This place should definitely have more stars! They're so quick and I love how my nails have turned out every single time!

over all a terrible experience me and my friend went here around 5 and they rushed our nails just because they where about to close but if they wasn't gone do it right they shouldn't of started it the nails looked terrible and the service was even worse when we told them we didn't like it one of the ladies told us "if we don't like don't come back bye!" and they where using the same nail files on people which is very unsanitary every client is supposed to get there on nail file (I'm a cosmetologist) so i was very concerned. I got my eyebrows and chin waxed and I have to say the lady was extremely nice! While I was waiting for my nails to dry I noticed a lot of people come here to get there eyebrows waxed. I went here to get a refill for my birthday. It was a Saturday and there were only three employees working. The nails I already had on were hot pink powdered acrylic. The guy doing my nails had never seen colored powder before and was very confused which scared me from the start. I got black nails with my ring finger white with black horizontal stripes. The guy painted my nails then told me to wait for another girl to come do the design. The guy painted them very messy and there was paint on the skin around my nails. When the girl came over to do my design I had to get to add another coat because they were so messy. She did the design and it looked like my 10 year old cousin painted them for me. The prices are cheap $18 for the refill with design. I would never go to this place again. read more

Hi Yelpers, I am still on my quest for a new nail shop. Unique Nails was my shop of choice for the last 5 years. Nancy the owner always does a great job on waxing, & manicures. Unfortunately, my last 2 visits for a pedi/mani took 2 hours. I felt truly frustrated since I am a regular customer. Her sister is my preferred pedicurist however my last 2 visits she was unable to do pedicure so I told her husband that I would wait for his wife (Nancy). Well after about 20 mins he asked could he start my services and he would get Nancy to check them. I agreed and told him as long as the pedicurist with the brownish/red hair does not do anything for me. He as well as his wife (Nancy the owner) knows that after a bad experience with this particular pedicurist I do not want her to do any of my services. Well the husband did a great job on my pedicure, Nancy never came over to check but I was pleased with his work. He did not polish my toes and said Nancy would do them, well Nancy sent the person who I instructed them not to send to polish my toes, she did a tacky job on the polish and the color was not the one I had chosen. She kept polishing even after I told her that I wasn't pleased. I told the owner to remove the nail color from my toes and she agreed to straighten it out personally. Well she painted over the old color and added the lighter color I wanted. I was disappointed that she did not remove the old color and basically did a rush job by just painting on top of the other. She apologized for the long wait, apologized that her sister would do my pedicure next time, but she also told me the same thing on my previous visit that her sister would do the pedicure and did not. Needless to say I have not been back and I am still looking for a new nail salon. read more

They are always so nice to me and they do my eyebrows and nails perfectly. They always make small talk with me and they always help me carry my stuff. They are gentle and they are quick also. I would definitely recommend this place read more

I've been to Unique Nails in Gonzales, La. several times I keep going back because the owner is very pleasant. She does a nice pedicure which includes a extremely nice leg massage with the stones, hot oil, hot wax and hot towels. As far as the nail painting I think a little bit more attention could be paid to detail. I had to tell the nail tech on different instances to correct polish because it went outside the nail bed or the nail bed was not completely covered on the sides, however once it was bought to their attention it was corrected. I also have lip and eyebrow waxing done their sometimes. The lip waxing is always fine but I do think that a lot of nail salons often do not spend enough time shaping the brow rather than just tweezing or waxing the area.
