The woman behind the desk, then said very rudely you should make an appointment, which I informed her I tried and it wasn't working, and that these were the walk-in hours, she told me she would not help me. If you're going to advertise walk in hours, you should accommodate people, and If you can't, you should put a sign on the door that says (no passports for walk-ins today) so that a person doesn't spend 15 minutes in line and then get yelled at by a guy and treated badly by the person behind the desk who should be doing her job or at least be kind. I'm not sure why this post office has such a low rating, because it's my favorite! I used to…read moreexclusively go to the Lake Drive location, but it's just too small and crowded. The 3 Mile location is much larger, with a big parking lot that's easy to navigate. The past two times I've visited I've only had to wait a couple of minutes and my experience was quick and friendly. This location seems to be better staffed than the Lake Drive one, which is great since the Lake Drive location usually has a long line. The past two times I've visited here, there have been three people working, when I only ever see one or two people working at the Lake Drive post office. There is a drive-up mailbox outside this location which is much more convenient than the mailbox at Lake Drive since you have to park and get out of your car to access it. The parking lot is free here, but if it's full I'm not sure what your options are as I don't believe you can park on 3 Mile. I've never seen the parking lot full here, though. I will continue to use this post office as it's conveniently located, much less of a hassle to park and access, and has consistently been a quick and enjoyable experience.

As if we are the ones who work there every day. They are rude and condescending. I try to get as much information as I can online before I go here, to try and reduce how rude whoever is working at the desk will be. Basically unless you have a pre-printed, pre-paid label and have everything packed up and ready to go it's not going to be an easy time. One time I needed to tape a package shut. I know I've done that at other post offices before and it's never been an issue. The man behind the counter was so rude. I can understand if that's not something they do, or if they aren't able to tape things for customers, but there was absolutely no reason to be rude about it. In that instance I ended up going home, taping the package, and going back later. It's not the first time I've gone home to fix or change something to avoid having to pay more there. Bring your own tape. Bring your own scissors. Bring your own pens. There was one employee who was very pleasant, but I haven't seen her there in a long time. Which is unfortunate since every other employee I've had to interact with seems to be on a mission to make peoples' lives more difficult. Go to a different location if you can. The folks working in the downtown Rockford location are much more pleasant.
