My husband found an ad on Craigslist for a 1998 Ford Mustang GT, excellent condition, 14,000 + miles on it, garage kept etc.,. It said other stuff about the car being in great shape, the body, the interior, etc.. My husband contacted this fellow, the bill of sale says University Auto Broker, 320 NE 33 Ave., Gainesville, FL and gave him a $300 deposit via paypal and made arrangement to fly to FL and make the final purchase and drive it home. The man who advertised the car just flat out lied about it and if anyone is looking to buy a car from this dealer, you need to be really careful. My husband was an idiot for handing over the rest of the money for this car to this guy. The car is not what was advertised at all, you can tell the odometer has been messed with because the numbers don't line up so somebody did a rollback. The drivers seat has sprung springs so whoever owned the car before was extremely fat to have done that. It has a god awful squeaking sound that my husband has yet to find the cause of, the steering and suspension of the car is loose and my ass it was garage kept. My husband was an idiot for following through with this sale and yeah, I told my husband he was an idiot for following through with this sale. I would really think twice about dealing with this guy or this dealer, I don't know exactly what he or it is because the ad on craigslist was listed as an individual, not represented as a dealer. My husband told me that this guy told him that he knew the person that owned this car and he had been watching for it for years to go up for sale and a bunch of stuff I'm just going to call "crap"!! Once again, my husband was an idiot for following through with this sale when he saw the car and after driving the car and once again, be very careful of whoever is "Universal Auto Brokers, 320 NE 33 Ave., Gainesville, FL 32609!!!!!!!!! read more
