I explained to her everything we just been through and she was just evil and seemed like she was judging me for being a heavily tattooed man. I can't begin to tell u how f-ing horribly we were treated. Literally, like we were drug smugglers. They said no need to get a tag for my service dog, Clementine, when we were at chk in 4 in the flight. I protested and said I need some sort of tag, and the front desk agent said no need. I even asked the Mgr they said no need. Lord......the whole flight they said I didn't check her in, I have to be the last off the flight, kept staring me down ( literally stared at me for 5 min), every hour would say my service dog wasnt supposed to be there. They would barely serve us...and we were in 1st class. Right b4 takeoff some rep runs on the flight and says my service dog isn't authorized. First time flying United for me. We treated ourselves to First Class, round trip from Lihue to SF, and back to Lihue. Check in at both airports went fine. No delays, thank goodness. The first plane we had, I enjoyed the reclining flat seats. Wow, I could actually lay down on a long flight. Attendants were great. Service was great. Enjoyed the food and drinks. That hot fresh baked cookie on both flights were amazing. Hot, crispy on the outside, and soft in the middle. Hot cookies on both flights. On the way back, a different type of plane and seats. No reclining flat. Disappointing. But the food was even better. I've never had hot nuts before. Meal was great. Enjoyed that hot cookie. The entire flight was good. Thank goodness for no screaming kids in first class. We definitely will fly first class again in the future, as we had several times before on other carriers. read more

Wish I could give zero stars our plane was delayed in Reno. We were going to Hawaii we got to San Francisco late which they said we would make our trip to Hawaii. We missed our flight. We had to spend three hours in line just to get a room to book other flights finally after three hours got our room got up in the morningwent back flew from San Francisco to Honolulu and we get there and our Honolulu to Kauai was not booked and we lost that plane as well. It was the worst fucking experience in my life will never ever lie on this plane again. read more

I flew from Colorado Springs to home in Hawaii upon checking in for my flight the attendant informed me that I wasn't allowed to take on a carry on and a personal item she then told me that she will be charging me 70.00 extra mandatory charge she then tells me I'm only trying to help you out I asked her how she then told me they will charge me at the other gates if I do it from here it will go to your final destination the catcher is this I get to the gate and the agents there starts going through there procedures and they asked not tell we have a full flight today if there is anyone whom would want to check in your bags we can do it at this time for no charge to you there were 5 people whom checked in there bags.this happened at every single flight no charge second flight from Denver to lax the gate agents also told the customers they will also not allow you to get on with the second group if you check in your bags at no charge now 4 people checked and the final problem is I prepaid for my meals on the flight beforehand and they had never gave me any of my meals or drinks I looked at my account and they had charged me read more

Well what can I say. They got me to my destination alive. That was probably the best thing about this flight. Cramped and full. We arrived an hour early but no good deed goes unpunished as our captain said we had to sit on the run way for an additional hour an a half before we could get in our terminal. While we were waiting we asked for drinks but was only offered water. Our connecting flight was suppose to have an hour in between but we had to run to make it on time. I won't be flying with United again. This plane is a prison. A couple months ago this airline was in the news for dragging a customer off the plane, in our case let won't let us off. read more

Foul, absolutely embarrassing. After paying $2135 for 5 NONSTOP tickets to Hawaii. United airlines changed our flight 4 times in the last 24 hours. To a REDEYE flight with a two hour layover. Unacceptable. I called and while I explained the situation asking for compensation I was transferred to THREE yes THREE different representatives. They explained to me the only way to get compensation is through the "customer service website," which takes 7-14 BUSINESS days for a response so could be up to three weeks. We already had to pay an additional $150 to stay later at our hotel just for the flight. A multi billion dollar company with no customer service. I recently took my dream vacation to Hawaii and on the way home stopped in Las Vegas for 2 nights to break up the trip. Another disappointing experience with United. They mishandled our brand new Britax stroller. Throwing it with so much force that they broke the aluminum frame in half. At baggage services filing a claim where they are telling us that there is little hope that they will do anything to make this right. Never flying United again if they don't make this right. We had a family of nine . We were checking in our bags, to head back to California. The older gentleman that assisted us , told my sister that they go off of tips. My sis was hesitant because the gentleman only moved 5 bags, 4 feet away. She gave him $3. The gentleman then found me and informed me the same thing. (They work for tips). He also informed me that my sister only gave him $3 and that it was not enough. I did not have any small bills. He saw that I had a 10's and 20's in my hand. Hope to never have to fly United out of this airport again. Service was HORRIBLE!!!! The gate agent seemed like she had no clue what she was doing. We had to walk through half the outside to get to the plane. Never had that happen before. To make matters worse we flying a group of four of us and two of us had someone else sitting in our seats. The flight attendant was rude and seemed like he was annoyed when I tried to get help solving the seating issue...which might I add never got resolved. My daughter who is a minor had to end up sitting next to someone else on an overnight flight despite me being assured that she would be sitting next to me. Despite the sign on the back of the seat stating the seats have in seat power outlets, THEY DO NOT ! Then they wait half an hour into the flight to announce there is no WiFi on the flight and for those sitting in the exit rows who have in seat power outlets, DO NOT USE THEM. This was by far the worse flying experience I have had. I called United Customer Service and told the agent I spoke with the ridiculous experience I had. She apologized and told me to send a message on the complaint app to receive compensation for what I went through. The 1 star is for the direct flight from SFO to Lihue. That's it. At the Lihue airport, although my spouse is a UA premier silver member, and we have the UA Explorer card, they made us pay for a 2nd piece of luggage. Ok, so what? But, every time we have traveled with 2 bags, if there's any question, our fee has been waived. Also, we are a family of 3, traveling together, but not seated together (2 adults, 1 child) as we were booked in a group reservation for my spouses company. Somehow, at indoor check-in luggage, Agnes and Rose told us that my spouse's confirmation for the ticket was different than that of mine and my 5 yo - even though I had the printed confirmation where we were all listed. Agnes was practically reluctant to even check us in because we were booked with a group of 12, then told us she could not change our seats so the 3 of us could travel next to each other as a family, because she had to check with the other members of our group. Really?! I asked for her manager, and first she said she was the manager, then after more of her customer service prevention, I asked again for her manager. Now she brought Rose to talk to us who just told us "whatever Agnes told you is the way it is." She did also inform me that I could call United Customer Service, tell them about the bag charge and see if we could be reimbursed. Sorry Rose, this review is worth my time, trying to get a $25 bag fee back from UA, is not. They just didn't want to help us out in anyway, and told us to arrange the seat switch ourselves since we were booked as a group...I was also shocked that my spouse's boss, who is GLOBAL ALLIANCE with United was also charged for a second piece of luggage. And thumbs down for the "stewardess" with short blond hair, who was slumming it in the back for a brief moment. When I asked her for something, she replied, "I don't know where they keep that, I'm just here getting some supplies for UP FRONT" (translation, I don't deal with people like you, commoner...it's not in my job description). She did adjust her attitude a bit, and asked me where I was seated, and had another flight attendant deliver what I had asked her for. the worst customer service...we spent almost 2 hours and spoke with 3 united airlines reservationists who lacked training, knowledge and basic understanding of a simple question we had asked 8 hours before the flight! due to medical condition we needed to know if good would be available for purchase onboard his flight tonight from lihue (lih) to san francisco (sfo) we called and were informed by two different reservationists (both based in united airlines manilla call center) that "no, no food no snack service on the flight" and the other reservationists assured us there would be food (sandwiches and snacks) available for purchase. when we realized we received conflicting answers to our very specific questions we called the premier desk at united airlines and spoke with "joy" in manilla who confirmed there would be food available for purchase onboard his 5 hr non stop flt. frustrating i spoke to my son once he boarded and learned there was no food, no snacks for purchase whatsoever! i called back to united airlines & spoke to tracy in the premier desk in chicago who was equally uninformed, poorly trained. she failed to recognize nor offer any assistance. do not fly united airlines- they do not care about their passengers well being! read more

Ending my honeymoon...Charged me 250 to check two bags, cancelled my flight, switched us to Hawaiian air ( who was awesome, you chumps should take lessons from them) and made it damn near impossible to get a refund for the baggage fees you had no right to collect!!!!! I booked two flights today. The first flight went from San Antonio to Los Angeles. Please seat button that causes the chair to recline did not work. It was very hard and it was a long uncomfortable rod. The next flight was from Los Angeles to Hawaii. It was 5 1/2 hours. The Wi-Fi system was not working on this airplane. Also a plug that would allow you to recharge your phone was broken so not only was there no Wi-Fi/entertainment on the United app that I downloaded but during the flight the phone battery did not charge so it was dead. This meant that I had to wait outside of baggage or a plug at the car rental station area so that I could rent a car. Consequently I was more than two hours late to my hotel and car rental appointment because I could not retrieve the information. To boot my seat 11 was supposed to be a window seat. It was not a window seat it was a wall seat. I asked for help during the flight with these issues and I was told that nothing could be done. I have contacted management and was told to file a complaint via the Feedback at United. So disgusted with this airline hope to never fly them again. :( read more

The worst customer service I have ever had. No help for me or my companions when are flight was down do to mechanical issues. Would not give any of the passengers information on the problem or when it would be repaired. Helped us book on a red eye flight, however with all of the layovers we will be traveling for over 24 hours when we should be home in 8. Now have been waiting on any word from our original flight and other passengers still don't know when and if they will be flying. Even when you take a car for a repair they will give you a time frame for what is needed. Can only say that I will never fly with this airline again. read more
