Exceptional customer service is becoming harder to find, so when you experience it, it's important…read moreto recognize it! My sister Tiffany and I stopped by this post office in Macon, GA to mail a large number of envelopes, and we were running out of time. JoAnna noticed we were trying to get everything finished and, without hesitation, came over to help us place stamps on our envelopes. She didn't have to do that, but her kindness, patience, and genuine willingness to help meant more than she probably realizes. She was so selfless, understanding, cheerful, and caring. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we got everything mailed on time, and we are incredibly grateful. It's rare to see someone step in with such a positive attitude simply because they want to help another person. I'd also like to recognize her colleague who assisted me while I purchased the stamps. She greeted me with a warm smile, was friendly, pleasant, and professional, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. Thank you both for reminding us what outstanding customer service looks like. JoAnna, your kindness did not go unnoticed, and you made our day! Macon is fortunate to have such caring employees serving the community. Five stars all the way!

A certified letter was sent to Jones County Superior Court in Gray GA from the Bibb Superior Court…read morein Macon GA on 2/5/26. On 2/17/26 it stated "Moved Left No Address." How did the Post Office in Gray GA move and the Court House due to both addresses are on the certfied letter. Called the 800 number today (3/24/26) was of no assistance becasue I could not speak to a customer service rep. but it was of no assistance. However, it stated delivery is taking longer than expected but as of 2/18/26 according to your Confirm Delivery it states the envelope is still at your Gainesville FL distribution Center. This is a very critical issue due to Jones County cannot move forward until they receive the envelope. It is now almost 3/5/26.

Good thing my glass item was inside a bubble tube as I call it. I don't know where they get these unprofessional folks from. I heard it hit the garage when it was dropped. Wouldn't even bother to put it by the door. She was too busy running her mouth on that phone. Please do better. But my regular weekly folks are doing so much better!! The thank you sign in my box is for them.

I want to highlight a very special postwoman/lady name Mrs. Charlie Jackson who drives truck # 32…read more I moved her from Alaska about two years ago back and forth, changed my address a few times. That can be confusing. I went from one unit to another, same complex apartment though. Every time she made sure, I had my mail even when it went to the wrong apartment by other reps. She provides outstanding customer service by going above and beyond what's expected, consistently. I have NEVER in my 50 plus years receive stellar service she provides. The mail flow is definitely off when she doesn't work. Mrs. Jackson carries the biggest and friendliest smile like every time you see her even in extreme weather conditions when it's very hot or very cold. Our mail never gets mixed up when she is on duty. The holiday seasons makes me nervous as theft increases but when she is working it's never been an issue. She pays close attention to details and knows her customers. This is useful when our mail gets mixed up when she is off. The way she goes up and down these stairs is also impressive. Before I moved back to Alaska, I wanted to say thank you ma'am for being as amazing as you have been consistently for the past two years of me living here. You absolutely feel like family to us. My kids and I had at one time three different units and she knew them all and aways made sure we had our mail/packages when mixed up. Thank you and you will be greatly missed.

This is the post office I use most often since it's in my city, and while they get the job done,…read morethe customer service could definitely use some work. I understand that postal employees deal with difficult customers every single day. I've worked in customer service myself, so I know how draining that can be. But one thing I've noticed--not just here, but at post offices in several states I've lived in--is that the attitude often carries over to the next customer. A smile, a simple "How are you?" or a friendly tone can make a huge difference. Instead of making customers feel like they're asking a dumb question, use your experience to help them. For example, if someone asks to mail something one way and it's expensive, explain their options. Saying, "If you ship it this way, you'll save a few dollars," is much more helpful than responding in a way that feels impatient or dismissive. Not every employee is this way, and I've met some very kind postal workers over the years. But the overall experience here often feels rushed and unfriendly. My only wish is this: when one difficult customer leaves, don't let that interaction affect the next person in line. Some of us walk in smiling, treating everyone with respect, and we're just hoping for that same energy in return. At the end of the day, we all need the post office, and I appreciate the service they provide. A little kindness on both sides would go a long way.

Maybe training could help address the lack of etiquette, but it could also be that the people working here were just having a terrible day and decided to take it out on the guests. After waiting a month for my appointment, I was met with attitude and misinformation (including being told certain forms didn't exist). Instead of helping, they made the entire process unnecessarily frustrating and uncomfortable. Maybe consider taking a mental health day before you ruin others. I am in disbelief at how terrible this experience was. Try a different location and use this as a last resort It is actually really funny seeing all of the other 1-star reviews just because this place truly is terrible, haha
