The Samosa was good but the breading was a little thick The shrimp was very tasty but they left the tales on and since it was fried could not see till I bit into it The lentils was delicious and the lamb was good we asked for spicy but was kind of mild. If they fix a few things i will go back and give it a better review

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because the only off thing about my whole experience was the cleanliness. They could've used an extra person sweeping up and cleaning tables but where we were seated was clean and tidy. Service is a little slow but hey, they get the job done. We looked over the menu for a while and decided to try their dinner combo for two. They have a vegetarian option but we went for the meat. It came with chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori, sag paneer, rice, naan and samosas. A great deal for under 40 bucks. We ate and then still had some leftovers to pack up for another meal. The tikka masala was delicious, very flavorful. Their rice is perfect. I had never tried sag paneer but it was great too, huge hunks of cheese swimming in a spinach sauce. The garlic naan was also really good, super tasty. I enjoyed my mango lassi but would probably get it as a dessert next time, it's very rich and takes over a lot of flavors. Since I'm new to Indian cuisine I'll keep trying new places but this one will probably be in my regular take out rotation!

The service is always top notch serving Nepali loving kindness with a side of the most amazing foods. My wife completely enjoyed her mild Dum Aloo and Egg fried rice. Himalaya On Heights is one of only a couple restaurants that make a mild she can tolerate. She said that the spices used for the Dum Aloo are super tasty with no heat and the Egg Fried Rice is not oily, is loaded with tasty veggies, and seasoned perfectly. As always I enjoyed the steamed Veggie Momo and Veggie Thali. The green Momo sauce has become my favorite but I could eat their Momo without sauce. Not only are the Momo beautifully made, they are extra tasty. The Veggie Thali had pickle, mustard greens, urad dal, and a black eyed pea curry that were all extremely balanced with flavors leaving me feeling like I just left my Mom's house after a hearty home cooked meal. The dessert that comes with my Thali is unlike any Gulab Jamun I have ever had. I had Butter Tea with my meal and it was exactly like one I received when meeting with some Monks at the Temple I attend. It has a savory and slightly salty taste that leaves a lingering film in my mouth with each sip. I highly recommend Himalaya On Heights for their obvious passion for serving great food and smiles that may leave you feeling satisfied and happy like they do us.

Turkish cuisine is a unique combination of flavors, spices, and herbs developed over thousands of years, influenced by the Central Asian nomads and Arabic, Persian, Italian, French, and Eastern European cultures. While New York has some great Turkish food if one knows where to look, most of it leaves some room for improvement. Could Jersey be better? The town of Carlstadt has mainly residential private homes, with a spattering of condos and garden apartments. The main shopping area is all of about three blocks long on both sides of the street. Translated from the Turkish language, meaning sultan, we have come to this family-owned/family-run establishment located on Hackensack Street since 2006 for Saturday dinner. The reservation was easily made by Google Assistant. Upon entering this hidden gem called Hünkar Restaurant as first-timers, my partner, our friends, and I were greeted by the staff inside a cozy room, where ethnic pictures and decorations as well as the music all add to the vibe. A great view of the NYC skyline is visible from their enclosed back patio. Their menu features Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine with a modern twist and serves alcohol. As an appetizer, we decided on the Kibbeh (Icli Kofte), Calamari (Kalamar), and Cigarette Borek (Sigara Boregi). For our main meal, we opted for Chicken Saute (Taouk Sote), Shrimp Kebab, Lamb Shish Kebab (Kuzu Sis Kebab), and Chicken Shish Kebab (Tavuk Kebab). All Kebab meal accompanied by rice, char-grilled tomatoes, peppers, and a small salad. Warm, fluffy pida bread with a crisp crust started our meal. Every dish bursts with authentic flavor and is beautifully presented, from the fact that Turkish families from all over the area eat here. The staff is warm, welcoming, and very professional; our server was Akincan "John," the owners' son. The price was comparable to the area with the right portion. We can recommend this place.

The portions are fantastic but the quality is what sets it apart from a lot of other places. On a nice day, do yourself a favor and ask them to see you in the back enclosed porch where you will get a view of NYC.
