This shop came highly recommended from some of my buddies that have cars, I drive a 1951 Chevy Styleline Deluxe and I wasn't disappointed. I bought the car and was told it had a 12 volt system and 3 weeks later multiple bulbs were blown and I couldn't figure out why. (Dash lights, dome light, radio, back license plate light etc) I had my alternator rebuilt, got a new battery and they still wouldn't work. I dropped it off and explained everything to David and while I was waiting for my ride home he was already working on my car. Couple hours later He called and told me what it was and how much it would run and it was ready the same day. Soooooo great shop, honest work. Solid guy. Highly recommended working with David. Will be bringing my car back for a full rewire. read more

OH HELL NO, DO NOT GO HERE!!! David smelled like alcohol and appeared to be under the influence. He is all smiles and cool until you ask why my car has been here a couple months and nothing is done. He was aggressive and originally said he'd send videos of progress. That never happened. Even got aggressive when I asked for my deposit back. Yelled at my friend who was with me for no reason. read more

David very obviously on drugs. Never answered his phone. Knocked and knocked on door til he answered and told me at least 10+ times he is "sorry I was taking a nap I didn't know anyone was coming" Fidget, quick to put on a mask (in 2026) , spoke way too fast and repeated himself far too much. Meth is a helluva drug read more

I previously had loved this business. It was nice to have an electric shop I can trust. I have several classic cars and always had great experiences. The last time I went in was completely different. David requested money up front which was weird I would usually never do but like I said I trusted him. I paid him partial up front. Over a week went buy for a small project on a truck I use for work with no word. I decided to stop in and one 3' wire had been ran. David used excuses that he was going thru a divorce. However like others mentioned I suspect it was a drug problem as that's what it seemed. He told me he would refund me. I never got my money back. Do not trust him and I hope he gets the help he needs. Extremely disappointing read more

I'm pretty frustrated-- earlier this year I dropped off one of my classic vehicles with David and the car sat for almost four (4) weeks without even being worked on. I was charged $400+ dollars and he never even touched my car. Then when I scheduled a time to come pick up the vehicle, the shop was closed and I wasted several hours waiting for his brother to open the shop. Six months pass by and I decide to give David and this business another chance because I had several really positive experiences before. I own a business myself and was told he was going through a divorce and dealing with a large amount of life changes...I can understand how something in your personal life can have an unfortunate effect on your work. 6 months should be enough time to heal and clean up your workflow, right? I'm generally a pretty forgiving person so I told David that because you charged me $400+ before and I never got a refund, how about I drop my car off and you fix the electrical issues and I apply the $400 toward the service this time? He agrees, and I'm stoked. Well...another 3 weeks pass by and David doesn't touch my car at all. Continually makes up excuses about how he needs to take care of his daughter because of the divorce. Okay, but how does that equate to not being able to find time to work on my car for 3 weeks? Every interaction with David in person...seems off. Like maybe he's high on drugs. I suspect meth or something in that category. Erratic behavior, talking way too fast, HIGHLY animated, and always making up excuses, fidgeting. Finally I call the shop and a woman answers (maybe family or one of his employees) and I tell them I'm totally fed up and need to get my car. This woman explains that David will probably continue making excuses and they agree I should just go somewhere else. When I pick up the vehicle, David seems high on drugs again. He claims he'll give me a refund. Makes up more excuses about how he was busy with his daughter and couldn't find time to work on my car, meanwhile there are always other cars there being worked on... I'm sorry, but I'm never giving David or Upland Auto Electric my business again. I also never got the refund he promised and so I filed a chargeback with my credit card company. Two consecutive times, over the span of six months, my car sat at his shop without being worked on for weeks on end. I found another electrical shop in Murrieta, California that works on classic cars called Exclusive Wire Works and they knocked out 80% of the work within the first few hours of me dropping my car off. Sure I had to drive 45 miles but after what I went through here...and wasting arguably two months of time? Worth it. David please get some help. Stop lying to customers and making up excuses. There's potential for a solid business model here and you used to do good work, but you need to do better to earn people's trust back. On Google Reviews, two (2) other recent reviews also noted that he seemed under the influence or high on drugs and had extremely poor experiences with David avoiding customers calls and not doing any work. read more

I had an excellent experience working with Carlos at Upland Auto Electric. He is extremely knowledgeable about electrical systems and takes the time to explain everything clearly so you understand what's going on with your vehicle. He diagnosed the issue quickly and gave me honest recommendations without any pressure or upselling. Carlos works efficiently, communicates throughout the process, and makes sure the job is done right the first time. You can tell he cares about the quality of his work and about helping customers feel confident and safe with their cars. If you need anything related to auto electrical diagnostics, wiring, battery issues, alternators, or any kind of electrical troubleshooting, I highly recommend asking for Carlos. His professionalism, skill, and customer service truly stand out. read more

I had two windows go out in my Chrysler PT Cruiser ...and I smelled that burning plastic smell. I started calling around and started a project on Yelp to get quotes. None of the "sponsored" or "suggested" shops that came up were willing to give me Evan a ballpark quote but they were all anxious for me to drive in and give them $90 so they could tell me what's wrong w my car tho! I looked around and the map showed Upland Auto Electric real close to me so I gave them a call. I talked to David who was real straight forward, and he gave me a quote... an estimate that I wasn't gonna hold him to but it gave me an idea of how much we were talking about. They were stacked up so he asked me to stop in the next day. I left the car w him, he checked it out and confirmed what was needed to be done. David got the work done in one day and even stayed under the ballpark number he threw at me! Fast service, good pricing, professional, and friendly service. I am keeping their number and passing it on to my family and friends! read more

To begin with, it's very difficult to find an actual, knowledgeable auto electrician. David is one of those rare guys. It's also almost impossible to find an honest, straight talking auto mechanic. David is one of those rare guys. He works only by appointments, so he can be difficult to schedule, but it's worth the trouble to schedule an appointment with him. You won't be sorry that you chose him to do your auto electrical work. read more

David is a great tech and an honest person. I've been trying to get my tail lights fixed for a while now and he's been diligently working on the issue but has yet to actually charge me for the diagnostic testing. The first time I dropped my car off he worked for a couple of hours and wasn't able to get to the bottom of the issue before I had to leave but he didn't charge me for any of that time. I came in 3 separate times to try and fix it. He'd look at the lights, make a couple of adjustments and they start working like nothing was wrong. We were both perplexed. The last time I brought it in I said I had a new radio installed and I wondered if that was the issue? He pulled it out and adjusted some wires but said he couldn't find anything specific that looked like it would be a problem. He said he would order a part (I believe it was turn signal bulbs) because he'd seen it be an issue before, but he wasn't going to charge me for them unless they fixed my problem. Well, I haven't even needed those. Since he pulled out the radio and put it back, everything is working! It has been for a few months now with no problem. Basically he fixed my issue for free, after looking at it 3 times! I've never been to a place that didn't charge for the diagnostic time even if they couldn't find the issue. He's honest and an extremely hard worker. I kind of hope something electrical comes up again just so I can actually give him some business! If you're in the market for vehicle electrical work, I highly recommend David and Upland Auto Electric. read more

My check engine light was on so I took my truck to the dealer and according to the code it was going to be a wild goose chase and very expensive. Decided to give Upland Auto Electric a try and I'm sure glad I did. David did some troubleshooting and found and fixed the problem in a very reasonable and timely manner. His pricing saved me a great deal compared to what the dealer would've charged me. David kept me informed throughout the process and to say I'm happy is a great understatement!! David was really helpful with us. we really satisfied with service and friendly staff thanks David,

Our 2017 Ford Edge's rear liftgate (hatchback) got stuck and would not open. We manually popped it open and tried to troubleshoot it ourselves. We checked fuses and even removed and replaced the latch and motor assembly but no luck. Had to be something electrical, we weren't getting a signal from the front to the back as no buttons or sensor would work to open or close the hatchback. Ok, we did all we could, time to call someone who knows more than we do! Checked on Yelp and talked to several auto electric repair shops but no one wanted to touch the job until we got to David at Upland Auto Electric. He said to bring it in the next morning at 10am and he'd take a look. We left it with him and about an hour and a half later he called with the problem found, a bad liftgate module/board that needed replacing. Two hours later and a fair price and we were heading home with a fully working vehicle again! I cannot thank you enough David and crew for your expertise, communication and speed in taking care of us. If we ever have an automotive electrical issue again, you're who we're gonna call! read more
