Bought a set of dumbbells on here for a huge sale: 5-75 lbs for $900 as opposed to the normal $2-3,000 everywhere else and so I decided to build the rest of my gym including the mat, barbells, barbell plates, a squat rack and a bench and the total all came up to about only $2,200. This would cost $5-6,000 anywhere else and was such a good deal. On top of that, HUGE shoutout to Richard who notified me of what could and could not fit in my tiny Honda civic, for recommending me places to rent trucks cheaper to transport the heavier equipment, and finally for helping me load over 2,000 lbs worth of equipment onto my car. And that stuff was heavy, we were loading over 200+lbs at a time. He also did a great job in helping with the weight distribution so my car wasn't scraping the floor and he did a great job turning huge things around in my car to make it fit. 40 years in business apperently and these guys are a trash company to deal with. i have never had such a frustrating interaction with an unorganized business like this. They like to play telefone, no one is aware of anything going on. Let me tell you my experience: First time ordering from this site. Got a full dumbbell set + rack "Pre-order" Placed my order on a non bussiness day (Sunday) and messaged them less than 12 hours to cancel. Later on that evening i get a message saying its been shipped with another email saying partial order got sent out. How is a preorder item shipped already In PARTS with missing dumbbells/rack. What? Customer care email did not respond to this. Got called to schedule delivery and told them it's not the full order and not going to accept it. Guy from this company calls me and asks me why im not accepting shipment. I tell him what happened and how i am not accepting a partial order And letting my new dumbbells sit on a floor for months until that rack comes in. He's confused about partial order and does not know what my shipment even contains. I told him to confirm if it's the full order and if it's not to cancel it. Calls me back says ita not the full order and I "wont get charged" 2 weeks after i see my refund was never processed. Call back, guy calls someone else, again.. calls me back says i should of gotten store credit. Uhh no, nothing was ever mentioned to me about store credit nor did i ever recieve an email. proceeds to tell me the previous guy was misinformed. OK well at this point EVERYONE is misinformed. what a coincidence!! while on the phone call with the gentleman i finally recieve an email of store credit. It wasn't "resent", they just sent it. Nightmare company to deal with. Disputing this charge, why would i ever want a store credit. when the first guy told me it was handled i was still looking at their site potentially buying. but after this i would never want to do business with these crooks again. This review is long overdue. Our CrossFit has been purchasing equipment from ETE for a little under two years. What I love about this warehouse is that it makes viewing and purchasing equipment easy. They have a large selection and typically have most items if not all in inventory, their prices are competitive and the woman who works at the front desk is always patient, calm and great with answering questions. Once you selected and paid for your equipment, summer from the warehouse, brings out your order and helps load it to your vehicle. I've been a previous customer of ETE prior to COVID, which I know has been tough on fitness companies due to the overload of orders. ETE has really disappointed me though. I ordered equipment, and was told it would be an 8 week wait for it to come in, which I understood and was okay with. It has currently been 16 WEEKS. Yes, double the amount of time they had told me originally. And throughout all of these 16 weeks I have not received any sort of update on my order. I call, they say they don't know where the package is at in the process, and that's all they know. I respect the price and High quality of equipment you guys sell, but don't commit to an order you can process. I'm $300 in and haven't received any sort of equipment for it yet. With Covid 19 putting a halt to not only gyms, but fitness equipment vendors having almost nothing in stock, Extreme came through beyond my expectations. While everyone else is price gouging, they have very competitive pricing on equipment and the most affordable plates and dumbbells. Ralph was very helpful and informative, very transparent with delivery time, and went above and beyond with customer service. I'm not sure what the other reviews are about, maybe they just need a hug or something. I have referred my friends here after my pleasant experience. We need more Ralph's in the world who are straight up and honest so that you can make a sound decision on which way to go instead of people over promising and under delivering. I have to say I was a bit confused with the reviews, grateful my friend Eddie recommended ETE. As far as my personal experience with the staff, was friendly and safe during these uncertain times. I did wait the expected time of eight weeks to receive my shipment. Well worth the wait. The warehouse in Cudahy sent it over to Ontario location at no cost and pick up was smooth and easy. Prices and quality was great since vendors that do have stocked products are overpricing their cheap products. I will definitely recommend them to my friends, clients, and family.
