Lots of restaurants to choose from but the options are mostly fast food chains. If they had a Din Tai Fung, that would be absolutely amazing. Parking can be expensive, but if you're watching a movie then parking is only $5. Parking is $10 after 5pm.

Location 4 stars: The Universal City Walk is located in Universal City, California. It is part of the Universal Studios entertainment and shopping complex that includes the amusement park, restaurants, shops and a movie theater. You will need to use one of their parking structures. You can enter the Universal Studios complex via Lankershim or Cahuenga Boulevards. At the time of my visit the fee was a prepaid $10 a day for standard self parking. They also offer "VIP?" self parking and valet parking but I have not tried them. No street parking. You can also do remote parking at the Metro Universal City/Studio City station lot for less, located across the street with a free shuttle or pedestrian bridge to City Walk. Food 4 stars: Nice variety of mainstream restaurants including Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, Wasabi Japanese Restaurant and Sushi, Bubba gump, Antojitos Mexican Restaurant, Raising Cane's, Slice House by Tony Gemignani, NBC Sports Grill & Brew, Buca di Beppo, Cinnabon, Voodoo Donuts, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe. Insomnia Cookies coming soon! There is also a Food Court. Stores 4 stars: Huge assortment, but mostly for tourists and visitors: It's sugar, Universal Studios Store, Line Friends Square, Sanrio Smile Shop, NBA Store, Production Central, Billabong, Abercrombie and Fitch, Sephora, Celebrity Authentics, Dodgers Clubhouse, Hot Topic, Karma and Luck, Lids, Locker Room, Nectar Life, Things From Another World, and Tilly's. Movie Theater 4 stars: The Universal Cinema AMC is a modern theater featuring comfortable, leather power-reclining seats in all 18 auditoriums. The Bottom Line 4 stars: A great place to hang out, relax a little, shop a little, and have some good food and drinks.

We came here on a shuttle bus from our hotel. It was a quick ride. CityWalk has a variety of restaurants. I am familiar with most and have eaten at most of those. Not too many were appealing to me anyhow. They have Pink's Hot Dogs which I love but then they had KFC and Buca di Beppo!? Just doesn't seem to flow in my opinion. To each their own. I browsed through some stores and I did not buy anything. Everything just felt blah. I am more used to the Citywalk in Orlando which is a lot bigger and has more variety of everything. Universal Citywalk in Hollywood is nice to stroll. I don't think I would come back next time I am in Los Angeles. There are too many other great places to go.

I love Universal City Walk! It's a fun area with it's own vibrant & Vegas-esque food court. Universal as a company drives me absolutely mad, but this shopping, eating & entertainment district is well put together. I'm here all the time for the AMC movie theater. It's annoying because the parking lot can be a nightmare sometimes, especially during Halloween Horror Nights. Also, they used to just let you show your ticket for $5 parking when entering. Now they have this convoluted system where you pay $20, then AFTER your movie you have to stop at the box office to get $15 back. I understand they need to prevent people playing their system, but this is most definitely not the way. Actually, I haven't been back to City Walk since they started this practice 6 weeks ago and we had to go through it on two separate visits. It was a disorganized nightmare so I hope they fix that bit. But anyways, I used to always come here for movies and eats, plus some park time. Aside from the movie theater, the shops are mostly all Universal themed like a cute Sanrio shop and another Super Mario one. However they do have some others like the NBA Store (a media partner of Universal), a LINE Friends Store, a Dodgers shop, socks shop, Hot Topic, Sephora, Shoe Palace, Lids, movie collectibles and comic book stores, there are a lot of fun shops. Foodwise, a lot of nice sit down restaurants like Antojitos Cocina Mexicana, Toothsome, Margaritaville, NBC Sports Grill & Brew, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Wasabi, and Buca di Beppo. Slice House by Tony Gemignani is one of the newer options for quick dinner eats. The food court is also a full of quick dinner options with a Panda Express, Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, Pink's Hot Dogs (very minimal options compared to the main location but still a LA classic), a poke spot, Firehouse Subs and the Habit Burger Grill. Snack options like VooDoo Donuts, Cinnabon, Wetzel's Pretzels, Ben & Jerry's, Starbucks, Menchie's, and Hello Kitty Cafe offer bits and bites to satiate the more indulgent side of food. There are 3 new food spots opening next year in 2026 that I am *SO* looking forward to: Insomnia Cookies, Raising Cane's and Mr. BBQ ~ a Korean BBQ! YAS! Some Pro-Tips: ~Wednesdays - coffee & donut for just $4 at VooDoo Donuts! ~Happy Hours Exist! @ Margaritaville, NBC Sports Grill & Brew, Toothsome and VIVO Italian Kitchen. They vary in time & offerings so check those locations specifically for their deals.

I like this Place Because of all of the Sonic & Sanrio Merch that you can get, also including Drinks & Candy as well

Can you tell by my pictures what one of my favorite movies was? So we actually got tickets to see a movie at the theater inside so I convinced my friend to go early so we can walk around. By sheer luck, we entered the Jurassic Parking Garage. So i took a lot of pictures with the Jurassic Park murals. The City Walk itself is fun. Lots of lights and cool decor.

Came here to see Dani Bowman hosted the Autism Rocks Concert. What a fun and enjoyable events! Got to meet Dani Bowman, Sandy, and Patrick. After the concert, we walked around the City Walk. There were many restaurants and shops. An amazing place to hang out and enjoy the many stores and food selection. There's even a movie theater. Highly recommend this place.

Wow! I love Universal City Walk now...because (can't believe I haven't written a review on this place)!! They have Sanrio Smile Shop and Hello Kitty Cafe City Walk for Hello Kitty fans!! I personally only participated (shop) at the store. I'm looking forward to the Mr. Bbq Korean Bbq restaurant to open up soon!! And of course they have the AMC theater here, so when you finished watching the movie, there are restaurants you can eat at. Other stores I like here is Take 2, there they sell Universal Studios items (Harry Potter, Mario. HHN etc..) merch at 70% off!! If you are AP holder (forgot if it's for all tiers or for Gold & Platinum...you get additional 15% off). Depending where you go, service is different of course. If you love Raising Cane, they are here now too. I also love how they have restrooms availability at the garage areas and also at City Walk. OH...there is Starbucks here too. Prices varies depending on businesses you are visiting. I do enjoy it here now. If you don't have certain AP, regular parking is $40.

Something about my visit this day just does not seem like what Universal City Walk used to be for me. It'll be difficult to find a good reason to come back.

If you are looking for a variety of restaurants & shops all in one location then I highly recommend hitting this spot! Universal City Walk is perfect for families to just stroll around, see a movie, eat or hang by the "shooting water" area:) You may get soaked so pack a towel! If you are looking for more of an adult experience then stop by 1 of the many restaurant bars here for Happy Hour. They have some great deals! You can also decide to come here after your day @Universal Studios Hollywood. All up to you! Either way, you will have a great time! *And if you are a "Hello Kitty" groupie like me, you can visit the Hello Kitty & Friends Cafe! *It can get crowded during holidays/weekends Parking Info: *check out these reduced parking options: $10 General Parking after 5pm for all guests. $5 General Parking** with purchase of a movie ticket to Universal Cinema. $10 Valet Parking for the first 2.5 hours with validation from a CityWalk full-service restaurant. *Not valid during Halloween Horror Nights.

Cool place to walk around and do some shopping and dining. Universal CityWalk Hollywood is a retail district that is an expansion of Universal Studios. There are around 30 stores, 30 eateries and a movie theater featuring IMAX. It has a cool water fountain in the center that is worth checking out. The CityWalk's central plaza is topped by a large dome that was constructed by the same people who constructed Biosphere 2. You don't need an admission ticket to Universal Studios to visit CityWalk. Some places here will validate your parking ticket. TV show Access Hollywood does some filming around here. I remember seeing Mario Lopez do a taping here back when he did the show. Most of the shops and restaurants are places that you would find at any mall. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville and Bubba Gump Shrimp Company are themed restaurants that have been here for some time. I used to like going to Karl Strauss Brewery back when they were still here, but it looks like they closed. Universal CityWalk is a fun place to walk around and enjoy some dining and shopping after a day at the theme park. Especially at night when all of the neon lights are on.

Universal City Walk is a dynamic entertainment, dining and retail promenade that reflects the area's rich cultural diversity. The iconic open-air leisure and nightlife complex offers 30 eateries, 30+ shops, a 19-screen Universal Cinema featuring IMAX and plush recliners, and attractions like iFLY Hollywood indoor skydiving and the 5 Towers live stage. Universal City Walk is ideal for a fun night out or extending a theme park visit - with food, shopping, and entertainment all in one place! Every year, millions of tourists visit Universal City Walk for one-of-a-kind shopping, dining and entertainment experience.

Lots of shops & eateries. Simple layout and easy to move from store to store. Dodger Clubhouse, Nike, Voodoo Donuts, Jamba Juice, Bubba Gump Shrimp to name a few. Overall selection of shops here was excellent. My biggest complaint was the exorbitant parking costs. $35 for a shopping trip - don't be surprised

Aside from accidentally wandering in here or being here for a specific event (seeing Yoshiki over a decade ago or the 20th anniversary Rilakkuma pop up, which was absolutely fisted with people), I've only wandered here on accident when hanging out with friends elsewhere. There's a good number of shops and eateries though, especially since it sort of shares the space/is right next to the Farmer's Market (great open area to go shop and to go dine).
