If I could give zero stars I would... We have bought 2 ADA conversion vans from United Access. The first was at the Redmond location and was a decent experience. The second was at the Sumner location and has been the worst... We will be taking future purchases to other vendors. Please do your research. These vehicles aren't something that anyone buys because they want to... it's absolutely a need. For my family, it's because of my son who is in a power wheelchair. This happens to be the only vehicle that all of my children are in at the same time. Safety is a massive priority for us but particularly for this vehicle. We bought a Toyota Sienna and by the time the first oil change was due... within 4 months and around 4000 miles, the brakes were metal on metal... the heat from this actually started to discolor and warp the rotors... For safety reasons, I had to replace both. I contacted United Access in hopes that they would acknowledge that this should not have happened and possibly make it right... they did not, I was met with invoices showing their third party had deemed everything "green". Maybe I don't know enough about brakes but it seems like a reach that the brakes and rotors went from "green" to needing both brakes and rotors replaced, pretty quickly... This was an expensive repair after just buying an expensive vehicle. It doesn't stop there though... I also made a service appointment because there was a crunching/grinding noise as the conversion ramp deployed and retracted... and the majority of the time, it wouldn't fully retract at all. Nothing like trying to either yank that in floor ramp out or push it back in while it's freezing or raining outside. I was concerned that something was stuck in the tracks and noted that to the service department. At the appointment, they started with their typical troubleshooting at the battery... fine, apparently that was from 2017. They were surprised to find the battery was so old... yet we had just bought this vehicle from them... I guess it was far enough in the "green" when they sold it to us that they also didn't think it warranted a replacement. I paid the $500 to replace that as well and was sent on my way. I had a feeling that wouldn't resolve the issue of the grinding/crunching. I was advised to come back if I continued to have the ramp issues... surprise surprise the ramp still had issues. I called to discuss again and was advised that there would potentially be a discount since it was a return visit for the same issue I had brought it in for the week before... We decided to take the floor off the van to find the noise ourselves... just to potentially save time for a tech troubleshooting... sure enough, the majority of the links that secure the cable for the ramp was crushed and the cable was beginning to be severed. I felt relieved to have found the sound. I took photos and sent them to the service department and put the floor back on. We did not repair it ourselves at the time because we were hopeful that the company would take care of us. Again, I was met with an explanation that they did in fact "fix" the issue and then sent me an invoice with an estimate for $1000ish... zero discount... zero accountability for not looking further into the issue while I was there the first time. Mind you, the first appointment was entire day off of work for me, an hour plus drive each way and the cost of gas. I know that used car dealerships have a bad rap and I should have expected this... but it feels so disheartening to be dealing with, especially when this particular dealership deals in vehicles that are meant for our elderly and/or disabled... they are our most vulnerable and it's clear that this company only cares about the dollar signs. Although they seem to be the biggest/most widely known in our area... there are other dealerships that deal in conversion vans... I would recommend going anywhere else... I know we will in the future. read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! Horrible customer service from Nick. Traveled 2 1/2 hrs to get kneeling fixed on my mobility van, pd almost $600.00. Tried it before I left, it worked, got home would only randomly work. Called and was told "well it worked when you left".. Great thanks for nothing. Went to a custom audio shop in my local area, they found the problem in less than 5 min. Ended up being the back door relay switch, a $30 part. read more

So I never thought I would need a service such as this BUT I suppose many of us are on were once in the same boat. I found that I had a temporary need for an Accessiblilty adapted van and discovered this rather small boutique shop in the outskirts of Sumner Very quickly and efficiently I was equipped with a great Dodge van with everything I needed and more. The staff was outrageously nice and professional. I rent a million cars for all the business travel I do and no one has ever gone over the finer details of the rug I would be renting like the staff at Kersey did. So... If you are EVER in the need for a temporary accessible van OR if you are looking for a permanent answer, please try these folks at they really seem to care.... A lot! read more

I reviewed this company in i BELIEVE 2010. I bought a brand new Ford E150 Van and went to Kersey mobility. It was the Worst experience in the world.I read 2 reviews here that outline the same problems that existed in 2010 when I had to deal with them. They have at least 1 person as salesman that didn't know what the heck it took to put a mobility package together. They did have a nice girl on the counter but she could only echo what they told her to echo. The Owner/manager was a arrogant smart A$$. He started dragging things out. I Told him to deliver or I would have ford put a stop payment on his check if he delayed my vehicle delivery. He went ballistic on my saying I was threatening him and he would take twice as long as he wanted. He stalled delivery on my van. After delivery I had 1 day of use then it quit it had blown a fuse. The next visit to get that fixed he played me one full day from opening to closing and telling me he was working on my van. at the end of the day he says come back tomorrow and we will fix it. This was a repair visit. I swore as long as I live I would warn everyone of this dealer. I spent over $10000.00 with this company. I have repaired this lift, auto doors, and swing seat at least 3 times and the lift a total of 6 times. I had to completely redo the interlocks because they used sticky Velcro to stick the module behind the dash panel where it fell out from. The wires got entangled in the pedals and well it wasn't pretty! and even more irritating having to use emergency escape procedures to exit my van. I am now waiting on return of my hydraulic cylinders from a professional hydraulic company where a constant leak of fluid from day one has finally been repaired. I urge anyone that considers buying anything from them that needs to be installed to go elsewhere. People that treat me like that are not people I would recommend!! 2010 to 2017 with the same complaints tisk tisk looks like they are slow learners. read more

Paid $8,000.00 for an ADA lift and installation into a new full size Ford Transit. The first salesman was very nice but didn't do his paperwork in a timely manner. The second one won't call me back regarding an estimate to convert my bench seats. I have made several trips to their shop in Sumner from my home in Federal Way just to see what is happening with our van, because I'm not getting a call back. I took our van in last Tuesday for our APPOINTMENT...on Wednesday. Today is Friday and was told it would be ready on Monday, however, once again I could not get a call back with status on estimate or how the lift install was going, so...travel to Sumner...they haven't even started. Really!!!! Do Not Recommend them at all!!! Now I wonder what the other 4 reviews said that weren't posted? Will post again once the lift is finally finished. read more

They said it would take 2 hrs to install our EZ lock system. When we got there they said 5-6! They showed us menus of restaurants in the area and said if we called it in they'd pick up. My mother did and told the front desk the restaurant said it'd be ready in 15mins. 25 mins later we asked if it was on the way, and they said, "Oh, we thought they deliver!" Um, it's your lunch system, don't you know? There are only 4 restaurants. So my mother's meal was cold when it got there. But the worst part was: THEY STOLE OUR LICENSE PLATE HOLDER! I know it was them because they replaced it with a "Kersey Mobility" holder. They never asked if they could advertise on our car, and never asked we were attached to our own dealer's holder (we were). So, they delayed us more to be control freaks. We went a time before and were going to buy a car and driving system, until we learned that their estimate was $50,000 off! And not in the good way. So they've now blown their second chance. read more

Get EVERYTHING in writing! Total bait and switch tactics. Look at glassdoor.com and check to see what their own employees say about the Kersey's integrity & honesty. Knowing Kersey sells used vans on consignment, I dropped by with my 2005 Dodge VMI equpped minivan. Their mechanic test drove it, inspected it, and then their salesman offered me $8000. I called back a few days later and asked for $10,000. A salesman called me back several hours later, said he spoke to the mechanic & the owner and they could do $10,000. (They recently sold a 2005 with 40K miles for $24K. Mine had 99K miles) I accepted the offer. I dropped the van off after hours a few days later, then arranged to leave work early the next Friday to head down to Sumner (I live almost 2 hrs away in Everett.) to give them the title and sign the consignment papers. I called the salesperson on Friday morning and told him I was coming that afternoon. 20 minutes before I arrived, the same salesperson calls to tell me they decided to only offer $6000. He claimed they had found some additional things that van would need. I asked for an itemized list which was emailed to me several days later. There was NOTHING on that list that the mechanic and I hadn't discussed the first time they saw the van. They had my van, knew it would very inconvenient for me to take it back, so they tried to take advantage of me. (Remember, this is a van they would spend $1K to $2K according to their own estimate, then sell for $18K to $20K. $6K profit on a $2K investment apparently isn't enough profit when selling vehicles to disabled people.) Do not trust any verbal agreements. Get everything in writing. (I specifically asked them to send me a written offer of what they would give me for my van and have yet to receive anything.) There are other disability dealers that are trustworthy. Kersey will no doubt deny that their mechanic checked out the van before offering me $10K or insist that they found other things wrong with the van. I suggest looking at glassdoor.com and reading what their own employees say about the Kersey's integrity & honesty. read more

I am happy with the van I purchased. Its the sales people and staff that drag this business down. Be sure and document EVERYTHING you are told. Before leaving verify that what you were told is correct, it probably won't be. It's been 3 years since my purchase and I've had the unfortunate experience of dealing with 3 different salespeople who have lied about how the van performs as well as what services were included with the purchase. Another lied or never followed through on additional items purchased at a later date and/or the third never followed through with promised communication. My van is my lifeline because I cannot safely ride in a car. Continuing to have stories change with every interaction leaves me feeling vulnerable. With my disability I need as much stability in my life as possible. Unfortunately that doesn't come from Kersey. read more

Mike, Steve, and the front office, are always amazing and they go out of their way to keep us in a WORKING ramp van! I cannot say enough good things about them! VA sent us here for my husbands power scooter lift. They knew the scooter exceeded the lifts weight by 38 lbs., but went ahead and installed it anyways! Lets not forget, they had our car from 9-4, all day. We had it weighed as well afterwards as they were trying to change the weight with the VA. Now in order to quickly fix the problem the VA has to switch out our scooter, which will take a month, and in the meantime we have to use his wheelchair. Anything for a quick buck, such disappointment to considering this is suppose to be a family business. read more
