainer each time I want to bring my dog in the gym, and this is a SERVICE DOG for my PTSD we are talking about. Why are the clients here not treated with basic equality and basic dignity? She never tried to care or ask why I needed a dog to bring with me, but created problems so I had to avoid bringing my dog. The lady has to deal with her power trip issues and get educated about the basic mannerisms of being a gym owner. Hope, someday she'll know better and learn to maintain her cool! NO ONE is supposed to be treated this way, her actions were DEMEANING and VICIOUS towards me. I would encourage everyone who is facing this behavior to please speak up, stand up, and educate, and don't entertain this nonsense. My husband and I are people of color, and are proud to have been graduated from the Ivy League universities of Cornell and Yale respectively, and run several businesses and own properties around the world, and we have worked hard to achieve our dreams, especially in another country. I feel, the lady not acknowledging and being disrespectful towards us just shows her lack of exposure, experience, and immaturity. I'd not recommend this gym to anyone, especially to People Of Color, who are doing well for themselves, by working hard, away from their homes... I know their struggles and endeavors to thrive against all odds, do not allow discrimination, WATCH OUT for these ones!!!

Infrared and cryotherapy options. Parking always available. Staff are friendly and I like the overall promotion of a positive and Godly lifestyle. Bad: LACK OF CLIMATE CONTROL. In the summer, a majority of the rooms are HOT especially in the locker rooms. Personally, I don't like feeling like I did my entire workout in a sauna. There a very few rooms that are climate controlled or cool in general. Cleanliness: Overall lacking here. You can come in at night and see the same trash or mess in the morning. It's obvious restrooms are not cleaned nightly or daily. Look at the TVs and windows you can see inch thick dust. There are also really bad sewer gases coming up from the plumbing in the restrooms. Equipment sanitization is some type of disinfectant and a microfiber rag. I find this to be really disgusting. Imagine wiping your sweat (+ multiple other people) with a rag and then going to clean the equipment with that same rag, GROSS. Lastly, pool/hot tub, sauna and showers look ehhhh. Ripped treads and random stoppages on the treadmills, duct tape carpet patches, and lighting outages adding to an already dark environment. Definitely some room for improvement here 3/5.
