I can't believe I've lived here for what, over a year, and have only just been to the library. It's small and I only picked up one book for myself so I'm uncertain about offerings, but it's easy to order whatever you want; the staff were super helpful and friendly in assisting me with finding the children's books I was after and in explaining how to acquire material via my kindle. There was a group of seniors playing a board game, a number of children being tutored and some older kids and pre-teens tucked away in various corners of the library floor. They have an extensive and awesome list of children and teen activities, just a lot going on in general. It might be a small place, but they seem especially vested in the community and vise versa.

They've completely converted to curbside pickup and had some opening hours during the summer (with social distance and masks required), and they've done a lot virtually as well. During this different time when folks are spending a lot of time at home, it's nice to have them keeping media and books available for all to enjoy! It's also nice that the books on hold are in a separate section where you can go look for it yourself rather than having to get in line to ask a librarian to locate it. There's also free wi-fi, of course, and lots of new books every time I go in. I almost always end up picking something out to read, though I don't always end up reading it. In addition to books and movies and such, museum passes are available at the library! Probably not terribly common knowledge for the most part, but this library makes it well-known by putting all of the museum passes up front. The downside of this is that the ones I'm interested in are often out. They also don't do reservations for it, so that part can be rough. Besides that, though, I'm a fan of this location and will continue to go check out their new offerings!

Last I was here, browsers could use terminals (they're probably using eMacs now) to perform searches. After you find what you want, just do the footwork to actually get your books. There's a good selection of fantasy and science fiction novels to borrow and you can even buy their overflow books in the front for cheap. The library is open Monday through Saturday, and have book discussion groups periodically. Recommended if you want to get your reading on!

This place…read moreis nice, but I don't know what the architects were thinking when they decided on high ceilings. This place is a giant echo chamber. There is so much noise here. Even the receptionist at the information desk was loud when she was talking to a resident. She didn't even try to speak quietly. People can be heard laughing and carrying on, the sound of phones ringing and beeping from scanning books can be heard from the other side of the building. Not an ideal place to come if you are looking for silence. I am astounded by how many people come into a library and do not bother to turn their cell phones on silent. Every few minutes I was hearing someone's phone ring. As I sat in the computer area, almost every person who sat around me had their cell phone on. They do have a really nice children's section, but it would help if they closed the doors so you can't hear the children carrying on from the other side of the library.

I am mainly into older philosophy books lately and plan on coming back here to advance my knowledge from all the scholars from yester years. They always have books for sale when you come in on your right and once every few months have their larger book fair. In addition to books and over five thousand DVD's in stock they have partition work offices you can work in. I want to say approximately five with a sliding door to make it a little more private as well. I have been to the Horsham Library and the Abington Library in the past month and my preference at this time I would have to say is the Horsham Library. As always people SYOY!!!

They're not replacing them with new books. They are apparently using the space to "feature" a book by standing it up face-out. Is this a store or a library? The science fiction/fantasy and mystery sections have been cut down by at least half (not even taking into account the fact of the remaining shelves being half empty.) It's so sad. Librarians used to be people who loved books.
