When we finalized our plans to move from NY to North Carolina, we contacted a local mover (let's call him Bill), who we knew personally. He partnered with and recommended Muscular Moving for long distance moves. After our experience, I am sure even he is reconsidering his partnership with Muscular Moving. We arranged for Muscular to pick up our possessions on Friday August 14th. The night before pickup, the movers called us and stated they would be late as the truck broke down and would arrive early morning on Monday August 17th.. While not happy, we realized things happen, and since we weren't leaving NY until Wednesday the 19th, it gave us a few days to continue working to pack up our items. Monday the 17th we received a call at 745 am, fifteen minutes before their arrival time, telling us they would not arrive at our home until 11am. They finally showed up at 130pm. When the movers arrived, they quickly realized that nothing had been prepped; they were under the impression that our local mover had wrapped and prepped all the fragile items and Muscular would only need to load the truck and then leave. Well, Muscular Moving had never arranged for Bill to come in and prep everything. In fact, local mover Bill even called Kolby at Muscular Moving several times to offer his prep services before the Muscular pickup and Kolby turned him down. So after their arrival, the movers soon realized they would need to do everything, packing, wrapping and loading and then left for the evening around 7pm and the job, which was supposed to be finished on Monday, dragged on until 8pm Tuesday the 18th. Muscular then left NY and headed to NC, where they would put our items in storage for a week until we closed on our NC house. While in transit on August 19th, my wife and I received word from our NC builder that our new home closing would be delayed 3+ weeks until September 18th. On August 20th I informed Muscular that closing would be delayed 3 weeks and we would want our items delivered between 9/18 and 9/21. They finally delivered our items on 9/24. They had 3+ weeks to figure out the schedule to get us our items on time and they could not do it. Their own internal communication was horrible. Here is an example: On August 23rd, the night before the NC delivery, I received a call from the Muscular driver that he would be at our house at 8am the next morning with a crew to pick up our items and bring them to NY. I calmly explained that our items had come from NY and were in a storage unit in NC and the crew would need to go to the storage unit pick up our items and deliver them to our home in NC. I directed him to check with our move manager at Muscular so he could get the proper instructions. They arrived on 9/24 with many items missing Antique dresser / leg broken Cabinet / leg broken Vacuum cleaner / pole bent Glass top for coffee table smashed Several boxes of dishes / broken Curio shelf scratched Complete set of Corning ware/ all pieces smashed Missing pillows which belonged with our sofa Missing box of small tools Day bed had missing screws and bolts and could not be put together properly. Brass frame was scratched They apparently stored our items in a unit that was not climate controlled and all of our clothing and many of our other items smelled musty from the heat and humidity. When unpacking, we found glass shelves, which instead of being wrapped individually and then wrapped together, were just pressed together and wrapped as a stack. Major miracle that these shelves did not break. Even the unloading crew, which was different than the crew that loaded our items in NY, was astounded by the way our items were packed and treated. We are disgusted and upset that our possessions were treated in this way. Now we will need to go through their insurance which according to the previous poster, may not be worth our time. I want this company to step up and compensate us for our losses.

Communication was great. Eric and Miguel showed up right on time (one of those dreadful 110° Phoenix heat advisory days) and worked quickly and carefully. I needed to get my household goods out of their storage quickly to stop the situation from getting worse. Just-In Time Moving was gracious enough to fit me into their schedule last minute. Their office was communicative, their estimate was thorough and clear, and the final bill matched what they estimated. The crew showed up on time, communicated throughout the day, and was professional, careful, and kind. This was not a simple move. They had to unload my furniture and belongings from storage crates, unwrap items that had been wrapped by the prior mover, take care with everything, rewrap my furniture, load it, transport it, and unload it into my new storage unit. They completed the entire job in 7.5 hours. By comparison, the prior mover had tried to bill me 16.5 hours for the move into storage alone. Just-In Time Moving did a fantastic job, and I am extremely grateful they were willing to help me on short notice. After the experience I had before them, their professionalism, clear communication, and honest billing meant everything. My advice to anyone hiring movers: read all reviews carefully, do not take online ratings at face value, check whether the company is listed with moversaz.org, review BBB ratings, and read how the company responds to 1-star and 2-star reviews. I wish I had done more research before hiring the first company. I am very thankful I found Just-In Time Moving when I did.

The movers arrived over an hour late and called ahead to say they had overslept. Once they arrived, they moved extremely slowly and disappeared for long stretches of time throughout the move. During the move, my dining table was broken. Instead of the owner handling the situation professionally himself, he placed the responsibility on the employee who damaged it. The worker took the broken table leg along with an additional leg and never returned either one. I had to repeatedly follow up trying to get this resolved. At one point, they attempted to order me a completely different table that was not even the correct size -- without my approval or even showing it to me first. After more follow-ups, I was told that once the incorrect table was returned, I would be reimbursed so I could replace my original table myself. I even sent photos of the exact table I purchased and was assured they would "do the right thing." Two months later, I still have not been reimbursed. To make matters worse, I was charged $140 per hour for 3 movers even though I was directly quoted $120 per hour in text messages. After I questioned it, I was refunded $50, which hardly resolved the issue. I had originally removed my first review after being promised they would pay for the damaged table, but that promise was never honored. The last message I received from the owner was simply asking, "How much?" instead of reviewing the many previous messages and handling the situation professionally. I called late to schedule, I asked to move our "move time" like 4 or more times.. my house was not as organized as I had hoped..
