The shop has a great fun atmosphere. The stools have the carvings of animal butts for you to sit on. The pizza itself is a cross between deep dish and not...half deep? The bottom is browned like it was made in cast iron, not on an oven rack. It is firm, not floppy, not overcooked. The sauce is a perfect balance between savory and sweetened tomatoes. My wife ordered a salad with oil and vinegar dressing...which turns out was vegetable oil and white vinegar. WTAF? Oil and vinegar dressings are olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Yum yum yum! What a great find on a dreary day! We came after the lunch rush and had the place to ourselves. We ordered a half Hawaiian and half chicken alfredo. Terrific Hawaiian pizza! I enjoyed the alfredo pizza but the Hawaiian stole the show for me. Our server was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Im currently a customer here. The service is terrible. We waited 15 mins before we were asked for our order and given menus. We then ordered and got our drinks. Then given our drinks and the soda didnt taste like soda. Tastes like carbonated water. No sweetness or anything to it. We stopped here on our way to Spearfish, it was the first day of a new year so we called ahead to see if they were opened! Glad we stopped here since most places further up were closed due to the holiday. The service was nice and pleasant, our pizza was made fairly quickly. We had a 12 inch supreme in their regular house crust...pretty tasty. I had a side salad which was nice and crunchy. Very disappointed in our experience. They were out of of things we had ordered and no suitable alternative was available. We were getting takeout and not offered forks or napkins. The biggest plus that I could say is that they were open later for travelers. Absolutely NO efforts were being made to protect the staff or the customers for a pandemic situation. It was disgusting. We were heading home from vacation and decided to pull off the interstate in Chamberlain to try this pizza place. They had a nice buffet. It was reasonably priced if not underpriced a bit. The food was good and there was plenty of it on the buffet. The service was good as well. It must be a popular place since there were quite a few people there. The owner was warm and friendly and he interacted with many in the restaurant. We would definitely go again and highly recommend it. We were greeted warmly and treated like their best customers. Which in observation, is how everyone was treated. Our food was fantastic - great taste and presented well. Friendly service and good food! I had the veggie sandwich and my mother had the vegan meatball sandwich.
