Michael at College Cab is my go-to airport service for the following reasons:…read more(1) Dependability, got a 6AM flight? You can ALWAYS depend that Michael will be there when he says he will. I always get nervous about early flights because sometimes Lyft or Uber cancels; (2) Professional, Michael is extremely professional. He can make good conversation or let you be! Overall, you can tell he runs a good operation; (3) Fair priced, he is 65 dollars to SMF which is slightly above Lyft/Uber w/o price hikes but competitively priced during price hike hours. I think the extra cost is worth the reliability when going to the airport; (4) Accomodating, he is willing to add car seats which is a HUGE plus.

It didn't answer many of my questions, such as is there a cancellation policy. I emailed them and they responded very quickly to all my questions. BTW, their cancellation policy is $20 charge for each reservation up to 24 hours before scheduled pickup. Within 24 hours there is no refund. We booked for a 8:30 a.m. pickup for our departure date. The driver was outside our house at 7:45 a.m. and texted me at 8 a.m. We rushed to finish packing and were on our way at 8:10 a.m. I guess looking at us, he decided that we'd appreciate oldies music. We chuckled to ourselves but didn't ask him to turn it off. When some of the songs went on repeat we laughed internally again. We got to the airport at 9:30 a.m. A bit early, in fact two hours before the check-in counter opened. For our return ride, we got sent a message when the plane touched down. We didn't know how long it would all take before we had our luggage and could leave, but the driver was nearby and would be ready when we were. He sent a picture of the vehicle. Both vehicles were Toyota minivans, very roomy and comfortable. We will be comfortable using Sunrise Shuttle if we need to get to SFO again.

My parents needed a ride home from the airport after being stuck in the Philippines due to their…read moreflights being cancelled and rebooked multiple times. They usually use Evans Transportation if their kids can't pick them up. But because of COVID, Evans was not operating. Not wanting them to be stranded at the airport and knowing they don't know how to use Uber or Lyft, I decided to search for other alternatives. I knew I wanted something where I can pay in advance so my parents didn't need to worry about paying, and something that can drive them and their luggage directly home with no other passengers in the car. I looked at reviews on Yelp and saw that Golden Gate had some good ones. I compared prices to some other shuttle services as well and decided this was very reasonable. I sent out a message through Yelp and they responded quickly. I was able to set up a shuttle ride over the phone two days in advance to have my parents picked up from SFO. What I really liked and the reason I give this company 5 stars, was their clear communication. My parents are not clear communicators, so it was imperative that I needed a shuttle service that could understand and work with me to help my parents find their way from plane to shuttle. While I was stuck at work. Lol. They were able to check on my parents' flight status, and the driver arrived on time. My parents did not follow directions (I knew it) so the driver had to contact me, but they eventually contacted the shuttle driver and found each other. Once in the car they realized they did not have their house keys. Luckily, I work one exit away from their house and the driver was kind enough to make a stop by my work to pick up my copy of keys. I really appreciate the good service this shuttle company provided. I have not personally used this service, but my parents have said that they would definitely use them again. Ride was smooth, car was clean, driver wore a mask. At a time where we are experiencing a pandemic and stress levels are high, it's good to know getting a ride from the airport is one less thing to worry about. If you are reading this and wondering if this shuttle service is any good, I highly recommend them. Bookmark this page!

On our way to the Sacramento Airport for a Disney Cruise to Alaska, we learned that the car carrying our children and two young grandchildren had been rear ended and totaled. They were stranded on the freeway, shaken, and unable to get to the airport. After dropping us off at the airport, Moe didn't hesitate. He immediately left the terminal, drove straight to the accident scene, gathered our family, and got them safely back to the airport -- delivering them to the gate just in time to make our flight. And he still wasn't done. Moe waited until I confirmed that every one of us had boarded the plane. And after all of that, he still went the extra mile -- literally -- driving the car seats back to my son's house. Moe's kindness, urgency, and genuine care turned what could have been a heartbreaking disaster into a saved family vacation. We will forever be grateful, and we will never use another car service.
