We set up an appointment for a 3 hour window 3 -6pm on Saturday Feb 22, he calls at 5:45pm to say he was running late and out of the area and over an hour away. Up and Going came out to fix my recumbent bike. Requested an earlier time on same day of appointment, which they were able to accommodate. He arrived on time, and worked fast to diagnose and repair. Pricing was very competitive making repair worth-wild vs. replacing a piece of exercise equipment that has a great deal of life left. Other quotes I received to just come ou out and diagnose (not even repair) were high enough that it may have been better to just replace. We thought we would give Up and Going a try. This business, Up And Going, did a great job repairing my home gym. Considering the gym originally cost over to $3,500 I did not want to just give up on it. They were courteous on the phone and scheduled to see me the day after I called. They drove to my home where I showed them the home gym which needed the main support beam holding up the main pulley repaired. After a short time examining the equipment he began working on it and promptly repaired it in less than an hour. He stayed until I gave the equipment a try to verify it was in good working order. I've dealt with the crackpot that NordicTrack sent out a couple of times that didn't know what he was doing and reamed me for the service calls while having them send out the wrong part. Thank goodness we found this gentleman. He advised as to the correct part, which we had NordicTrack send out and then he installed it, made adjustments and lubricating, leaving the machine working perfectly. That was a year and a half ago. Called him this morning because the elliptical needed lubrication and he was out very same day, disassembling front and back, adjusting and lubricating leaving machine working wonderfully. He came out to fix a smoking/ burning treadmill problem that started after the movers cracked my container around the motor. He charged me like $120 bucks, but didn't fix it, I called him a week later to say that nothing had changed, and he said he didn't remember me. He never called me back. I finally reached him, he came back out, un-did the "work" he did the first time, but now my equipment was more damaged due to him making holes in the engine compartment, and once again he didn't fix anything but had the nerve to ask me for another $ 110.00 for his "service". I asked him what I was paying for, since he did nothing but unscrew the lid that he attached incorrectly the first time! I gave him $ 80 bucks and tore up his phone #. I'm right where I started with a smoking, broken up treadmill, but now I'm out $ 200. He then tried to sell me a new engine component which doesn't match the equipment I have, but he claimed it's new and improved and by coincidence just happened to have one in his car, but my treadmill is 15 years old. He called ahead to let me know he was 15 minutes away, arrived on time and went straight to work replacing two belts on my Healthrider treadmill. The old belts were worn and making too much noise.
