After having to wait almost 2 weeks just to get an appointment to have an overheating problem worked out in my car it's was 10 hours at University Ford North without a single notification of any kind phone or text. I called several times I was repeatedly put on hold for over five minutes without anyone picking up the phone. Finally at 6 PM after the closing of the service center I contacted and was given an answer finally from the supervisor. His answer was he hadn't talked to the tech so he didn't really know what was going on and could I call back in the morning? I had been looking for a car for my teenage son and after having a not so great experience with another dealer. I found a 2010 Chevy Cobalt which appeared to be in mint condition, so my son and I took a little road trip. David Harrington was our salesmen and he assured me over the phone the car ran just as good as it looked. He was correct. They were also able to work with me on the price a little; (which was nice). Everyone from the Finance person to the Cashier were so personable and reassuring. I would say if you are looking for a car New or Used call David Harrington 1st because he knows the business and is great at what he does (he won't try to talk you into something you don't want) and the rest of the team are just as nice and knowledgeable. I've been to two Fords in the triangle, this one being my second. The first one was Cary crossroads. My car broke down and was towed to Crossroads, but was under warranty for what had broke. They offered me a loaner car to use until it was fixed. My car had broken down again, in the exact same fashion as before and is still u Der warranty. I had it towed to University Ford to get it checked out and fixed, but this place would not loan me a car to use. I was then talking to a customer there that had problems similar to mine, his car broke down with those things that broke under warranty. He was able to get a loaner car from themwhile his car was fixed. I talked to the guy who helped me again, Asking why can I not get one when the other guy who had similar problems as me got one? He said the other guy might have had ESP or some other reasons I couldn't comprehend. He then said I can't get your car checked out until next week, and when it is, if it turns out the item under warranty broke down then I MIGHT be able to get you a loaner. His answer to me just changed a little bit from I can't get you one to maybe after it is checked out. Other dealerships offered a loaner car, the other guy at the same dealership got a loaner car, but im stuck without one and my car won't even be able to be looked at until another week. The service just isn't consistent and doesn't sound right to me. I'm stuck without a car for weeks when what broke down is under warranty. EDIT: Bumped up from 1 star to 3 stars. I received a courtesy call from the service manager Jim the next day. He took the time to explain things thoroughly. Said he would try and see if the car can be looked at sooner than a week to check if the part that isn't operating is under warranty then he will be able to help me get into a rental. read more

Bought a truck from them just to start my own business since COVID-19 was dying down haven't even gotten to the mileage of my first oil change by them and I wanted to sell it back because COVID-19 has showed it's ugly head again so I don't need the truck anymore but they are offering me close to $8000 less than what I paid for it which is just absolutely ridiculous especially since I haven't even been driving it at all and it's basically in the condition they sold it to me for these people do not care about you they just want your money. Sales experience was good initially. Bought a used 70k truck from them with clean carfax and their inspection showing no accidents. On the two hour home drive the front adaptive cruise control sensor didn't work at all and showed a fault code and the drivers door came loose and began shaking violently on the interstate. Took it to local dealer and had bolts tightened and they advised me that the entire side of the truck had been replaced. After contacting the management at University Ford North, they implied that the truck was sold as is, and they would basically give me 10k less for the truck I had just purchased on trade, therefore leaving me with a 17k rollover into another vehicle!! Have ANY used vehicle from this dealership inspected thoroughly! Even if they claim the carfax to be "clean" Very disappointed. read more

Service people were nice but there's no getting through to the service manager when you need assistance. Had to have our truck fixed and it was under warranty but thy will not honor he warranty! Whats the point in purchasing extended when they wont use it?? Horrible practices. Will not go back!! read more

The ABSOLUTE WORST experience I've ever had with car service! I had an appointment for brakes, rotors, and oil change at 7:45 am and promised 10am. By 10:15 only the oil change was complete and told the rest of the service wouldn't be ready until mid-day. I was given a piece of shit loaner car after I complained about how that interfered with my schedule. They loaned me a 2001 Ford Focus station wagon that was completely FILTHY, dusty and full of dog hair. Even my four year old complained about the filth! When I told the manager about my my bad experience she said "well we dont technically make appointments. We just make drop off times". Ok but I got a confirmation call from them the day before about my 7:45 drop off, so, yeah thats an appointment. That shows me that their time is valuable to them so they made sure you'd show up, but your time is not valuable. The manager Julie Hunt was defensive and did not take accountability for their mistakes. Will never come back! read more
