New mail carrier listed my apartment as "vacant" and sent all my mail back to sender, while i was waiting for birthday cards from family abroad. All international mail, checks, no clue where any of it is now. When i asked why i was told "your mailbox was full", but it wasnt. When i asked again i was told "you don't have a nametag on your mailbox", which hasnt been an issue for the past 5 years ive lived here. They told me the new mail carrier is all about following rules. Ok! So then today, my package for vape juice which required a signature of someone 21+ for delivery was put into my mailbox. So its not about rules. You caused me and my family some serious inconvenience and are a wonderful example of needless bureaucracy in this country to cause problems for others while at the same time saying "not my problem". You would think for such a big company they would figure the system out. I sent out a package a week ago still yet to be delivered, which doesn't sound to bad expect I specifically paid for the 1-3 day shipping. I know things can happen and whatever, but if you're going to charge extra to be delivered earlier, you need to stand by that. If you can't guarantee that it will be delivered at that time you shouldn't be charging for it and promising that it will. Not only that but I've watched the tracking ever day and it's just going in circles around where it's supposed to be delivered. Was supposed to be sent straight from ohio to Indiana, maybe a 3hr drive at most. But instead it goes to Columbus, Ohio, then Kentucky, then Indiana, then back to ohio? read more

I happened to be in this area for work so it was most convenient to send my package from this location rather than my local one. I was very pleased to find that it was an easy in and out. It is rare for me to have to actually go to the post office to mail something, so when I do I normally need assistance from the workers. I have always found the workers to be very polite and helpful. They always help me find the least expensive way to ship my items and are very friendly about it. A long line is typically expected at a post office and this branch really isn't different, I think it's unavoidable. Other than that, I have no complaints. read more

This post office has been here and they've always done their job, but I feel like it is the stores policy to help everyone with a frown. It seems like I'm always causing a major inconvenience anytime I go in and try to ship something, and I feel like that is what a post office is for. The employees are always very rude and they seem like they don't want to be there and they don't want me to be there. VERY rude older fellow thought it was ok to bark the same order at me five times, like he knows more about my credit card than my account representative I spoke with prior to our meeting. When I told him to stop he threatened to not take my money. Big deal as I will never support his workplace again. They lose half of what they touch anyway. I will not be harped at instead of pleasantly spoken to. I can't wait till USPS closes all together if they think its cool to be snotty to the only people left supporting them. Looks like they have it coming. UPS was right down the road and they were super nice. I have never written a review for the post office, but this experience was so pleasant I felt it deserving of compliments. Jerry, who helped me, was so kind and courteous. He told me strings on the package wasn't allowed and when I asked if I could tape it, he asked for me and helped hold the package as I taped it. I was expecting him to ask me to step out of line to do it myself. Then he checked the address and told me I wrote it wrong. He even helped correct it for me. He noticed that my credit card wasn't signed and offered a permanent marker to use. I felt like I was in a small town where people weren't too busy to be nice. I arrived at the end of the day, when I expected people to be tired and cranky but this wasn't the case at all even the other customers were nice and held the door for me. Maybe it was my lucky day. Lines are long sometimes, sometimes only a few attendants working, but they are always helpful, always working diligently to get their jobs done. During holidays they have a person that runs a kiosk of sorts that just supplies stamps or postage for anyone paying with an credit card to move the line along quicker. I love the convenience of the automated teller in the lobby that can be used after hours. read more

Well, let me tell you why I won't be returning back to the Nagel location to do so ever again. Yesterday, after a long day at work. My boss hands me a package she would like to me to send out. I rarely send packages so I didn't even think twice about the masking tape on the box. It was secure, seemed OK. After standing in line for 25 MINUTES, the gentleman at the counter said we have a problem with my tape but he may be able to help me out. Then after rattling through the prices and shipping options, I told him I'd just take whatever was cheapest (still $10). He then told me I'd need to provide my own tape for my package. Really? Two seconds ago you wanted to help me, but now I needed to go find some tape and stand back in line. I promptly left and won't ever be returning. So much for civil service... read more

I know they are told to upsell and sell stamps etc. I can deal with that. However, I had a package to pick up. I have shipped over 30,000 packages in my life and frequented quite a few post offices. This one has long waits. That alone I can live with but what is UNACCEPTABLE is that if you have a orange slip and just need to pick up a package you have to wait in the line from you know where. They have a side door but when you knock on it first they do not answer and then if they do they say oh sorry we do not have a scanner so we cannot just get your package and have you sign for it. This is an upscale area and the post office does not even have an extra scanner to service customers quicker and take the load off of the front counter personal. Avoid unless u have no choice trust me. read more

I get other peoples mail and they get mine. My personal experience with this post office is if you order something online, there is a 25% chance that you'll never get it. I only know of this stuff because these packages have tracking numbers on them that are supposed to be delivered to my locked mailbox. Who knows what else doesn't get delivered to me. I've Lived in the area for 3 months and have had 4 packages either never delivered or delivered to the wrong address. read more

On Dec. 9, 2013, I put in a "Forward Mail" request card to the Anderson Branch of the USPS. The mail was to be forwarded to our FL address starting on Dec. 28th. On Jan. 9, 2014 no mail had yet been received. I thought 2 weeks was sufficient time for the forwarding request to be started. I called the Anderson Branch and spoke with a very nice gentleman named Chris. Unfortunately the news Chris gave me was not good. The forward request was not entered for the Dec. 28 date, but just recently entered 5 days ago. Due to this error, all my bills will be paid late with late fee interest charges attached. Of course, the PO will not be responsible for these fees. Chris did tell me that he would make sure the carrier would check our Cincinnati mailbox and forward any mail that had accumulated there. read more

i need to echo and support the review by Robert E. of Cincinnati of the post office in Anderson Township. I have mail delivered without my consent to the administration offices at my apartment complex. The administration folks take absolutely no responsibility for mail and packages left with them. I am a homebound disabled vet and although i have requested delivery to my apartment, mail is continually left in places that I have not authorized. I have a specific address and i am at home at least 99% of the time. I do not understand why my mail is not delivered to my apartment address. I have told the mail people that I will install any devices or receptacles that are within regulation specs but there has been no acknowledgement of my request. This is the worst mail service I have ever experienced. It has progressed to the point that I am seriously considering moving. The number of missing packages is alarming. And, since I cannot pick up my daily mail until someone is paid to pick it up, I really do not have daily mail service. I sure hope that there is a lot of time being saved somewhere. By vehicle, my apartment is less that 2 minutes from the Administration offices. I can assure the Post Office that it is a down hill trip to my apartment so that part is easy and quick. However, the return trip is up a steep hill and that is a major problem for me on foot. My handicap keeps me from driving. Are the delivery schedules for postmen so tight that 2 minutes counts that much? Since when is mail and package delivery locations determined without discussing the situation with a mail recipient. It is fine and laudable for the US Post Office to save time when possible; however, I do not believe that saved time is put to economical use. Have you ever heard of additional deliveries being added to a route in this area? What about improving delivery service with time saved? Terrible service. I will not only avoid this post office but will avoid shopping in Anderson Township altogether. I had taken a package into this post office because I had shopping to do in the area and it was the opposite direction of my regular, friendly and helpful post office. I wait in line and hope for the only clerk who was smiling at people. Not my luck. I take my pre-paid package to the counter for a scan and receipt (I always have international packages scanned to have proof the package was actually handed over to the post office). He claimed he couldn't do it and I would have to wait for one of the others. Still didn't get the friendly looking clerk. 2nd clerk pushes the package back at me and tells me the post office cannot provide a receipt and that because I saved money by printing the label online I'd have to LEAVE IT IN A PILE AT THE END OF THE COUNTER. No one was in line behind me. It was totally ridiculous which I told him. He gets extremely self righteous telling me that it's against the rules and how I was trying to get him to break Post Office rules. He told me my own post office was a bad post office for breaking them! It ended in a shouting match as I left with my package to drive across town where the lovely clerk not only scanned and gave me a receipt but SMILED and joked how nice it would be to hand deliver that package straight to Italy!
