Half an hour later, and responding to all of his questions, he told me I needed to call back to 'remind' the bank of this request. So despite the stupidity of this request I did call back the day before the trip. the person said she was 'hopeful' my request would be honored but since it was a holiday weekend, she couldn't promise. so on vacation I inserted my card in the hotel atm only to be told the bank 'could not process this'. went to five other atms only to be given the same message. it is not fun being on vacation and not having ready access to my monies. over the next 4 days, and spending a total of three hours talking to different clerks, I thought it was finally straightened out. but again today I get the same "fraud alert" to make matters further infuriating, I was blamed for the problem because I had initially responded to the alert asking if it was me who withdrew the requested amount. Since I hadn't received the money, I responded with N ( it was told I should have responded with Y. Rather than accept the blame I informed the clerk that perhaps the question could be better worded, like "did you attempt to withdraw? I do hope mr M and Mr T actually read this and respond directly to me. I would like to ask them, since the bank is so friendly if not incompetent, whether they will reimburse me for the 3 hours of lost vacation time.

In addition they have two drive up windows to expedite service. The branch is always very clean and everyone is very nice and helpful. During these days obviously a mask is required for service. Avoid Called…read morecustomer service w a simple question regarding an error they made but was disconnected twice. Phone chain pretty lengthy-more so than most. On 3rd try they did not recognize my social security # OR my line of credit acct # which i was reading from my statement. Once i got to a rep he said that to fix the problem caused by their error i had to physically go to the branch. Some customer service in 2023.! Got a supervisor who reiterated this. I asked him 3 times to confirm that they could not fix the problem but he stubbornly repeated his same mantra w different semantics. Would have been very easy to say " Yes" but he was more interested in repeating the mantra 3 or 4 times-a classic failure to acknowledge customer frustration. Conclusion: -Database is weak -Customer service not empowered to correct errors even those made by the bank -cust service line routinely hangs up on customer ( no call back) -supervisor not customer friendly All this for an error made by the bank w no ability or interest in solving the customer problem. 40 minutes to no resolution. The new bank manager Andrea needs to be fired ASAP. She has no personality and is completely unprofessional. She would not even talk to my mother and i until after she found put we had a business account with them. Long lines and no tellers and she can't even help out the half hour waits. Also since my works business account is here I am forced to deal with this bank until they decide to stop dragging there feet and change. Never the less we get charged fees for handling cash deposits and fees if we write out too many checks. Uh hello it's a business! Annnnnnd checks take up to 3-4 days to clear.
