We have been putting off writing a review because we wanted to share pictures after completing our backsplash. Neither of us write reviews very often, but this job was such a huge success so we needed to give them props. We are just going to list off what we liked... 1. Our kitchen is larger than a standard kitchen where all the other shops quoted needing 2 slabs to get the job done. Budget was the only shop that recommended using a Jumbo slab for our kitchen which saved us $$. 2. All we had to do is text Ian a picture of our kitchen layout to get a quote. We had a quote that same day. 3. Phone conversations were great! We had some questions about the edges and the free kitchen sink size (30" vs 32") they were including and they were responsive. 4. Easy process to get the ball rolling. All we had to do to get job going was put down 50% of the cost to have measurements done the following week, then they were out installing the countertops 2 weeks after that. 5. They showed up to install when they said they would. We were told installers would show up between 8-9am and they arrived at 8:15am and were done with our install about 4 hours later. 6. Cleanliness was exceptional - they even put cloth down to protect our flooring. 7. Our experience was so great and have been telling our friends about them if they ever need new countertops. 8. We are going to copy and paste this review into Google as well to get the word out. Once they put it in, it looked great but there were a few small, weird marks from when they installed it, and I had to do the sink, gas and faucet hookup myself - which I knew in advance. I did need to ask them to redo the caulking since it was yellow/almond and the countertops and backsplash were white. The sub who came was actively uncool but the folks at the office were perfectly fine to deal with. Overall I'd rate their service 7/10, their quality 8/10, and their value 8/10. Unlike most of them, Natalie was so chill and no-pressure as I browsed. I really appreciated that. Because of that, I trusted her with my business and went with her installers as well. Now her installers.. I was so nervous because I just put my faith in them to make 2 slabs work somehow on this large project with a fairly complex sink and faucet set up. They crushed it. What they did is literally a WORK OF ART. The symmetry, the precision. This is the centerpiece of my house now, where everyone likes to gather round. He was obviously in a rush - none of the tiles are cut straight, he spilled grout and mortar on the tiles that he didn't clean up so it's dried on and won't come off, tiles are not sloped properly so water pools and doesn't drain properly. When we first noticed there was an issue and brought it up to him he yelled at my husband and said he was just going to walk away with our money and not complete our shower (my husband simply asked him to fix the issue and wasn't rude and we were floored at the extremely harsh response we got). He was the one who built the shower walls and tried to blame the crooked tiles on the walls that they built!!! Then when we noticed the water pooling on the shower floor his wife let it slip that he never water checked the pan (that he built) before tiling and then blamed usfor not asking them to water check the pan (I'm the customer, I shouldn't have to babysit and make sure they do their job!). We now have a non functional shower and will have to pay thousands to get it ripped out and redone. after several attempts to get them to fix it they flat refused and so we had to get a lawyer and we were going to try to use small claims court to try to recover our money so we could get the shower fixed but they've obviously been sued before (just look up their CCB number - I wish we would have done this, and you'll see they have several claims against them) and they requested a jury trial and counter sued us because We had originally wanted them to tile the shower and the fireplace but after the awful shower job we didn't want them to touch the fireplace so they were suing us for not letting them tile our fireplace. They created a water problem in our home and cost us thousands of dollars. We were having Sheetrock work done at the same time and even the Sheetrock guy (who was here working at the same time) was saying that it was the worst tile job he'd ever seen and mentioned that they built the shower all wrong. These people are criminal and will steal your money!!! RUN RUN RUN!!!!!
