It's small and I only picked up one book for myself so I'm uncertain about offerings, but it's easy to order whatever you want; the staff were super helpful and friendly in assisting me with finding the children's books I was after and in explaining how to acquire material via my kindle. There was a group of seniors playing a board game, a number of children being tutored and some older kids and pre-teens tucked away in various corners of the library floor. They have an extensive and awesome list of children and teen activities, just a lot going on in general. It might be a small place, but they seem especially vested in the community and vise versa.

Even though I was impressed with how beautiful the old building was and how well stocked the shelves were with books, that was not why I was there. Me and my husband had made an appointment to get our passports processed. I made a appointment a few weeks ago (online) for 5pm. We were there a few minutes early, so the young lady at the desk told us to have a seat. Sure enough at 5pm exactly another young lady comes out (forgot to get her name) and goes over all our paperwork. She was very precise, making sure every line was filled out correctly. I didn't need my birth certificate, because I had a old passport (that had expired), but my husband needed his, since it was his first time getting one. The cost is $130 per person for the passport. An additional $35 per person to the Jenkintown Library for their processing fee. They only take personal checks or money orders. That's right!, no cash or credit cards. You also need to have your picture taken (before you get there) at a place that takes passport photos. I had mine taken at Staples for $14.99. All in all the appointment went pretty smooth after filling out the paperwork. They made us feel welcome and I would highly recommend the Jenkintown Library for your passport needs.

Came here today for a change of scenery and a quiet environment to work on final exams. This place…read moreis nice, but I don't know what the architects were thinking when they decided on high ceilings. This place is a giant echo chamber. There is so much noise here. Even the receptionist at the information desk was loud when she was talking to a resident. She didn't even try to speak quietly. People can be heard laughing and carrying on, the sound of phones ringing and beeping from scanning books can be heard from the other side of the building. Not an ideal place to come if you are looking for silence. I am astounded by how many people come into a library and do not bother to turn their cell phones on silent. Every few minutes I was hearing someone's phone ring. As I sat in the computer area, almost every person who sat around me had their cell phone on. They do have a really nice children's section, but it would help if they closed the doors so you can't hear the children carrying on from the other side of the library.

They've completely converted to curbside pickup and had some opening hours during the summer (with social distance and masks required), and they've done a lot virtually as well. During this different time when folks are spending a lot of time at home, it's nice to have them keeping media and books available for all to enjoy! No museum passes at this time, but they do have a nice selection that may be available again one day!

This library seriously needs to be updated. It still looks the same since at least the 80s. With budget cuts, the library is closed a lot at night and weekends. Sad. The best thing about E.P. library is there monthly book sale. People donate so often, that there are always new things to look at. Plus, it's like Black Friday. People line up in the cold and run to grab as many books as possible. Watch out for the creeps who have the scanners to check for resale value. Not cool to block aisles or build stacks of books 20 deep. Some of us actually like to read them.

No college will be perfect, but it is perfect for me and I know ive met friends for life. Ive so far only had pretty good experiences, and theres lots of pretty places on campus to work or just enjoy your time. If you can get good scholarships, Arcadia is an amazing choice. The abroad options are also amazing, I went to London and I will forever be changed!
