Pizza was decent once we finally got it. Service was horrible. After waiting for our pizza for nearly an hour I asked the waitress if they possibly lost our order because at least 4 tables of people arrived after us and had not only received their food but were done eating. She said, well pizza takes longer. I informed her that they all had pizza. She dodged that question. We finally did get our pizza and it was good x not great, but good. There was no mention of any discount and when we actually received the bill the 2 pizzas were $5 each higher than advertised. The German style pizza with sauerkraut and jalapeños was fantastic though on the spicy side, if spice isn't your thing, you could probably ask to skip the jalapeños but the sauerkraut was piled on thick and delicious under a blanket of cheese! The shop has a great fun atmosphere. The stools have the carvings of animal butts for you to sit on. The pizza itself is a cross between deep dish and not...half deep? The bottom is browned like it was made in cast iron, not on an oven rack. It is firm, not floppy, not overcooked. The sauce is a perfect balance between savory and sweetened tomatoes. My wife ordered a salad with oil and vinegar dressing...which turns out was vegetable oil and white vinegar. WTAF? Oil and vinegar dressings are olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The table we sat at was so greasy my water glass would stick to it and the beer battered fries were nothing more than frozen fries. Don't really expect anything "homemade" here! Yum yum yum! What a great find on a dreary day! We came after the lunch rush and had the place to ourselves. We ordered a half Hawaiian and half chicken alfredo. Terrific Hawaiian pizza! I enjoyed the alfredo pizza but the Hawaiian stole the show for me. Our server was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Somehow this translated to two pizzas, one without cheese and one with pepperoni and black olives. Even when we explained that they got my order wrong, they still charged us for both pizzas. Im currently a customer here. The service is terrible. We waited 15 mins before we were asked for our order and given menus. We then ordered and got our drinks. Then given our drinks and the soda didnt taste like soda. Tastes like carbonated water. No sweetness or anything to it. My bf then got his burger before my wings(mind you which took 15 mins after my bf got his food). His burger tasted like a school hamburger. Wasnt offered no ketchup or mustard. I then got my wings. Very disappointed in our experience. They were out of of things we had ordered and no suitable alternative was available. We were getting takeout and not offered forks or napkins. No ketchup for the fries. We had three takeout containers balanced in a stack, no bag was offered. The food was cold and we had to reheat everything before we could eat it. The biggest plus that I could say is that they were open later for travelers. Absolutely NO efforts were being made to protect the staff or the customers for a pandemic situation. It was disgusting. While waiting additional time for my food, I went outside just to use sanitizer. Sanitizer was not available in the establishment and I was the only person in the building wearing a mask. The food was good and there was plenty of it on the buffet. The service was good as well. It must be a popular place since there were quite a few people there. I was visiting Chamberlain on th 17th. With no notice, our group decended upon Upper Crust Pizza & Wings and could not have been more pleased. We were greeted warmly and treated like their best customers. Which in observation, is how everyone was treated. Our food was fantastic - great taste and presented well. I'm not sure what meat was on it but wasn't very good & gave us heartburn later. if not for the pineapple on half I doubt we could have ate it. . She eventually returned & asked how it was,, & I told her that the need to read up on what a thin crust supreme should look like & she took off. We had to catch her for the bill & she said, we took $2. Off. Like that was a big deal. I have to say that as we watched the regular pizzas go by ( only two) they looked really bad (few ingredients & on a big puff of dough). I guess if your partial to dough, then by all means.
