And the location was great, near to the Amtrak rail station and w/in walking distance to colonial Williamsburg and the College of W&M. I often walked here, but the location was worth it. Admittedly, Williamsburg is neither a poor nor a diverse neighborhood, and the place reeks of history. This was a post office where all the fundamentals were in order. But, what made it memorable? Not much, really. I have trouble conjuring in my mind the layout of this place, despite multiple visits. People got things done fast and efficiently, but they rarely talked to each other. It reminded me of a Deutsche Post in Germany, actually (too bad you can't Yelp Deutschland. Yet ... ) But it would have been nice to meet some more locals.

Put in a complaint ticket for someone to call back and asked for manager to call. Received nothing. Now 2 days later, o. Saturday, received a notification that our delivery would arrive on Monday. Why pay for overnight?! You can't trust them to do thier job for delivery and they down right lie. Ridiculous. I am worried that our livr animals will now be dead when it arrives.

It is centrally located in the Williamsburg area and has plenty of parking...unless there is a protest. There is always additional parking across the street at the shops or next door at the post office. The building itself is gorgeous. It isn't old like the Colonial area, it was built in this century but in the style of the historic area. There is a lot of lawn area to park your chair and additional areas for the speakers to set up shop. You can almost picture the Town Crier stepping out and announcing the Bans.
