I wanted to take the time to write a well-deserved glowing review for the best hair stylist and salon I have ever given my business to. Kymm Smith, owner of Voila, is a lovely and kind lady that I have known for many years. She is a very caring, genuine individual and with over 30 years of experience in this industry, she is incredibly knowledgeable in her craft. Kymm's daughter, Tia, has followed in her Mom's footsteps and is also a familiar face with the biggest smile to greet you that you'll find at Voila. I always feel super comfortable in Kymm's chair. It's like stepping into a friend's kitchen and is a warm and relaxing environment. Kymm really listens to what your needs / wants are and she'll be honest with you as to whether a certain color or foil will look right on you or not. I always respect her opinion which comes from her vast expertise and dedication to her craft. Besides giving great hair outcomes, Kymm gives THE BEST scalp massages when shampooing, conditioning and rinsing your hair. Frankly that is my FAVORITE part of my visit! I appreciate and value the care that I receive from Kymm Smith and her Voila family and I don't mind the 45 minute drive to see her every 5-6 weeks. I KNOW that she and her staff will always take great care of me and my needs.

I had cut and roots done by Nancy. I had moved from NY and needed a cut and color before a wedding…read more I really liked the ease and convenience of the cut. I am a 70-something with fine and now thinning hair, so cutting it well is not easy. Nancy did great! Collarbone length. The color was spot on. Also, as it turns out, she has Bear Island roots, and she knew all my neighbors. Best, because of her lake background, she really gets what the weather, wind, sun, and water can do to your hair. In fact, as she told me, "Lake hair don't care."

I had a very pleasurable experience at Refuge this morning. I was greeted by the owner, Laurel,…read morewho took the time to show me out to the waiting room (an open porch over looking Main Street) and served me ice water. She spent some time getting to know me as I had just moved to the area and made sure I was comfortable. Sonia did my color and my hair turned out beautiful. Changing colorists can be stressful and these two ladies were careful to match my color and product exactly. I was further impressed my little touches of comfort like and hand/arm massage while my color set and a neck massage during my hair wash. Unlike other salons, at no time did I feel rushed or shuttled out to a waiting area while someone else got their color put on in my colorist's chair. I would recommend this salon to anyone.

I made appointments for me and my bridesmaids, but I never had a "dry run". I could not have been happier with my experience at Capelli Hair Salon. Two of us were immediately seated upon entering. The women listened to what we wanted, looked at photos, and then replicated it the best they could. Our hair was done in a short amount of time and then the two women helping us proceeded to give the remaining two girls beautiful hair styles. My friend also convinced me to get my makeup done for the wedding. As a disclaimer, I hate makeup and it hates me. I always feel like a dirty cat when wearing makeup and it just seems to weigh down my face. The woman who helped me with my makeup listened to what I wanted and definitely did not overdo the makeup but still covered all those bags under the eyes. I would highly recommend Capelli Hair Salon. The service was excellent and I could not be happier with the results. Everyone was very professional yet also a lot of fun.

Their concern for their clients is top priority.

I have been thinking about going 'natural' and she gave me several options on how we could do that over time. When we tried one of them, I decided that I'm definitely not ready to be grey, and just like that, my beautiful blond is back! I'm also excited about the skin salon that they just opened around the corner. Have had 2 facials there with Stephanie and what a great job she did both times. The experience itself is very relaxing and my skin looks and feels wonderful! Highly recommend!

A Serene Spa Experience with Stunning Lake Views…read more Tucked inside the beautiful Church Landing hotel, right next to Lakehouse Grille, Cascade Spa in Meredith is a true hidden gem--especially if you're looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating pedicure experience with views that can't be beat. We came in for a morning pedicure for three, including my husband and dad, and it turned out to be the perfect start to the day. The salon is spotlessly clean, the atmosphere is incredibly calm and quiet (no blaring music, thankfully!), and the overall vibe is pure serenity. The professionalism of the technicians really stood out, and I want to give a special shoutout to Kannah, who did a wonderful job on my pedicure--gentle, thorough, and so kind throughout the entire service. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but honestly? Sitting by Lake Winnipesaukee, sipping hot tea, and enjoying a relaxing leg massage while surrounded by such natural beauty--it's one of those "life is short, treat yourself" moments that's absolutely worth it.
