This organization, situated in Fairfield County, as I am, was a good place to start. Two visits in 24 hours to the branch have been very satisfying in terms of service. They even remembered me! Seriously that's a big deal! I immediately saved $144 per year getting rid of my Bank of America checking account and working with this organization. I only wait for a piece of plastic to arrive ( minor inconvenience) so I can start to resume my normal life with only one Financial institution in place. They've been pleasant to deal with and actually remembered me from day one today to day two! That in itself is remarkable in this day and age where corporate and banker greed is starting to take over our society! Peace out!

My family has been with this bank at various branches in NYC since they were called First National…read moreBank of New York. I personally would not put a dime with these people. I have to go there, as my 90 year old mother and I have a joint account. This branch is staffed by people are not overly competent. Citi's online system is terrible, very unfriendly to a senior citizen. My mom messes up her password frequently, and Citi is one of the hardest to recover. And you can't force the browser to remember the password, like every other bank I use. When I had to get a new debit card, they swore to me it would be sent overnight. After visiting the branch TWICE when it never showed, I finally just called the main call center. They looked it up and said it was sent regular mail. Got it in 7 days. The branch either lied, or was incompetent. I went in today to get a "medallion" signature guarantee. The said wait about 5 minutes. I heard one of the tellers ask another person to tell the manager someone was waiting. The manager was talking to her daughter according to the teller. After more minutes, someone else came out and said she was with a "client" and it would be a few more minutes. Hmmmm. I walked in there about 5 minutes after it opened, I really doubt a client was in there. I gave up, drove 15 miles to my Fidelity office in Fairfield where they greeted me professionally and took care of business with zero delay, thanked me for coming, had a WSJ to read with fresh coffee. That is service. Also, when trying to call the branch at 9:01, they don't answer. Tried several times. Customer service is not one of Citibank's strengths. I am not sure what is, other than lots of branches. Stay away. Stick to a local bank.

I made a check deposit and they put it on hold and it is now going to take several days to receive my full deposit. I never have any issues with other branches. in fact the couple of issues I've had with deposits in a span of a decade it is always when I go to this particular branch. They are either that incompetent or they believe they have the authority to tell me when I can or cannot have my money. No matter what the reason is, it is unacceptable. If you want to save yourself from frustration don't go to this branch. They are horrible.

ive always had my reservations about Citibank. Their constant fees, the constant overdrafts, but…read morethis situation tops the cake. Decided to go to this location to cash a check. Never have i ever had an issue cashing a check with Citibank but today I guess wasn't looking bright for me. The teller asked for the check, studied it for less than a minute and said okay, do you have an account? I said yes and she stated that she needed me to put my debit card in. I did so only for her to tell me....yeah sorry I cant cash this. it's a non Citibank check. she told me I had to go to the bank that wrote the check. A good 30 MILES away from my home. I said fine and walked out, stirring no commotion. I then called Citibank customer service where the gentleman told me that this particular location has NO policy in place that says I couldnt cash a non citi check. He actually stated that their policy says that the limit for non- citi checks would be $5000. That's nice bc my check is half that. so no issue right ? so he wondered why the teller stated that she wouldn't do it. He told me to then go back to the location after he put a note on my account and ask to speak to a manager. This is where it gets juicy I went back and turns out they closed at 4. so lovely. I then had to deposit the check using the atm, which in the first place I never wanted to do and now i have to wait for my money to clear and then go back tomorrow for a 3rd time....to withdraw the money. I will be speaking to a manager and am seriously considering closing my account. Enough is enough. stop banking with people who don't care about losing your business, or even care to do their jobs correctly. Why should i have to return a 3rd time when you coulda just did your job right the FIRST time.
