The smothered grouper was amazing & the fried grouper basket was delicious, only 1-2 pieces in the basket but it was more than enough for us with the fries and appetizers. The location is beautiful, right on the water with an outdoor second story patio. Two of us ordered the mahi tacos (3 per order) and unfortunately some of the tacos were light on fish and in both meals the fish was very overcooked. The tomato and bell pepper dice was nice on top and fresh and the sauce good as well. A third person ordered scallops and again those were overcooked, but not to the degree as the fish. They had a good beer selection. We walked away feeling like the views were nice, but the seating tight and it was a bit pricey for the quality (of cooking) and quantity of food. Location was the only thing that gained an extra star. If you're staying local then you'll definitely go here. If not, you definitely wont. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't great. Other reviews indicate that this place is an "it depends" proposition, and that seems about right. We got there at about 5:45 on a Saturday evening and were seated right away, and the service was good. The lobster bisque was tasty, and the smothered grouper my wife ordered was good (although the portion was a little lacking for the price). As for the shrimp poboy I ordered, there were maybe 5 shrimp on it buried under the cole slaw, very disappointing. We'll try this place again for other menu items as well as for the nice ambiance on the inland waterway. read more

The only reason I am giving this place two stars is because of the wait staff otherwise it would get 1. Food was mediocre but the wait time for the food was ridiculous. Went there for a lunch. New to the area. I will put this place on never to return here. Ordered the fish fry. The breading was terrible never have I eaten a fish that is in the shape of a square. French fries were ok. Cole slaw was just ok. I let them take my food away after only a few small bites. Just not what I was thinking fish fry should taste like. Don't waste your money. Stayed two nights in lovely Weeki Watchee, FL, and passed this restaurant numerous times during our stay. It always looked busy, so we decided to give it a try for lunch last Friday. Wait time for outdoor seating was only a couple of minutes, which was great considering how busy it was. They did have available indoor seating, but with the Weeki Watchee river just underneath the restaurant, I had my heart set on taking in the views while we ate. The lovely Kassidy was our server, and she was fantastic. Drinks were brought out immediately, and she was spot on with making recommendations and suggestions. We wanted to eat a light lunch, because it was late, and we had plans to have dinner at Becky Jacks Food Shack (review coming up for them). We ended up splitting a chicken quesadilla, a basket of fries, and an order of fried alligator tail. The quesadilla was fantastic - loaded with cheese and tender chicken. The fries were hot and crispy. The alligator tail was the highlight of our meal, and really stole the show! It was tender, and had a very light flavor. My picky 9 year-old devoured it - if he liked it, I guarantee you will! All in all an amazing experience! I can't wait to come back to try more of their menu items! read more

We went to the Upper Deck on the recommendation of a neighbor, and it didn't disappoint! The view was incredible, service fast (we were there 40 minutes total!!) and the lobster bisque was SO good! I've never had a bowl of bisque that had that much lobster in it!!! We also ordered the Conch fritters. They were really good! It was served with a sauce that had a hint of heat! Excellent choices!! Our server was sweet. When we went on the bottom area after we ate to admire the view a extremely RUDE old lady with blonde hair and a blue/green tie-dye shirt whistled at us like we were dogs and yelled at us that the area we were sitting in was closed. The food was good, the shrimp basket left a lot to be desired(picture was taken as soon as I opened the box). I also had the blackened gator (it's a novelty and the price is high), the conch fritters (genuinely great, only thing worth going for) and the lobster dip (is 90% cheese with a little lobster, primarily just tastes like cheese.) The service was the main thing that gets a low rating. Called Monday night to ask about take out, Megan told me I could do it. I called back later that night and spoke to Brianna, she said they were too busy to take phone orders (it was 8:15 and they closed at 9 so I get the idea) and I asked if I could walk over. I did and was told it would be an hour wait, I found this hard to believe because the restaurant was half full and all the tables I could see from the bar had food. I left that night. I called back tonight to place the order and was greeted by Megan again and she was nice again but when I got there Brianna said "oh! We have been looking forward to finally serve you. We were just talking about you" just about as snarky as possible. I was never rude to these people but I was treated so poorly. I'm only leaving this review to let others know that the food is decent and the service I received was subpar and laughable. These 4 items came out to 62$ after tax and I'll say it was not worth it for the price SUMMARY: the conch fritters are good, the lobster dip is mediocre, and you can see the shrimp basket. Best restaurant near and far. Seriously it was the best food and service we got all week staying in the Spring Hill area. Atmosphere was welcoming,stuff was polite,professional and kind. Food was absolutely delicious!!! Fresh,tasty what we are used to here in Florida. We had the blackened gator tail.It was seasoned with Old Bay,served with lemon wedge and sauce.A must try if you are in Florida! I also had the clams.Fresh,sweet,delicious,tender. My husband had a lobster bisque,it was good as is,didn't need any seasoning or hot sauce. We also sheared the rib eye cassadia-it was awesome. Our hotel recommended UpperDeck. It did not disappoint from our server, Cassidy, that had a great attitude, to the menu options, even the margarita was on point! We loved the view too as boats passed under the bridge. Came to see the mermaids and didn't plan much after that. Wanted to try Upper Deck for awhile. Finally decided to try with a friend on a Friday night around 730pm. I arrived first before my friend and so I went to save us a table upstairs. The hostess upstairs would not seat me without my full party so I decided to go downstairs to the bar patio. The bar patio was pretty dead for a Friday night but the bartender was super sweet. When my friend arrived we ordered drinks, mushroom caps, and 2 orders of Buffalo shrimp. The bartender made our drinks exactly as asked and was very attentive. The mushroom caps were very flavorful and tasty. The Buffalo Shrimp with blue cheese was my favorite appetizer. Good blue cheese is surprisingly hard to find in Florida. The Bar Patio at Upper Deck has an amazing view, great ambiance, and wonderful service. Would definitely recommend trying! read more

Good food, good servers, very accommodating for substitutions and additions. We had the Thai salad with a side of grouper which was great. We also ordered the fish spread and substituted tortilla chips for crackers and asked for a side of chopped tomatoes and onions. Which they nicely agreed to without any up charge. Very tasty. I got the mermaid. Margarita which I wasn't expecting to be blue, but it was very good. It had muddled fruit and wasn't serving sugary sweet.
