From the moment Dr. June Sadiq walked into the room, I could tell he was genuine, compassionate, and truly cared about his patients. He took the time to listen, answered every question thoroughly, and made my grandma feel comfortable during a stressful time. What stood out most was that he never made us feel rushed. He was attentive, thoughtful, and kept checking on her throughout her visit, which meant so much to our family. When I asked if he could speak with my daughter over the phone to explain my grandma's test results, he didn't hesitate. He patiently went over everything, answered all of her questions, and made sure she understood the situation completely. That level of kindness, patience, and professionalism is rare. Dr. Sadiq is truly a gem. UCI Medical Center is incredibly fortunate to have him as part of its team. Thank you for treating my grandma with such compassion and dignity. We will never forget the difference you made.

At first, because I was in significant pain and going in and out of sleep, I didn't fully understand what was happening. As I became more aware of my surroundings, I noticed nurses were continuing to bring other patients back, while many of us remained waiting for hours. I eventually understood that patients were being prioritized based on who the nurses felt needed immediate attention, which I understand is necessary in an emergency department. However, if someone is considered stable enough to wait for that many hours, there should be better communication and a more organized process to keep patients informed and comfortable. The waiting room chairs are extremely uncomfortable, especially for someone experiencing significant abdominal or back pain. The discharge process was another major issue. It seemed like you had to repeatedly follow up with the front desk just to find out what was happening. If you didn't follow up, you could easily end up waiting even longer. There needs to be a clearer and more efficient discharge process so patients know what to expect. I want to make it clear that I do not blame the nurses. In fact, the nurse who initially checked me in was amazing. She was kind, professional, and clearly doing the best she could under extremely difficult circumstances. My frustration is with the system and the amount of responsibility being placed on the nursing staff. They appear to be overwhelmed and overworked, and that directly affects the patient experience and customer service. I am honestly shocked that a healthcare system allows patients to wait this long in pain without a more effective process in place. I understand that emergency departments are unpredictable and that patients must be prioritized according to medical need, but there still needs to be a better way to communicate with patients, provide comfort, and manage the waiting and discharge processes. I hope this feedback is taken seriously--not as criticism of the nurses, but as an opportunity to improve the system for both patients and staff. Nurses should not have to carry such an enormous workload, and patients should not feel forgotten simply because they are waiting for care.

A special shoutout to Rayleene Miranda, who assisted me--she was incredible! She made me feel comfortable and reassured during a stressful time, and her wonderful personality made all the difference. Thank you all again for the exceptional care and support. I even cried there because I was going through so much physical pain due to a freak accident injury, so they were very kind to me. Made me comfortable since I was scared and I went alone during my visit. I was quite scared and didn't know what was going to happen, but I felt very taken care of. Meds were given immediately, and I was checked up on.

I explained that the Dr prior gave me the run around for months and he suggested we try a different approach before going to surgery. He said he's had great success and results and I said I was willing to try. Although I was not expecting to have this procedure done right then and there. So we casted my foot and now we wait 3 weeks with no weight bearing, they even gave me crutches. I didn't have to wait for another day or authorization or copayment he just took care of me and I was in an out in an hour. He also explained that this is not a guarantee that it will work and I was ok with that. So we are hopeful this does work and I won't have to have surgery. The female receptionist behind the glass on the left was nice, smiling, and patient towards me when I explained what I was there for (foot infection). After the filling out paperwork. I waited an hour before I was called into a room and seen by this male nurse/ male assistant who checked my blood pressure and such. Good experience with him. Although his demeanor was a bit urgent but nothing extreme to where I was bothered. Just an observation. And then around 11:00am I saw Dr. Simon Yao. My experience with doctor Yao was great. He was patient and had no sense of urgency while being attentive and communicating with me, asking a lots of questions about my condition so that he can understand the best way to help me at that moment. I just really appreciate how he communicated with me. He cleaned my foot sore/ foot ulcer and explain to me how to properly clean my foot when I got home. I was prescribed with antibiotics. I was there for about 2 hours. I left at 12:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Staff was great. The facility and cleanliness, in my opinion, was good. No trash on the floor. Little to no dirt on the floors that I noticed. Bathroom was clean. Unfortunately. During my time there. They were out of toilet paper. Or paper towels. I can't remember which. So I would say the general cleanness deserves an A. The waiting room space. They were about four or five other people sitting in waiting room with me. It was spacious enough for five people to where I didn't feel cramped. But I assume any more than that would be a bit cramped. So I would say the waiting room is not on the large side. Plenty of seats but the room size was perhaps a "medium". Lastly. Phone service was also a good experience when I called the day before to see if they were open on Saturday. I would say this is my go-to urgent care. Great experience. Thank you. Dr. Simon Yao and staff.

It was empty inside, but then someone a little bit later asked if I had been helped. I sat on one of the couches so I can lift my leg up because it was hurting so bad. I got dropped off and then took an uber home because I wasn't sure how much it would hurt after and since I was already in pain I figured it was safer. First they did a simple test then the EMG test with needles. I just gotta tell you it hurt like hell. The nurse that took me back was really sweet and friendly and sort of talked me through the process before the dr came in to do the EMG test. When the dr came in she was nice I couldn't tell if she was being all the way nice or not but she did answer all my questions and told her all my pain and symptoms she made a note for my neurologist. When she first put the needles in my arm it wasn't bad but then she got to my leg and that oh my gosh hurt like hell. I couldn't handle it cause of how bad it hurt. She couldn't do more cause it was too much for me. But she did get enough of a reading she said to send to my neurologist at least. I see a lot of bad reviews for this place, glad I didn't look at them before i went lol. But glad they took me seriously and tried to help me as best as they could and appreciate the kindness of the nurse bringing me a warm blanket since it was so cold in there. I didn't have a bad experience I would come back again. Hopefully they can give me some answers Have a beautiful day, be kind to all your patients. Aloha

My wife had her well women exam completed by the NP at this location. She has a IUD in place and wasn't sure the date or the type. The NP said that she could electronically message her that information through the EMR. It was only a simple message that was sent to the NP. There was no indication that there would be an charge associated with the online messaging. She logged into her billing portal and found there was an $80 fee associated with this. In all the places I have worked before, never have myself or any other providers or the organizations billed a patient for messages! This is blatant extortion by the people that run UCI health, to take advantage of patients. I am sure there was some training involved to direct this provider to bill for such trivial tasks. Also the facility/doctor fees UCI charges are exorbitant compared to other places. WARNING to future patients, don't go with UCI otherwise you will get a shocking medical bill afterwards!! I plan to fight this and if things don't change, then escalation will be the next course of action (ie news, state representative).
