My name is Douglas Washington and I have been very disappointed with the service and accountability of Healey Cadillac Newburgh. I know what bad service looks like because I drive past a couple dealerships to come to you guys. I even make peace with the drive because I believe that the closest dealership isn't always the best. I have been to your location numerous times and I also purchased a service plan to show my commitment to come to this facility. I will speak on my most recent experience and how it has failed. Not long ago I came to you guys for an oil change which was part of the service plan (that I bought from you guys) and found out from a crappy dealership which was next to my house that you guys didn't even top off my fluids. When I called back I was told that you guys only do that when a person is aware and or asks because of the cost of the coolant. That's unsatisfactory. What person would knowingly neglect their cars cooling system to save money? And why would you send them out with a car that has potential to overheat and cause more problems? So I came to the dealership near me they topped off my fluids then I came back to you guys because I have the service plan and I'm supposed to get a discount, again going past a couple dealerships to get to you to fix a problem of my car overheating as an example. Even with AI/Chat GPT, troubleshooting can be done on the vehicle and tell you that it was more than just a coolant flush, that's what you guys told me it was and sent me on my way. Not even a month later now my entire cooling system has been stressed and failed and I have a $3,500 bill because you guys did not pay attention and exercise any type of troubleshooting standard. Instead of trying to understand the problem you guys thought, oh, let's throw a fix at the problem. So within the last month two visits I have spent $4,100 and you guys did not give me a ride home from dropping off my vehicle, you guys have not offered to pick me up to pick up my vehicle. I have worked in maintenance management here's what I can tell you, we have a Fix-It once within 30 days policy. If someone comes back within that 30 days we look as it to be our problem we don't point fingers, or place blame, we don't look for the additional revenue of a return customer. This also shows a lack of scheduling because the more vehicles that come to you, the busier you guys are and the longer it takes for you to get vehicles fixed. If you can fix it right the first time, then then you prevent return visits adding to a workload. You have to stop the repeat visits, you have to have the courage to look the customer in the eye and talk to them about the visits, especially when we are talking the same cooling system in my case which as I told you guys the very first time with the numerous problems that I had should be addressed. You guys chose not to offer any kind of discount when your troubleshooting has failed and you guys think that all customers have their understanding of customer service, maintenance management and will keep showing up to spend money and waste their time, and couldn't offer me help in transportation, even to pick up my vehicle with your shuttle ride. If a guy spends 4,000 at your dealership and you can't even give him a ride on your shuttle to the dealership, then I don't even know how much else I need to explain in this review. You have no management plan about offering loaner cars, I would advise anyone that would listen to me to avoid your dealership. This is not a Cadillac dealership this is a Yugo dealership. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES, you tell me!!! Short story... purchased a 2021 BMW X3M from Unity that had major exhaust damage as depicted in the pictures. This was discovered within the dealer 1000mi warranty.The service manager tried to down play the damage, basically said that it was a possibility the "Owners" would not cover it after showing him a picture of it. Literally a 50 percent restriction on one of the two exhaust down pipes... The way it was approached before having a tech look at it made me lose my cool. My thing is, just be neutral until it was looked at by a tech. I couldn't believe what they were trying to tell me. They said the car was inspected which it clearly was not. They took the car to get detailed for 1.5hrs while doing the inspection. Car was never washed, vacuumed or detailed before purchase, same condition as test drive. Brake pads were shot once heated and driving on highway conditions. Couldn't feel how warped the rotors were and how low the pads were at a slower speed directed test drive. Pads and warped rotors changed first week of ownership. $1400.00 after purchase ... Damn. Finally, I'm heard and allowed to bring the car in to get fixed under the warranty. I dropped the car off on a Monday and followed up later in the day with the service advisor. The service advisor says "Yeah, it's going to be 4 Grand, needs a new exhaust system". I say "ok, it's still under warranty.... " This is where the panic set in, you just admitted I need a new exhaust system. The service advisor then says that he needs to call me back, he needed to speak with dispatch. After never receiving a call back from the service advisor, I decide to call. This dude ducked me and ran me by in circles with no plan for another day. Finally I get a hold of him and he says they are going to fix it! QUESTIONS???? Fix as in replace? No, we are going to try to salvage the exhaust system. Basically heat the metal, hammer and mold. The next day I asked to be directed back to the service/sales manager, Todd to get a response on how they were going to fix the exhaust. Sooo, I find it weird that they were quick to bill me "4 Grand" but when the repair cost was on them, all of a sudden they can fix it. I made note to bring this up to the sales manager because he's behind the whole thing. That's a shady business practices, you tell me!!! The car is fixed after dealing with a whole dealership of dishonest scammers. Crazy, we were best friends when I was buying the car. A week later I bring up a legitimate complaint and they tried to PLAY ME and charge me $4000.00 I love the car and the mileage but out of principle, I would've continued on my car search and completely bypassed this dealer had I known this was what they're about. I do not recommend this place! No Thank you Brianna! Save your generic ass sympathy. You can't treat people like this without repercussions. I needed to see why the front left side of my Cadillac was scraping the road during right turns and also diagnose a small rattling noise on the front right side (possible loose backing plate). I had to wait a week to find an available appointment time. That was fine though since I wanted to make sure it was diagnosed correctly and it was easy to make the appointment through their website. I pull into the bay and advise the attendant my name and appointment time and I was immediately told that they would not be able to look at anything on my car now and that I would have to leave it for two days for a mechanic to look at it. Also, I would have to call them to make this appointment. I almost laughed in her face and then stopped myself and advised if they could just check to see if something was loose under the car. The attendant went over to the manager and spoke to her for a minute and then came back and said that I should have called and made an appointment. First of all, why would this joke of a dealership even offer online scheduling if they were not even recognized as appointments? Second, why wouldn't someone from the dealership contact me and inform me of their 48 hour diagnosis requirement ahead of my appointment time? Finally, why couldn't they at least check for something hanging from under my car since they clearly saw that they had completely screwed over a potential customer? I would have paid for the simple eye balling to see if something was hanging off the bottom, even if they could not repair it right there and then. In conclusion, this dealership is not only never going to see me for any type of business, but I have made it a goal of mine to bad mouth them on every medium possible. Truly one of the most atrocious displays of horrible customer service, managerial skills, and overall business model I have seen in decades. They hit the trifecta! I am extremely disappointed in the service that I received at your dealership over the last several months. I have highlighted some key points in my frustration with your service. On July 15th I found your dealership Unity Cadilac in Newburgh, NY after experiencing an issue with my Cadilac Escalade. I drove to the dealership and informed the service advisor that I was out of town and if it was possible to expedite the repairs, I would be grateful. The Service advisor said it should not be an issue and after I showed him the error code, he felt he could have the car back in a few days at most. I showed the Service Advisor my Cadilac Platinum protection package information and was told by the service advisor he could not find this in the system. I decided to have a copy of the policy emailed from the dealership that I purchased my Escalade from in Georgia. I rented a car, and we started our vacation in the general area of the dealer. On the 16th I called and found out my vehicle was not in the service department and the service advisor was no longer working at the dealership. After several hours I called back and found that I had a new service advisor and was promised a call before the end of the day. At the end of the day, I did not receive a call and tried to call the service advisor only to find that she had gone home for the night. On the 17th I called the service advisor at 7:30 AM and requested an update and was informed that the new service advisor had also left the dealership. I then requested to speak with the service manager and was transferred to the new service manager. I explained my frustration to the manager and was told that he was trying to sort things out as he was just appointed service manager. I was told my vehicle was inline to be looked at the following day. I let the new service manager know that I was renting a vehicle and needed to get my vehicle repaired as soon as possible as we were leaving the area. The service advisor assured me that he would do his best. Over the next 24 hours I had to call throughout the day to try and get an update, finally on the I was told that the vehicle was repaired, and the oil change was conducted as well. I told the service manager that I was on my way to pick up the vehicle and drop off my rental to avoid further charges. When I picked up my vehicle, I found out that they did charge me for the oil change and only swapped the coil and or coil wire from cylinder one to cylinder 3. I was disappointed to say the least and even further upset when I drove off the dealer lot and the vehicle started to sputter. I called the service manager and reported that I felt that I had received poor service as after one week the vehicle was not repaired and they moved the issue from cylinder 1 to cylinder 3. I expressed my disappointment that as the technician had the parts the technician could have replaced the components and resolved the issue. The service manager agreed that it would have made more sense to replace the coil while the parts were off the vehicle. The Service advisor informed me that he was new and dealing with a lot of issues and that he would see what he could do as I was leaving the area and could not extend my stay. I never received a call back from the service manager. I then drove the vehicle home as it was intermittently sputtering, and no engine warning light was one. I then brought the vehicle back to Jim Ellis and asked them to fix the vehicle I am extremely disappointed in the Sales and Service provided by Unity Cadillac. read more

I had my car towed to Unity Chevrolet because I had a leak in my coolant hose. They wanted to charge (over charge) 761.44 so I called around for reasonable pricing. The mechanic was very disrespectful when I asked what was wrong. He was like your trying to get it done somewhere else and I said your right. He told me come pay your 219.00 diagnosis fee and get your car rudley. He also told me my car was taking up space, rushing me to make up my mind. They took $259 not $219. I had my car towed to another car shop. I never had a bad experience there before. I will tell all my friends and family about my bad experience and not to patronize them. The service department here is a joke. Took it in for a fog light repair under warranty. They tried to pry the housing out of the front, somehow not knowing that it needs to be removed from behind. The lying service agent named Kenny called me to say that the truck was badly damaged. I asked him if he was calling the right customer as there was no damage to the vehicle. After we hung up, he ran and took pictures so he could claim I brought it to them that way. Problem was the time stamp on the photos was 15 minutes AFTER he called me. Service manager said he was going to pull the video to see what happened and that was the last I heard from them. They did $4200 damage! If you value your vehicle then avoid this criminal outfit or you'll regret going there like I do. read more

I have to say last year I did business with this dealer and they were amazing !! From sales to service. We recently tried to buy a car here and every time you call they have an answering service with a guy name Kevin who does not transfer you to sales and cannot help you. We called 4 times in one day and got the same answer . Finally went to the dealer after much back and forth and they won't give you prices just playing with numbers felt like a total scam!! Worst car buying experience of my life. Poor communication on the part of everyone with the exception of Danny, the Sales Manager. The salesman would not provide me with my final monthly payment before I came to pick up the vehicle. He removed my plates from my old truck the second I got there, before I even knew what my payment would be. The finance manager tried to add an extra $1k to my out of pocket expenses and when I called him out on it he said "Sorry, I was just trying to make some extra money for the dealership". I really wish I would have walked away at this point. Included in my payment was an accessory that had to be ordered. The parts department apparently has 1 employee, so good luck finding out if your parts came in. The service department was just as bad. Got transferred back to the operator 3 times while trying to make an appointment, at which point the operator said I should make the appointment online. I said I'd rather speak to a person, so she transferred me again and I was hung up on. At one point I told the operator that working with this dealership has been the worst experience I've ever had, and her response was "yeah, same here". When I arrived for my appointment, the service advisor insisted I leave my truck for a whole day to complete a 1 hour job that I had an appointment for. Then, to put the icing on the cake they never paid off my lease that I returned to them. When GM started calling looking for an additional payment on my old lease plus late fees, I called the dealership to find out what was going on. They told me I'd have to come back (the dealer is about an hour from my home) because they forgot to have me sign some of the paperwork. They said they couldn't get a title or do anything with my old truck unless I sign the papers. Meanwhile, the truck has been for sale on their website for weeks. When I said no that I wouldn't come back, they forged my name on a document and dated it 15 days after I returned the vehicle. I'm not sure if I should be contacting the local police or an attorney at this point. They're shady enough to forge my name on a document, who knows what they could do with my personal information that they have. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! I wanted this to be a good experience and hoped that I could refer friends and family to them but I would not send my worst enemy here. read more

My dealings with unity, Cadillac have been worse than a nightmare I would never get callbacks could never get anybody to answer the phone. The lease on my car was coming due and I called to see if they would let me out early. The operator connected to me to one of the managers who was excellent. He explained to me all the older managers are no longer there and there's almost been a complete sweep of everybody who worked there. He made me what I consider a wonderful offer and I ended up getting a new Cadillac, I could not believe how good the service was and it looks like they're going to be back to being a great outfit. I saw a 2017 Chevy Malibu advertised on their website I inquired about it. An employee texted me that the car was still available MULTIPLE times and even reached out to me to confirm I was still available for an appointment. I drove an hour there for a sales person to tell me that the car got sold a week ago and I am the third person in a week to show up for the car. Called on Friday about Ram Truck for sale, told they had it. I made an appointment for Saturday 10am. I was called at 8:30 am to verify I was coming. I arrived at 9:45am was assigned salesman Peter. He took some information and he would bring the truck out. After 15 minutes he comes back and said oh sorry we sold it yesterday. Had to get an estimate there for damage to a vehicle. Got the vehicle repaired, and still issues. Met with the mechanice who did the original work and he had an attitude. Was not responsive on fixing the issue. Had to keep going back and no response. No call backs and mechanic seemed very annoyed. Manager is nice but didn't follow through either. It is frustrating for the staff and the customer to have to keep going back and getting no response or not have the issue addressed. read more

Such a shame how much this place has fallen apart. I have purchased three vehicles from them over the years and they have gotten worse and worse in that time. I went there for a repair that should have cost between 400-490.00 dollars tops and the charged me 1300.00. After charging me 189.00 + tax so over 200.00 to just look at it. Fine I let then do the repair. Then they tried to sell me four news. Two of which I bought from them in the past 6 months and they are fine. Then they told me I need new brakes fact is I don't. They have another 50k left on them. Lastly they tried to convince me I had an oil leak which I didn't. The motor oil they talked about with me wasn't my oil as I use only synthetic oil which is purple in color. Lastly they said it's been leaking for months. Made an appointment to have my truck serviced for a transmission flush first thing in the morning for a GM known issue. I purchased my truck almost a year ago , I still have the power train warranty. Christian the service advisor said I would still be charged for services done to the truck. He knew nothing of this issue although GM put out a bulletin how to fix the transmission issue. I was told i would be called once The truck was done. 4pm no call. I called and I was told the truck wasn't looked at yet. I would be contacted the next day. Day 2. No contact made I called at 12 pm and was directed to his voicemail. I called back , the receptionist got him on the phone. I was told the truck wasn't going to be looked at until the next day. I started to see a pattern. I said put my keys in my truck and I'm taking it somewhere else ! What is the point of making an appointment when they just brush you off and avoid calling you. They think it's ok to hold onto your vehicle like we don't need it to get to work or kids to daycare. Sorry to inconvenience you by making an appointment and expecting a professional and courteous experience. Took it to a different Chevy dealer and had an excellent experience and everything under warranty. Unity also messed up my title and I'm scared they didn't fix it yet , and I tried to email there customer service and I'm blocked Wouldn't recommend anyone to Unity Chevy. read more

After arriving early for my appointment and waiting for someone to help me the salesperson finally came over. She goes to look for the vehicle and is gone and extended amount of time. She finally returns apologetic first telling me about another salesperson having the keys. Then she tells me it was just delivered today. I finally ask was the truck sold and she said yes. I do not care that someone bought the truck. That is how it goes. I care that at $4.00 a gallon I made a wasted trip when I had an appointment. In today's world on some tablet or computer screen, I would think it would pop up I was coming in to see it. Then she askes me if I am interested in anything else on the lot? Unity Chevrolet are complete and utter Rip Off Artists! I recently brought my Silverado 1500 truck in for a repair of the overhead storage compartment and touch screen. Unity had my truck for 4 days just for a diagnoses, never keeping me up to date, communicating, providing status, etc. I had to do all the inquiry. Finally, they get back to me with a $2500 estimate! I start asking questions, and Unity could not give me clear or concise explanations as to the repair job, why so much $$, who diagnosed so I can discuss with them, etc. I ultimately decide to take my truck back and get a second look, and Unity wants a $375 diagnose fee, when they originally told me $79 on the phone??!! Here is the kicker..., I then take my truck to Marchese Chevrolet, where I originally bought the truck. Marchese quotes me $7 for new screws to secure the overhead compartment, and is working on GM for a recall at no charge for the touch screen. So Unity, any explanations now?? CUSTOMER BEWARE when dealing with Unity, I will never ever step foot on their property again, and will inform all my friends, colleagues, and family not to do so either. Complete lack of truth, transparency, communication, service, you name it with Unity Chevrolet. The place looks great when you walk in, but a disaster immediately afterwards. 1 month ago I met Jason in sales and within 24 hrs I was in my first new Chevy Silverado (was always a Ram truck owner). Jason was awesome, so 5 stars to him but what's to come I'd rate less than 1 star if I could. 2 days ago, truck wouldn't start and had to jump start it. Same day, I received a notification from Onstar saying there was an airbag issue and I'd need to schedule a service appointment within 1 day. I went online and scheduled my appointment the same day for the following day(Monday). I dropped the truck off and was told it would probably need to be kept till the following day. I was confused since they had not even looked at it yet. How can anyone be told any time frame if no one knows what's wrong? Ehhh... Figured ok, I'm OK with that. Tried calling later on the afternoon and was told the truck could be done by the end of the day. I received a call from service in the early evening and was told they had great news, "a tech had been assigned to look at my truck and the tech would be diagnosing on Tuesday morning!" That's great news?! Not for me since I needed my truck to help family move. So I wait, and come Tuesday morning, tried calling service to get an update. No one answered the service line and I got their voicemail. I waited an hour, called again, and yep, voicemail again. My wife called again and asked to speak to a manager, and did speak to someone who didn't know what was going on with my truck. Not acceptable at ALL! Still no answers as to what is wrong with the truck. We called again and spoke to a sales manager who said he would get an answer for us and call us back.. Yep... No call! I took off work to drive there and get my truck back so I could bring it to another dealer. I get there and was told my truck is in the shop and being looked at. I was finally informed that there is an ABS issue causing a short and they had to get GM engineering involved to try and fix the issue. WHAT!!! A brand new truck and now I have to worry eveytime I'm driving it that the two most important safety features-airbag and ABS might fail or cause an accident! Hell nooo...I was offered a rental car but they didn't have anything available on their lot. I would have to go to Hertz and pick it up. I call Hertz to make sure they have the rental car, and I was told I'd have to provide a credit card that they charge $200 on to make sure the car is returned but I'd be refunded once it is. Soooo... No thank you! Now I'll have to struggle financially to get out of this truck and into something that will give me peace of mind. read more
