Could be for deer season, or rebuilding the range, all needed, but there is no way to find out until you pull in the driveway. Once they had a sign up saying they were going to open an hour late. There were over twenty people waiting, and we were some of the last to leave, two an a half hours later. They have no website or working telephone. They explained that the phone is for calling out in an emergency. There isn't any way to contact them. The last time I was there, the gates open at11:30 and shooting starts at 12:00 and goes to 4:00 PM. Between 11:30 and 12:00, the range master explains the safety rules. The charge was $10.00 for the day and teens under eighteen were free with a FOID card holder supervision. The only drawback was the lack of communication!

We just bought a puppy from Rock Hollow and are extremely satisfied! I had contacted Mary before…read moreone of her females was pregnant. Communication is excellent! She kept in touch all the way through the birth and up to day of pick up. Sending pics of our puppy and emailing them to us along the way. When we arrived we were greeted by Mary in their bar/ restaurant. The environment was so welcoming and the burgers looked and smelled delicious! Because we were picking up the puppy we did try the food. But we do plan on making a special trip back in the near future to do just that! I will post a review on the food very soon. This review was more for my experience with them as a breeder, but I could just not help commenting on the inviting atmosphere of the rustic hunt club dinning area/ bar. I'm sure it will be well worth the 40 mile drive back!

But they can keep mailing me invits to hunts and coupons for puppy food. Horrible way to do business. Not one return phone call back. Initially they told us we'd have a puppy for Christmas put down a deposit to hold our place to pick ours out. Called a week before Christmas and said oh there's no puppies. We waited until Easter before we could get one. Then heartbreak son after and not even a sorry this happened just silence. I'd never recommend this place to anyone terrible

After we finished the front nine, we were going to grab a quick bite to eat and something to drink. Unfortunately, one of the people in the pro shop came out and chastised us for taking longer than the allotted time and backing up people behind us. Never mind that we were letting people play through. Needless to say, I refused to waste my money there on food and I will not go back. It's great to try to keep pace going, but if you alienate young players, who are going to be your customers in the future? I was so put off by the tone, I was ready to leave and blowoff the back nine. My kids wanted to keep playing. Unfortunately, once we started the back, my daughter decided she didn't want to get more people mad at her so she didn't want to play. I finally convinced her to at least drop a ball by the green so she could chip and putt. Not really how to help her improve her game. So many other courses around here that actually appreciate and support young players, no need to play Swanhills!
