I can't believe I am writing this. On July 31, it stated a package that I sent to a relative was delivered. My relative stated she never received the package as it stated, "Your item was delivered to the front desk, reception area, or mail room at 12:45 pm on July 31, 2023, in GREENSBORO, NC 27405." She lives in a newly built house for the past two plus years, therefore there is no front desk, reception area, or mail room. We believed perhaps it was delivered back to the local postal office. With inquires on both our ends, emails sent to customer service, phone calls, online "missing package/where is my package" forms filled out, back and forth with USPS customer service not being able to help us out- we felt completely frustrated, overwhelmed and helpless. No one we spoke to on the phone could tell us the address of this "front desk, reception area, or mail room". There were numerous unprofessional emails being sent to us stating, "you should know where your leasing office is". There is no leasing office! After weeks of back and forth and no help from this local postal office, someone contacted my relative and stated, "a USPS worker will go to the location and take a picture of the package" in which it was "confirmed" the package was sitting at a nearby apartment complex. The worker then gave my relative the actual address and stated, "I will personally deliver this package to you myself". We felt so relieved and optimistic. The following day, my relative decided to go to the given address 25/30 mins away from her home to discover that low and behold, the receptionist states, "a USPS worker came this morning and collected several packages that were here for a few weeks". What a coincidence, right. My relative then goes to this local postal office with her newborn baby by the way, to inquire and possibly pick up the package. As she arrived at this postal office, she had to repeat the entire story to each person she encountered, in which they stated, "your package was sent back to the sender". WHAT? The manager decides to come out and point the blame on me stating it was my fault I sent the package to the wrong address when clearly, the address was handwritten in bold and confirmed my local postal office of the receiver's address. No one helped my relative. He was very rude toward her and dismissive. He never looked in the system to see that the actual issue is her address autocorrected to the mistaken address. Not only that, but there was also no new tracking number as the old one still states, "Your item was delivered to the front desk, reception area, or mail room at 12:45 pm on July 31, 2023, in GREENSBORO, NC 27405." She tried to fill out a form for a refund due to the fact we paid for shipping and if indeed it was being sent back to me, then we would have to pay for shipping with another delivery service. The point is, it has been weeks and I haven't received this "supposedly returned package", my relative hasn't received a package. We don't have a receipt for the package and to show proof of insurance to fill out claims. I feel as though something sketchy is happening at this location. Not to mention, the worker who stated, "I will personally deliver this package to you myself" was in this office and stated, "sorry for not calling you back". If you knew that there was an open case on this package, if you knew you were supposed to "personally deliver" it yourself, why not call my relative and state, "hey, your package is back at the postal office, would you like to pick it up or I can have a worker deliver it to you" as mentioned. Way over $475. This is sickening. This has been going on since July 31. Was the package delivered to the mistaken address, was it actually sent back to me...no! This place needs to be investigated and people should take them to small claims. A lawyer will be contacted regarding this issue. This location needs to be reported to the local news channel and everyone with a missing package needs to have an open case. I wish there was someone to help us! She needs to feed her baby!

    fake delivery attempt

Update (photos included) Sunday, July 17 A "delivery attempt" was made to our address around 4:29 pm. We got a notice from Amazon but didn't get a statement for the watch. We didn't get a statement from USPS. The information stated no access to the property. I reviewed the doorbell camera and cameras located by the carport--no mail carrier. Monday, July 18 On Monday, our camera shows a mailman dropping off 1 of 2 packages at our address at 5:39 pm. My husband goes to the door to retrieve the package. The mailman is walking down the driveway. We received an alert that the second package, a watch, was left at a neighbor's house at 5:18 pm. No notice from the mailman. My husband was also outside walking our dog at 5:11 pm on Monday. We reviewed the cameras, and there was no attempt to deliver a package at 5:18 pm. The notice said we requested that the package be dropped off at a neighbor's house. We recently moved to NC from the West Coast. Why would we ask strangers we have never met to handle our packages? Why drop off one package at our address but drop off the watch at another address? Wouldn't he have dropped off both packages at the "neighbors?" There's a 20-minute gap in time from the first drop-off. I called the customer service line to file a complaint. She asks us what the value of the watch is. The regular price is $400, but we purchased two watches on sale at $55 each. The first shipment arrived with no issues. Tuesday, July 19 9:00 am We arrive at the post office and ask to speak to a supervisor. The clerk rang for him several times, and eventually, she walked to the back to speak to him. She tells us to go to a different door. A man arrives. I ask him his name, and he tells me it's Brian. I ask if he has a badge number. He TELLS ME THAT HE ISN"T ASKING any more QUESTIONS. You can tell right away that he isn't interested in our mail. I asked him whether he had received our claim. His response was I don't check claims. Ok, Supervisor. We tell him our story. I showed him my out-of-state ID to prove that we had just moved to NC. I ask for the name of the postmaster. The Postmaster is Rodney White. We give him the tracking number. He leaves and comes right back to tell us that everyone makes mistakes. He tells us that the geo-tracking shows that the package was dropped off Twenty minutes away at the wrong address. He tells us that the postman will go by the house to try and retrieve the package. Really? Who is going to give back an expensive watch? He is about to slam the door on us when I ask more questions. He TELLS ME again THAT HE ISN"T ASKING any more QUESTIONS. My husband tells him we have the mailman on camera, and they falsified documents. All he could say to us was that I was not answering any more questions. I said to him that the postman had stolen the watch. HE LAUGHED It was the only time he showed real emotion. BAD service and SHADY Delivery practices. Tuesday 10:39 am A man appears at our door. He pretends to ring the doorbell. No alerts and I'm in the front room. He leaves the watch at the door and then begins talking to the camera. He goes on to say that the package was left at his address by mistake. The watch had been open. The cloth was removed from the plastic. Shady, just shady. At 1:22 pm I got a call from Summit Station asking if I had received my package. He mentioned that it stated for the package to be scanned and if the neighbor had returned it. I reported this incident to the consumer affairs for the post office. She knew right away they had pulled this scam before avoid this location 1585 Yanceyville St Greensboro, NC 27405

The office is bustling, but the professionals working there work efficiently and with kind demeanors. Although there was a wait due to the steady flow of customers, I was glad to wait in such an orderly fashion. The lone Postal Worker, Monica, handled herself like a seasoned pro and got customers through swiftly. When a co-worker joined her, things went even more smoothly, and I got back in line to ask another question to save myself the time and frustration of agonizing through Google search for the answer. I'm glad I did. Monica answered my question and gave me the materials I could use to prepare for my next trip to the USPS and make things even more effortless AND less costly. I've always been a fan of the Postal Workers Union. Like many of our "blue-collar" workers, I feel that postal workers are undervalued and underpaid. They provide invaluable services, usually with a smile. I am most GRATEFUL for my local postal work and for this post office.

They are so slow. The line is always long and they consistently only have 1 person working the desk.read more
