Hubby got all excited when we passed by this store while strolling around New York. He had heard the ads on Howard Stern's radio show as well as ads in GQ Magazine and wanted to try on one of the shirts. The store was bustling and well organized, but it was easy to find a salesperson to help. The hipster employees were super friendly and helpful. They even had a comfy seating area with plush leather couches for shopping companions to rest their feet. My hubby is a big guy with very broad shoulders and a big neck so at first he was worried they wouldn't have shirts in his size, but they did. Now big fellas, you're going to have to most likely go with a much larger letter size than you're used to; UNTUCKit has a smaller, slimmer cut. So don't get married to your "I wear a size XL shirt" because here, you'll probably wear a size 3XL. He left with four new shirts. These guys are really VERY helpful, with samples to try on, and sizing you correctly. They have a nice little couch with some strong libations, but I strolled in around 11am so...too early for that. I also like the efficient check out process on the iPad without needing to go to the register...and if they don't have your size or color, you can order it right then with free shipping. The downside is the cost. Basically you'll be paying $100 per shirt. I ended up buying one, and then the next day I found something similar in a thrift store for about $15. Think about it. If you need a good fit and good customer service then check them out. read more

I have experienced a very unfortunate customer service incident with UNTUCKit that was surprising, given the reputations I thought they had in the apparel industry. Given their 10 year+ history, I have taken pride in purchasing quality garments during my 40+ year in the banking industry. Their shirts were appealing to me, as the concept was innovative, yet simple. When I noticed one of my UNTUCKit shirts was showing a discoloration in an unusual pattern, I contacted them expecting to have this issue resolved in an expedited manner. However, when the representative requested/required proof of purchase (basically, the receipt), it became clear that their approach to a resolution wasn't in alignment with my expectations. It's unfortunate that one is expected to "jump through some hoops" to simple obtain a replacement shirt or an offer for a discounted purchase in order to replace the garment. I would think that Chris and Aaron would have their customer service commitment to their patrons finely tuned. I know I can purchase other quality brands that do, and will shop there instead. read more

Un-wearable. I'm in shape and about 6'. If I buy a typical shirt I wind up having to sport my chest hairs or uncomfortably button it up to my neck. If I buy an un-tuckit shirt the neck area is perfect but when the wind blows I wind up sporting my stomach hairs. The button is too high at the bottom. I prefer the former. read more

Most disappointing customer service experience. We tried on shirts to get our size, however, the shirts we brought were not the same fit. We attempted to go back and retry size, however we received "It is a clearance and can't return" for the first short "as you were told at purchase", we were not told that, then she went on to say it is also on your Receipt, which was emailed post say, so too late. I hadn't received it by last Friday and the woman I spoke with told me that they were having problems with deliveries and would send out a replacement. My boyfriend and I stopped into Untukit Soho last night to buy 1 shirt for him, and we left with 5 shirts total (3 women's for me, 2 for him). We had a GREAT experience. The staff (including Shelby and Kevin) were warm and welcoming - they made us feel right at home as we browsed. My boyfriend enjoyed some bourbon on the house (such a nice perk)! I work for a Chicago-based startup (Kapow) that partners with a lot of retail brands (JCrew, Nike, Joie, Sunglass Hut) for corporate events. So, I was curious about the Untukit history. Shelby was very knowledgable / passionate about the brand - letting us know we were shopping in the very first Untukit store. She also shared some of her own great styling tips for the shirts (hunt: chunky necklaces over the collar). Overall, great experience. I needed to exchange Untuckit shirts I had ordered online (wrong size). I called the West Hollywood, CA store on Melrose Ave and spoke with sales associate Jennifer. She advised me I could do the exchange in-store. To begin with, I'm not an avid shopper. This was one of the more positive experiences I've had. Jennifer was pleasant to deal with, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the shirts. The overall transaction went very smoothly. After ordering one shirt for my husband to try, we were so pleased with the fit, the quality of the fabrics - linen and 100% cotton - and the choice of stylish colors, that we ordered 7 more. Each one is perfection! If you've seen the new Mama Mia movie, you will notice that Pierce Brosnan is wearing the very pretty medium-dark blue linen shirt in many of the scenes. Untuckit - the good - I have a lot of "dress" shirts that don't look great untucked - but they are stylish. The Untuckits are cut to be worn untucked but, for the most part, are boring strips and plaids. Yeah, that's the good - in my opinion. The bad - if you live West of the Mississippi don't be fooled into paying extra for shipping. The shirts ship from KY and, if you pay an extra $8, the "speeded up" delivery time to "the West" is supposed to be 4 days - it's not. And the old excuse that "we're not responsible for delivery" is bull. Untuckit selects the shipping company and advertises the delivery times and you pay Untuckit for delivery. So, just keep the above in mind. Another point - Unless a shirt is on sale at Untuckit, I strongly suggest you can do better with your money in terms of style, value, and shipping - quality is good. I had ordered some shirts after seeing countless advertising on my Facebook page (i guess they work, haha!). I didn't find a number to talk with a sales associate while ordering online, I went by their size chart as best as I could. I ordered a few different styles and cuts, but upon receiving the shirts, I didn't like the fit of the shirts on me. I placed the shirts according to the return instructions (they were pretty clear). I didn't get my refund for some time, after finding the email address I was able to get a refund. After I spoke with customer service, they invited me into their store for a proper fit. I really enjoyed my in store experience, Nadine was fantastic. She really knew the shirts and their sizing, She gave me a few shirts to try, didn't feel rushed and she answered all of my questions. I was able to find a shirt that I really liked and it looks great Untucked!! I would highly recommend that you visit the store if you can, they have a great variety of shirts, models and colors. We were at the Austin The Domain store location on Memorial Day weekend. We have seen the advertisement on magazines but never been to a store location. We bought 3 shirts at that store. The staff was professional and extremely helpful. The two gentlemen and young lady was helpful making sure my shirts fits me since the sizes are somewhat different from regular size shirts. The young lady made sure we wrote the sizes for future purchases. When we got home, we ordered two additional shirts online that was on sale. In fact, one of the sales person lived in Florence, Italy and my wife was having a conversation with him about Italy. We had just gotten back from our trip to Italy and they were exchanging information about his experiences with us. I wrote a comment a fews ago about 3 UNTUCKIT shirts I bought that were torn at the sleeves. After my posting Untuckit reached out to me to find out what was the problem with the shirts. I sent them pictures. They asked if I had contacted them about the shirts (I replied no, i just figured they would not do anything about it). They promptly replied they would replace the shirts with any shirts on their website. One week later I received 3 new shirts. Incredible unmatched customer service by Keisha B. from the Walnut St Philadelphia store... I was so impressed! Did a phone search for a specific item that was sold out online, and Keisha not only found the item and shipped it to me wrapped with a bow, but sent me a Christmas card thanking me as well! She was terrific to deal with but really went the extra mile, even calling me to see that the item was received in time for Xmas! To top it off, the shirt, which was really nice and great quality, didn't fit, but Keisha located the next size, and I travelled to the store to pick it up and meet her in person. Great concept, but the shirts didn't fit right. They need to add a choice of 32-33 and a 34-35 arm lengths between Small and Medium sizes. The fabric quality is also a bit lacking, comparable to $20-30 shirts found at discount retailers. For great fit and quality at a reasonable price, my standard is the "Dress Shirt" from Nordstrom Rack. read more
