My treadmill was fixed the next day! You have to be flexible but the process was easy, be patient when texting, and you will get a response. I texted yesterday and I was told there was availability next day, plus the value of the cost was worth it. Considering he had the part with him, plus labor, and not to mention the gas he used to get to my property. The cost was reasonable considering everything that goes into fixing it. Treadmill people! What a relief! Thank you Mr. Juan!!! Long story! I own a Precor, error 22 came on. I called a guy a named Ben on yelp. He was nice. He said a plug came disconnected from the computer part. It stopped working again. I called Ben back but he asked me to call Precor: They came out and did a full analysis, they were going to replace everything. My tread fell out of warranty while pieces arrived at their office. It was going to cost 2,600.00 to fix. I called Ben back to see if he wanted to have the tread. He came curious to see what was broken and committed to fix it. He figured it out the piece but he never came back! I ordered the part from Precor. I found Juan on yelp. He showed up!!!!! AND, it turn out that after the Precor experts came out, after Ben the treadmill guy came out! Juan figured out that the real issue was this tiny cable that was severed! I grossly underestimated how easy it would be to oil the belt on my home treadmill. Long story short I accidentally loosened it too much and couldn't get the belt to tighten correctly again. For two days I struggled to fix it working with another equipment repair service. It wasn't until I called here that my problem was removed. I was referred to this company by a family friend with the statement that they use this business all the time and they are great. My experience has not been so good. To start the initial contact was via text as they dod not pick up the phone. 1 day response time(not bad). So I provide my info and ask to be put on the schedule, next thing I know they are texting me at 730pm advising they have tomorrow available for a 4hr window 1-4pm, the following morning I see the text message and my response is sorry I'm not available. Keep in mind nobody has called me back yet, but ok! 6 days later around 10am I received a message asking when can we schedule? I immediately respond with my availability for the next 4 days, 5.5hrs later no response. So I text back again and and they reapond with "in 4days with a 3hr window". At this point I figure beggars can't be choosers so I manipulate my schedule to make it work and confirm. The day of the appointment, it's now past the window of time they gave me so I reach out. I get a text saying I'll be there in 5mins. I'm irritated but ok, things happen.(A little heads up would have been nice.) The tech arrives and I mention you know you had an appointment and your late. He responds with yeah sorry I leave my phone in the van and I was running late. I mention to him, whoever has been feilding the calls and messages is doing a poor job. The tech looks the machine over, lubes the belt adjusts the belt and says we're good. We test the machine, it's still making the noise(the main reason I called for the service) he tinkers a bit tests it and it seems goood. He tells me if you have any issues just call me back. Now keep in mind he was pretty good at explaining and giving tips and advice. 1 week goes by I had not used the machine yet, I get on and right away it's making the same noise again. It's actually making more noise than before. I also noticed the belt is misaligned again. Right away I call, and of course no answer. A week goes by so I send a text message. It has been 10 days and no response. Communication is key. It can make an experience really pleasureable or miserable. The tech seemed nice enough, he was clean and respectful but the overall experience left me feeling bothered and thinking "well, I got what I paid for. The "other guy" was $50 more, so this is probably why". I gave ample time before I reviewed on Yelp. In my opinion I would not refer this company to any of my friends or family as it's just too much of a hassle. I did tell my family friend of the experience and they were like wow! read more

It's unfortunate Juan doesn't know how to schedule people and keep appointments. I have had him come out to my House twice. Both times he fixed machine as I already had parts for him. The issue is both times I wanted him to simply lube an elliptical and he said he didn't have time. I mean he was already at my house. He didn't have change for my job and told me he would deduct it from When he returned which he never did. He told me to text the number for a future appt which I did on a Thursday when he left. I didn't get a response until Monday that simply read weds 1p-4p I responded ok in 23 mins. Never got a confirmation or anything. Weds came and of course Juan was a no show. I text him 4x and called once without response until he had the nerve to say my appt was never confirmed. The week prior they never confirmed my appt sent me a text that he was coming. Such unprofessional practices. Read all the other scheduling issues on yelp people have with Juan and save yourself the headache. There's a reason so many negative reviews. I hate to leave a small business a bad review but it's 100% accurate and Juan did nothing to maintain a loyal customer. I have older gym equipment and have had several repair companies advise they don't repair that type of equipment. I spoke with Juan from "Up and going" Exercise Equipment Repair who said he could complete the work needed. Initially I reached out to 5 repair companies and Juan was the only one who replied promptly. On the day of the repair, Juan texted me that he was en route and showed up within the appointment time frame. Juan repaired the cable and pulleys on my Parabody weight machine and completed the maintenance on my treadmill and elliptical. I don't know how they've been in business so long they have poor customers service, are rude, no detail orientation or fore thought. I asked for a maintenance service ($90) for a used treadmill I bought. The owner said he didn't want to just lube the belt because it's very old and actually need replacing. He quoted me no more than $140, maybe less. He didn't take down the model number. TWO days later he asks for it. When the belt arrives I make the appointment for the installation ($60), and says it costs $190. I was upset for the steep price difference. He said HE DECIDED to CHOOSE the better quality one with out asking me if that was okay. Without apologizing for making that choice for me and not sticking to the quote, he said he could return it and order the cheaper one, but I said no we don't want to wait because my mom needs to start walking for her physical therapy at home. I asked him 3 times to bring a receipt for proof of how much this "quality belt" cost. He sends his technician who replaced the belt and mentions to my mom another part need replacing because it worn out and causes the treadmill to not work smoothly at a lower pace. So I became upset because that's gonna cost more time to order the part and more money to get it installed for a THIRD visit. So now my machine works fine as long as you use it at 3.5 mph and incline. How is that "Up and Going"? I want my machine to work smoothly at it's full capacity, at least from it's lowest setting since we bought it for my mom to comfortably recover from breaking her foot. I shared all this frustration with the owner and was left on read twice and had no returned phone call. He could have repaired this professional relationship with some way of fixing this unsatisfactory work, and had a happy loyal returning customer, but no. So if you made it this far, save yourself the headache and go with a different company. This is still redeemable if he offers 1. The receipt and 2. A free installation of the second part, and then maybe I'll come back when the treadmill needs maintenance again. read more
