This post office was marked permanently closed on the Waze App, but I confirmed it is open and fully operating today. The office is bustling, but the professionals working there work efficiently and with kind demeanors. Although there was a wait due to the steady flow of customers, I was glad to wait in such an orderly fashion. The lone Postal Worker, Monica, handled herself like a seasoned pro and got customers through swiftly. When a co-worker joined her, things went even more smoothly, and I got back in line to ask another question to save myself the time and frustration of agonizing through Google search for the answer. I'm glad I did. Monica answered my question and gave me the materials I could use to prepare for my next trip to the USPS and make things even more effortless AND less costly. I've always been a fan of the Postal Workers Union. Like many of our "blue-collar" workers, I feel that postal workers are undervalued and underpaid. They provide invaluable services, usually with a smile. I am most GRATEFUL for my local postal work and for this post office. read more

I visited the post office on 7/2 in the Battleground Village Shopping Center. The woman was late 10 minutes late opening up. Then the woman couldn't get the glass doors to open. She tried to prop the door open and was wearing bedroom slippers. I cannot tell you her name because she was not wearing a name tag. While waiting on customers her computer went down and she had to reboot it. During that time the customers heard a private telephone conversation about her having to much to drink the night before with her boyfriend or girlfriend at this point who cares. After waiting 30 minutes I had to leave. Do better! read more

Slowest USPS I've ever attended. Only one worker at the desk and she had to leave the counter to handle packages. This usually indicates very poor management. Do better USPS. read more

I had an extremely unacceptable experience at this USPS location while trying to verify my identity for a Change of Address request. After being instructed through the USPS online system to verify in person, I followed every step exactly as directed. I brought my barcode, a valid primary ID, and a voter registration card, which is clearly listed by USPS as an acceptable form of secondary ID. From the moment I walked in, the clerk was rude and dismissive. She barely made eye contact, gave me clipped commands like "I need your ID" and "I need the barcode," and made no effort to assist or engage. I had to awkwardly reach across the counter while she sat still. She complained about glare on her screen and then delayed the process by questioning my voter registration card. First she claimed it was expired, then she said "we do not do those up north." She called over a coworker who clearly did not even know what kind of document was being discussed and confused voter registration with vehicle registration. Both employees showed a clear lack of understanding of USPS policy. When I offered to provide a utility bill instead, which is also an acceptable form of secondary ID per USPS, she told me "we do not do those" either. At that point it was clear she was just making excuses rather than following actual USPS guidelines. After stalling and checking with someone in the back, she finally scanned the barcode and completed the process. But even then, she did not confirm anything or give me a receipt. When I asked if it was done, she brushed me off by saying "they probs just gonna send you sum in the mail," giving me no clear confirmation at all. Only after I asked again did she finally acknowledge the process had been completed. This was a simple, routine service that should have taken five minutes. Instead, I was treated with indifference, hit with misinformation, and left unsure if anything had even been processed until I pushed for confirmation. I followed every instruction from USPS to the letter and was still nearly turned away because your staff do not understand your own policies. This kind of experience is unacceptable from any public-facing service, let alone a federal agency responsible for mail and identity verification. read more

They are so slow. The line is always long and they consistently only have 1 person working the desk.

Well they definitely don't open when they say they do. The workers were in the back doing things with a line out the door at 9 am and wouldn't come help people. So don't come early if you want help, because they don't get things booted until way later. Systems aren't up, lights are still off... read more

Hostile Environment. I came to this post office with a stack of Christmas card envelopes to mail. Clerk #86, the young lady who checked me out, said that one envelope had to be shipped as a package because it wouldn't bend. I was confused and asked why. I already had mailed out the same exact same Christmas card and it was mailed as a letter. She then consulted with clerk #21, on the register next to her. She squeezed her fingers on the envelope and agreed. Neither one of them would check the thickness. During my explanation of my experience from mailing my previous cards, Clerk #21 snapped at me and yelled, " Do you want to ship it or not?" Clerk #86 laughed out loud at me. I was humiliated and embarrassed that I was being ridiculed in a hostile manner in front of the whole neighborhood. After Clerk #86 refused to mail my envelope as an envelope, Clerk #21 charged me $5.25 for a (2) two ounce package shipment. I asked to speak to the manager but she would not talk to me individually, between customers. She just talked without even listening to understand what was truly going on. We are so disgusted at the anger and sarcasm that we have to endure at this location. Clerk #86 is out of control and her anger incites trouble within other customers. On a few occasions she had made people so angry that they say threatening things to her when they leave the lobby. I'm afraid that something bad will happen here. I'm going to avoid this location from this point forward. It is hostile and disrespectful to it's patrons. If I go to other post office locations, I am treated with respect and patience. read more

Update- I find the men that work here the ones I have positive experiences with. Haven't met a super friendly woman for whatever reason.

Fast l, friendly and much cheaper to ship than FedEx or UPS. This is my preferred location, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to ship things. The workers are always friendly! read more

A few years ago, my second ever review on Yelp was for a USPS in the suburbs of Chicago. It is one of the worst businesses I've ever been to. I felt I HAD to review this USPS because the experience was so wonderful. All of the people who work there are friendly and helpful. They were in a cheerful mood and actually seemed excited about their jobs! It's so rare to find people like that at *any* business, let alone one funded by the federal government. If I lived in Greensboro, this would be the only USPS I would ever go to! read more

Just because your life sucks personally doesn't mean you bring it to the workplace, as well as having not even a feathers weight of intelligence to share and misdirect. This female employee made it clearly known you down have to write down a unit number or letter for townhouses. Stupid or old? You decide. read more

That's the worst post office ever, really rude young lady working there. I bought a box to return my books, and I was asking the lady for a clear tape and she said that I have to buy. read more

Agree with the majority of the (other) reviewers online who've commented on how friendly and courteous the staff here is, even when the lines are long. I appreciate that they have knowledgeable postal workers present (some of them may be volunteers) walking around the entrance and main areas who ask you about what you need before you stand in the queue & direct you to the right boxes and envelopes. Employees at the counter could be just a little quicker so the lines move even faster, and I wish they didn't have to manually write down each tracking number if you bring it in to find out about a missing package. Wish they had as much capability as their main delivery center to provide more info abt missing parcels, and also wish they had a passport application service, but I guess that would quite unnecessarily overload their staff with work. All in all, in over a year of coming here, I've never faced any major problems. I hope this great customer service experience continues especially because I mail a ton of stuff nearly every month. read more
