I am 78 years old and have owned two businesses in Kalamazoo, Mi, one being a legal clinic and because I am so busy, I have to hire someone to do my shopping. I also have several cats and a Severe Macaw, Sam, who is irreplaceable and have been offered thousands and thousands for him. This date, I went to get his food, Wild Harvest Parrot Advance Nutrition Diet, and I noticed when I took out a small package of crackers that there were hundreds of small bugs crawling around. In shock, I then poured the food in a large bowl and the bugs were crawling all over and up the side of the bowl, etc. I found some larger ones that appear to have turned into worms. I took several pictures but have not been able to use them on this post. I have been in touch with the retailer, Meijer, and told them to immediately take all of this product OFF their shelves and will surely visit the store this afternoon to see if such has been done. I will likewise be posting a case with the appropriate agency. There is no excuse for this and you could see they had been in there for sometime because the food was eaten. Hopefully, my much-loved Sam will not suffer from this negligence. Nauseating that episodes like this happen. read more
